They never came to do the job but charged me nonetheless. I had to clean the gutter myself in May '13.

I had called the company regarding an estimate for gutter cleaning and other services. Andy Glenn came out promptly and gave a very thorough review of my needs and said he would email me an estimate the next day. After not hearing from him for several days, I called and talked with him. He said that the estimate was somewhere "in the system" but was able to give me the estimate for services over the phone. I asked when they would be able to clean the gutters. He told me their schedule changed daily and it could be sometime that week. I was put off by the fact that I wasn't able to get a definite time for services and that there seemed to be confusion about the price estimate. After I got off the phone, I decided to try another gutter cleaning company. Andy called the next day to apologize for the confusion, but I was still reluctant to use his company. After a couple of days, I reconsidered and am very glad I did. I called him and told him that although we had confusion in the beginning, I appreciated his professionalism in calling me and would like to begin with the gutter cleaning. He was able to have a crew out to my house that day. They were polite, friendly,and were able to discuss drainage concerns I had with knowledge and insight. They cleaned the gutters, flushed the downspouts, identified a drain that was clogged, cleaned up the gutter debris throughly and left a written explanation of what they did that day. They also left an estimate of what needed to be done to to the clogged drain and the cost for this service. I am glad I reconsidered and used Higher Ground's services. They turned out to be everything I wanted in a rainwater services company. I have other water issues I will definitely have them address with their through and professional services. And their prices are very competitive with others I had give me estimates. I is a refreshing experience when a company and a manager like Andy accept without question responsibility for a miscommunication and do over and above what I expected in terms of service. Very prompt in calling and getting to the job in a timely manner. I work from home and was unable to unlock the gate for them to get to the back gutter and I was assured that they would not disturb me during my work and this was definitely the case; which was very much appreciated. They even blew the leaves out of my walkway in my back yard (my whole yard needed to be raked, so a lot of the leaves that were there were not what they blew out of the gutters). The bill was left in my door as requested. Was very pleased and will use them again.

There was a miss communication in the beginning regarding what was covered in Angies' deal; however, the young man who came to do the work called his office, explained the situation, and they made good on what our paperwork announced as the "deal." He did an excellent job cleaning the windows.

Maybe I'm unusually ignorant of gutter dynamics, but I felt I should have been informed ahead of time that "cleaning" my gutters was going to destroy my gutter covers, which were in reasonably functional order. Now my gutters are totally unprotected.

Requested that they clean windows and blinds. I was initially told they did not do blinds but they would attempt to clean them. When workers arrived they knew nothing about blinds. The window cleaning was great! The blind cleaning included dusting the blinds. I could have done that myself. They offered to pressure wash the driveway after washing the front porch. No extra charge was incurred for the driveway.

First off: The two gentlemen who came to do the gutter cleaning were pleasant and polite and did a good job. They did leave some gutter debris in my foundation plantings which I had to clean up after they left, but overall I was satisfied. My issues were with scheduling. I called three weeks before the service date to make an appointment. The scheduler (Kathy, Karen?) said Tuesdays were when they covered north of town, so we settled on a Tuesday three weeks from the call. When I called on the day they were to come to check on arrival time, I was told mid to late afternoon. When they had not arrived by 4 p.m., I called and they said they would not be able to come that day because we were north of town?? When the workmen arrived on a rescheduled day, I asked for a quote on cleaning some windows. The scheduler had said I should discuss that with the workmen. They said they had not been advised of a need for window cleaning and had not brought the necessary supplies. Overall, I'd rate my experience a B-.

They did a good job overall. Communication was the only challenge. They didn't call until they were at my home instead of 30 minutes before as they said when I scheduled it. I ended up having to have them come later that day, but even so I still had to sit around waiting for them sine they were running late & hadn't called to let me know. . Once they arrived they did a good job & were in & out.

They arrived on time on the scheduled day and completed the work quickly and efficiently. The drain is working well and my basement wall is dry. I would definitely use them again.

They were great. They really knew what they were doing. They were skilled and had great problem solving from small property issues to large home-sites. They're on time and did the work well. They had great follow-up, even several months later. They are well worth their estimate.

I have a small home and the number of windows fell within this Angie's list " deal". However, I failed to read the. "Fine Print " regarding sectional windows- the one's with grids or mullions. This nearly doubled the "deal" price.

We had a branch fall on, dent, and pull a section of gutter down so the recent heavy rains overflowed out from that section. Before getting estimates, I also guessed that this run of gutter, which covers about 3/4 of the house and probably 80-85% of the runoff, was too small and also was probably in need of an additional downspout. There was no problem with the existing downspouts. Higher Ground was among the people I asked for an estimate and advice from. Higher Ground was prompt in providing the estimate, and broke the work down as I asked (replace the damaged section, replace the entire run, etc). The estimate was emailed to me promptly (next day, if I remember correctly). Unfortunately, my travel schedule and their backlog delayed the work a bit, but that was okay since the gutter worked under normal rain conditions. When I finally got a break from business travel and was home they called and the work was done the same day. The installer talked me through the options I was considering (size, adding a downspout), and confirmed what I thought I needed. His 5 person crew returned about an hour later, did the entire job took about 3 hours. Quality of the work was good. They cleaned everything up well, and in fact removed the leaves that had begun falling on the driveway and in the area (saving me about an hour's work on a Saturday). I'll be calling them back for new gutter guards shortly. We also have an estimate for some pressure washing and exterior window and screen washing, which we will also want done. Moral of the story is I am happy with the work, the way they were able to work around my schedule, and the price. They will be back to do more work, and I would recommend them to anyone in need of the services they provide.

The only problem I experienced was that the deal I purchased was for gutter cleaning, but when they came out to do this they explained that since I had gutter guards on my gutters, what i actually needed was power washing, not gutter cleaning. Although they had also offered a deal for power washing, they would not just transfer the deal I purchased over to that. So they charged me full price for power washing the gutters and the front of the house. So, not to say I wouldn't use them again, I just wouldn't buy a Big Deal from them again, since I did not feel that that part was really handled fairly. But the power washing they did seemed fine.

We've had a LOT of rain, so I knew they'd be busy. But I called first thing in the morning, and Jim's guys came out on their way home that afternoon. Everything was done and cleaned up in an hour. I REALLY appreciated the quick response! Thank you so much!

The service provider was polite and efficient, had all ladders and equipment in and out quickly. he did a terrific job!

They came out and did a great job cleaning our gutters, and let us know of a few suggested repairs.

My roof is very steep so its hard to clean our gutters. I am so happy with the service I received through Higher Ground, the workers were very professional and explained the drainage issues we were having and solutions they had. I will defiantly be using them in the future especially after the fall foliage!

Arrived promptly and did an outstanding job. We asked for an estimate on gutters and were given a rough estimate. We received an official estimate by email a few days later.

It took two and a half months to get an appointment scheduled. The day before the appointment I had to call and see if it was still on. Later in the day a message was left that HALF OF THE WORK would be done as scheduled (the gutters only), and the other part (the gutter guards and vent boots) would be done at a later (unspecified) date. Another message was left by the subcontractor (also on the day before the appointed half-installation), and I called him back. Ben had apparently not conveyed that downspouts and elbows would be part of the job, and I have no idea whether the subcontractor knew what size gutters were to be installed. I cancelled the job, and wouldn't vouch for the company. In fairness, all representatives of the company were very pleasant, and may have been overscheduled, due to a record monsoon season, but I'm disappointed.

This group comes EXACTLY when they say will come. For gutter work you don't even need to be home. This is a messy job and bu the time they finished all was clean as can be. I will use them again and again! Thank you Higher Ground!
