I know they are on Angie's List. They were very very prompt. They came that day and did the work. The workers were good to talk to and straightforward. They fixed the problem within about 30 minutes.

They were here on time and worked two days installing Ceiling Fans and Lights. It was a tough job but they got it done. They cleaned up after they finished. They were fantastic.

The helpers I think sometimes they really don't know what they are doing. There are two of them that show up and one of them is an apprentice. I have no problem with them. They did put in some motion sensor lights and I don't think it's working properly. So I do have to call them again about that. They are very nice and do customer service really well. They show up when they are supposed to. I haven't had any contacts with any other electricians and I think their price is reasonable.

Setting an appointment was easy, and the electrician was very punctual. Harrington did a great job - we've been very happy with the quality of work they did (the electrician also balanced the fans for us after installation, and did a great job).

Rick came out to discuss our electrical situation. He said that unless we were doing major renovations, to leave it like it is now. When I do our kitchen upgrade, I'll call him again. Very nice, polite, and professional.

Excellent! Our previous job with Harrington Elec. was such a positive experience that we contacted him when we wanted to buy a 'whole house' generator. Rick recommended the size and brand and purchased it for us. Since we needed to replace the breaker Rick pulled the permit and advised us to call the power company to schedule a service drop. His electricians, Mike and Mauricio arrived on schedule and performed the necessary work on the outside elec box and inside panel. They scheduled the county inspector and also handled calling the electric company when the job was near completion to get our power back on promptly. While Mike and Mauricio worked they answered all the (many) questions and scenario's we presented regarding operation of our new generator and breaker. They also cleaned up the old wiring in the existing panel. The job was complete in one day. Once again our trust was well-placed with the folks at Harrington Electric, Inc. Thanks Rick, Mike and Mauricio!

We called Rick and set an appointment for him to come out and a**** and advise us on our LR/DR lighting. We wanted to replace the old, insufficient lighting and can fixtures with new lights. He arrived promptly and we discussed our needs. Rick recommended adding track lighting to the beams in our vaulted ceiling and removing the old canned lights. Since we could not envision how the final product would look and perform we had to put our trust in Rick's experience and we are glad we did! Mark and Mike arrived on time to complete our project. They worked non-stop and did a beautiful job. We now have track lighting that runs the length of two of the ceiling beams and provides plenty of light for reading and other tasks and is on dimmer switches. They placed the light switches in a much more convenient location than the old switches. They took care to angle each light perfectly towards seating in our LR and DR and highlight the rock wall of our fireplace. They were very careful with the flooring and furniture and cleaned up completely. We spent a couple of months with our new track lights to make sure we were happy with them before deciding what to do with the old cans and lights. Mark stopped by on his way home one day to try out a new type of can and be sure it fit. In the end, I painted the old trim to match the new ceiling color. We decided to remove the arms and get bulbs that were flush mounted with the ceiling/trim. While Mike was here on another job (see my report dated 7/28/11) he removed the old arms from the canned lights, installed the trim and new bulbs. Although there were some email communication issues between us and Rick we are very happy customers! We have used him on another much larger job and will continue to recommend his services. Rick and his team of electricians are super nice people who are experienced, professional and trustworthy.

They are excellent on their service, when they would be here. They are excellent in everything.

Rick Harrington came out to our home and went over all our areas of concern. Emailed us a repair schedule which we agreed to. Jeff, the electrician who did the repairs was very punctual and neat. We were subsequently emailed the bill which was a little higher than origionally estimated by Rick, but my husband had Jeff upgrade the transformer which caused part of the cost difference. The only surprise was the amount of $ per hour. I was told by Rick that he was sending two workers at a cost of $85 per hour, but sent only Jeff at $55 per hour (charged for 6 hours). Other than that we were very happy with the work performed and would recommend them.

Gentleman arrived on time . Explained and showed him area of problem. He worked effiently and was very courteous. Job was quickly done. I was extremely pleased and will use Harrington Electric in the future when the need arises. Would recommend them to friends and family.

Excellent. He arrived a few minutes early, got right to work, answered all of our questions, and even referred us to a well-pump company that he's used. This is the company we will call for any future electrical service needs.

I called in the morning and talked to Mr. Harrington. He told me his crew would come in the afternoon and do the job. They came when he said they would, did good work, and did it quickly. We were very satisfied and will use them again.

I spent between $1000 and $2000. The work turned out great. I asked them a million questions and they always answered all my questions. They were very prompt, professional and very quick. They were here for a long time. I thought that they were less expensive and more responsive than a couple of other electricians that I had dealt with in the past. The owner of the company came out and did an estimate. It was a time and financial commitment estimate. My work schedule changes every week. So they were very flexible as to when I could schedule the work to be done. I need to have some more work done before I could have the electrical work finished. So, I am about to call them back again. They are going to put in some ceiling fans, light fixtures and a couple more ground fault interrupter switches.

It went very well, the trouble shooting I had already had someone look at it and couldn't find anything.The Harrington crew could not find anything wrong with the baseboard either, we had a spike in our bill and it was attributed to Duke Power. There were a few snags with the location of the box for the new service. I had specified where I wanted it.... which got overlooked (I was currently out of town) Rick was ready and willing to make up for any problems, I would say, bent over backwards, for customer satisfaction. Quote for the job was realistic (I had already had a couple other quotes) very prompt, very neat work, and one business owner that still believes in customer satisfaction.

Everything went better than expected! We called for the estimate several months prior to saving up the money for the job. When we were ready they finished within a week from the call back. We were way under the original estimate because the work was in the walls and tricky to know for sure. We are thrilled.

All the work was done in a timely manner and I appreciated that the workers were careful to make a minimum amount of mess and cleaned up after themselves. Rick was easy to contact concerning any questions, additions, or minor glitches . Everything was finished to my complete satisfaction and his dollar estimate of the original work proposed was correct. Great job and great company to work with!

Was referred to Rick Harrington by a friend. I had already got estimates from Home Depot and Lowes for a Generac 20K generator. Neither would be installed by local companies. Rick gave me an estimate over $4,000 less than the others and for a better (aluminum housing) generator and a superior switching box. His crew arrived on schedule and did excellent job on the instillation. They left the job site spotless after each of three visits. Today, a Saturday, we had our first power outage during a snow storm and everything worked perfectly, until the power came back on and a faulty relay switch had a continual buzzing noise. I called Rick and he had one of his guys, named Mark, come within 30 minutes to my house. Mark had to walk up our steep mountainside road in the snow and ice to change out the relay, which they keep in stock. Couldn't be more pleased with the installation and service that they did. The Home Depot service people are 150 miles away and would have had to travel through the mountains in a blizzard.

Rick is a great guy. His guys got everything up to speed without doing any unnecessary work. On one occasion they showed up within 2 hours of my call for a non-urgent matter. Rick made phone calls to the city inspector to expedite the process. His technicians were efficient and his prices fair. He will get all my electrical business.

I called Rick Harrington (Harrington Electric, Inc located at 8 Laurel Road in Arden, North Carolina 28704. Phone 828-681-0297 ) on 12-15-2010 at 8 a.m. He answered the phone promptly with a very friendly and professional manner and asked me to describe my problem. After I explained the garage door issue, he then asked me to try several things (GFCI tripped?, circuit breaker tripped?, etc) which might resolve the problem and eliminate the need for an electrician and a needless service charge. Unfortunately, the problem wasn't taken care of so easily but Rick scheduled an appointment for that afternoon. When I told him I also needed a light fixture installed also, he gave me the option of buying the fixture myself or having his men buy it and charging cost plus 25%. I chose to have him supply the fixture rather than risk buying the wrong fixture. His electrician and electrician's helper showed up 30 minutes early (which was a very pleasant surprise); they introduced themselves and asked that I show them the work areas and describe the problems. Both young me were extremely courteous, neat, very efficient, and unobtrusive. They explained what they did and cleaned up after themselves totally. They said that Rick would e-mail me the bill. I thought this was a nice touch because I like having the option to live with repairs for a bit before I pay for them just in the event the work is not complete. Rick called me 12-17-10 at 9 a.m. to verify my e-mail address and inquire as to the work done. I told him I was so very happy with his service and his fantastic employees and that I had already strongly recommended him to my two realtors who are always looking for good tradespeople. This was a totally great experience and so unlike most of my very unpleasant/unsatisfactory experiences hiring "professionals" who are frequently unprofessional and with varying degrees of competence (or should I say incompetence?). Harrington is extremely reliable, professional and helpful. They actually came in under their estimate since they did not have to perform all the tasks on our long list. They are a pleasure to deal with. I highly recommend them.

We were having a problem with flickering lights on one electrical cicuit. Their electrican Sam arrived on time and found several circuit breakers that were arcing on the panel. He tried to fix the problem by replacing the damaged circuit breakers without sucess. He then reccomended replacing the electrical panel which he did. Sam worked at our house for a day and a half. We are very satisfied with the quallity of his work. He was very knowlegeable and professional in his work.

The company was very responsive to my call. The owner called back within an hour and got a repairman to the house that afternoon. The person was professional, polite, and fast! The work was excellent.

Outstanding. We had 4 different electricians give us an estimate for removing a 20 year old florescent light in the kitchen ceiling and replace it with canister lights. All 4 wanted to tear up the kitchen ceiling to take the wires cross the beams. Rick came in and looked for about 15 minutes and came up with an extremely safe way to take the wires through the kitchen ceiling without so much as creating any hole that needed to be patched. His idea was very simple and worked like a dream (you couldn't go in from over the kitchen because there was a bathroom and bedroom over the kitchen). His people showed up on time, worked extremely efficiently and completed everything in one day (with respect to the 7 canister lights and ceiling fan). We then ordered two pendent lights and they came back the day the lights were delivered. Finish the job and did some misc. items. Couldn't ask for better workers and they new their stuff.

Repairs went fine, had some issues at first but were resolved completely. Very happy with service provided.
