When I called to get an estimate, Rick Harrington told me what we were doing wrong. He also said it is explained on their website. Our breakers were not bad and we were not charged for the advice. Will definitely call him if we have another electrical problem.

I had a 30 year old bathroom fan removed and a newer model installed, and Harrington Electric did a fantastic job! They were professional, efficient, and the owner Rick communicated on the status often. I highly recommend this company.

Work always went well. Price was more than fair and servicemen were both friendly and professional. Because of their consistent friendliness, competence, punctuality and reliability, I would never go anywhere else. I have found these rare attributes to be like quite a few enterprises in other fields of work in this smaller city, really refreshing!

Just fine as always. Used them for almost 2 decades and never a problem. Greatly appreciate it when they say that they cannot do a job immediately and help me find someone else, although I would almost always prefer to wait if there were no emergency. Cannot give a $$ amount because their service extended for so many years.

Everything went great, the quality of the work was excellent. Fair estimates and completed as promised. Bonus: easy online bill pay!

Mike and Gus were the two employees who arrived BEFORE scheduled time (awesome). They surveyed the job and then went to work. They took about 50 minutes and it looks GREAT

Rick was able to give an estimate over the phone for the basic work. The faulty breaker was discovered by the electricians at the job site. Mauricio & Marcelo arrived on time and ready to work. After explaining what needed to be done, they presented us with options for outlet placement, colors, and identified some possible issues. They got right to work and didn't stop until they were done. Upon finding the faulty (burned) 2 pole breaker, they quickly identified a replacement and retrieved it. They were back within the hour and completed the job. In all the job took approximately 5 hours. The electricians were professional, respectful, and left the site cleaner than when they arrived. The price was more than fair for the amount of work done and from the very first phone call to Harrington Electric, you could tell it was a customer focused, professionally run company. On time, very polite, quick to get to work, well done and clean. Overcame a challenging physical situation where the fan was to go. Installed fan and when done, fan motor was faulty. He took the unit back down so I could return it, repacked it perfectly, and arranged to have a separate invoice sent to my email (right away) so I could return the fan and get them to pay for his wasted time. Had them come back and finish the installation of the replacement fan, it went very smoothly. Will definitely be using them again.

They troubleshooted my outlets over the phone and then sent technicians to work on my light switches. They were very punctual, professional,and repaired the problem quickly. I highly recommend Harrington electric. We will be using them from now on.

The entire organization is very friendly, well organized, efficient, high quality work, high quality material was always used. The same crew that started installation last year continued and finished the job this year and they remembered what to do and even made a couple of changes too. Harrington Electric is the BEST electric company in western N. Carolina.

The work was excellent. They did an excellent job. They cleaned up after themselves and left the place better than I looked when I got there. The electricians were very good. They were very polite and very friendly. Responsiveness was an A+.

I have used Harrington Electric in the past so they were my first option when I needed work done on a rental unit. They scheduled a service call for 0800 the following Thursday and called the day before to confirm. The electrician arrived on time and went immediately to work. They installed a new exhaust vent fan and light (I provided the vent fan/light), including attaching the metal flex duct to the gable. They cleaned up their mess afterward. I will continue to use Harrington Electric and I highly recommend them for all your household electrical service needs. As always, a big thank-you to RIck!!

They were excellent. They do what they say. They come when they say they would. They were fair with their charges. They had to come out a couple of times. They did an excellent job.

After contacting two local electricians with no response for weeks, I joined Angie's List and found Harrington Electric. We are sure glad we did! I called before office hours, left a message and within an hour received a call from their office manager. We emailed our specs and had an estimate from Rick Harrington that afternoon. They began work a few days after the estimate arriving right on time. Mauricio and Marcelo were the electricians who worked on the shed with Rick staying in contact with us and his crew. The job was done extremely well and we now have a warm, lighted shed for my husband. Harrington was efficient, professional, friendly and did such a good job that we are going to call them for some outdoor lighting projects next. We highly recommend them and will be using them in the future.

It went great...about as stress-free as we could have possibly hoped. Rick is very professional and so are his workers.

Workers insured that the chandelier was centered appropriately and that the speakers were installed properly and were very neat in cleaning up as well as ensuring that all furniture was protected. For the great room they accessed above the ceiling by going through a garage ceiling attic entrance to ensure proper placement of the speakers by finding pre-installed wiring. The under cabinet lights required running electrical connections down from the top of the cabinets in the kitchen and then very neatly aligned the lights and connected them. Dining, great room and outdoor porch were all cathedral ceilings. They were in the home on two separate occasions ( due to homeowner having equipment} for a total of ten hours. The price was quoted from the start and didn't change. I highly recommended this firm.

The two men who came to install the light fixture were efficient and professional and they cleaned up after the job. They seemed very knowledgeable. In addition, they picked up the light fixture from the lighting store where I had ordered it. They had the right equipment for an installation in a foyer with a 22 ft. ceiling. I will definitely use them again.

Everything is fixed or installed and works flawlessly. The technician is professional, friendly and competent as well as extra tidy. It required two trips to complete, as the 18 foot ceiling is just barely within the reach of a 12 foot ladder and not safe to do on. Overall, the price was good enough to prevent me from buying a ladder and doing the chandelier myself against my wife's wishes. Not to mention likely saving me the heart attack from my fear of heights on an unsteady ladder.

Great experience. Rick came out to give me an estimate after normal business hours to work with my schedule. The price was right where we expected it to be. (I got a couple quotes) I had no knowledge of Harrington Electric, but I found them on Angie's List and they are located close to us. The guys showed up when they said they would. The work was done promptly and Rick was there when they started the job. Everything went as planned and the work was done neatly and professionally. I will definitely use Harrington Electric in the future if we have the need for an electrician.

Superior professionalism from beginning to end! I had several estimates for this job, but Rick clearly was the most knowledgeable about and experienced in the installation of these generators. He explained all my options, made recommendations to fit my budget and my top priorities, chose the best site and even scheduled the person to do the gas pipe installation. On the day of installation his three man crew arrived promptly and set to work very politely and efficiently. Mark, who supervised the team, was especially helpful in determining which circuits could and should be powered by the generator to provide maximum comfort and security. He returned the next day to make the final connections, test the generator, and teach me what I needed to know. Rick arrived shortly thereafter to make certain the job had been done correctly and to my satisfaction. It was an outstanding job by an outstanding company.

The surge protector was installed first. While the contractors were here, we had them look at the other job, and give us an estimate. Everyone we dealt with was friendly, prompt, and hardworking. We were very pleased with the excellent service we got, and will defiinitely use this company for future electrical needs!

Both of the electricians were professional, very neat in both their appearance and in their work. They did their work, efficiently. They were careful of the house not damaging anything inside or outside. We have an older house and when asked to point out any other electrical issues that we should fix, they did so with being alarmists. We will continue to use them.

Rick was prompt in all aspects from giving estimates to scheduling and finishing the work. The two workers who did all of the work were two brothers from Chile (Marcel and M......). Let's just call them the Mand M brothers. They were good, fast, personable, and quite funny. They moved two ceiling fixtures, installed and moved multiple outlets, installed two pendants on dimmers, installed 16 feet of under cabinet tape LED lighting, and installed wiring for a wall oven and a cooktop. For the two 220 lines new circuit breakers were added. They did all of this while working around a bumbling incompetent Home Depot cabinet installer (DO NOT HIRE home depot for cabinet install). Rick Harrington was around $3000 less than an estimate that I got from Home Depot for the electrical portion of the work. I definitely will use them again. There was one mishap where one of the workers put his foot through the ceiling. As it turns out my sheet rock man had a lot of wall and ceiling work to do already and he did not charge me any more to fix it. Also I am an amateur guitarist and it was cool to talk to Rick about music and playing. He is quite accomplished as a guitarist and singer and he gave me one of his CDs which I think is very good.
