Description of Work: removed large tree which fell in a storm and removed other trees I had previously cut down.

Description of Work: Very professional. I called three companies to quote a challenging job to bring to 70 foot trees down between houses, more trees and power lines. They seemed to be the only company who understood the scope of the project and had a plan to tackle it. The crew that came out was puctual, friendly and communicative. They worked a very long day and got an incredible amount accomplished. I was very impressed.

Description of Work: We had a large maple tree (3 feet in diameter) that was dying and needed to be removed. It was very close to our house and also close to some power lines. Asheville Arborists removed it and also did some crown cleaning to removed dead branches from 2 other large oak trees in our yard. They were very nice, knowledgeable and professional and did a great job. The only thing I was disappointed about was the amount of sawdust we were left to deal with afterwards. We paid extra for the hauling and dump fees to dispose of the tree and also paid extra for the stump grinding. What we did not realize was that even though the wood and sawdust from the cutting down of the tree would be disposed of, the sawdust from the grinding of the stump would not. This would not be a big deal for a smaller tree, but for a tree of this size, we had a mountain of sawdust to deal with. To be fair, the small print in the contract said that the sawdust from the stump grinding would not be removed, but we did not notice that and never having a tree removed before, we would not have had any idea of the quantity of the sawdust anyway. I thought Asheville Arborists did a great job overall. I enjoyed working with them and would use them again. I just wish they had given me a heads up about the aftermath. I would highly recommend them to others, but wanted to let future customers know that you should plan ahead as to how you are going to deal with the sawdust. You cannot use it to mulch garden beds until it has aged at least a year because it will kill your plants if you use it too soon.

Description of Work: When it looked like it would take a while for them to get back and schedule me, I called back about the urgency of limbs falling and they worked me in quickly. Good job cleaning out dead limbs from huge maple, and went back to trim more on one limb I was especially concerned about. These folks seem knowledgeable and interested in the health of the tree, not just what "looks" worrisome to a naive homeowner, and they take time to listen and explain--a big plus in using them.

Description of Work: I had a very large pine tree in my back yard that cracked at the base of the trunk and had to be cut down quickly or it could fall on my house. The crew was great! They were organized and efficient. They cleaned the mess, hauled away debris and were gone quickly.

Description of Work: They removed a diseased tree covered in poison ivy from my property and ground down and removed the stump. They did an excellent job and even provided photos to prove the tree was not salvageable. Their work was prompt but not inexpensive. The job turned out to be more difficult than anticipated and therefore more costly.

Description of Work: Their response was very quick, and the man who came out was very knowledgeable. I had no doubts that they could do the work in a prompt and professional manner. I did find another company that gave me a significantly less expensive quote, however, and, times being what they are, I went with the less expensive company. No reflection at all on Asheville Arborists qualifications--I really was impressed with them!

Description of Work: Very personable on the phone, I contacted him as instructed, he got my name, address, email address, phone number. Was coming the same day. Talked about what I wanted done. He seemed to understand. Would contact me after he looked things over. I wouldn't even have to be home, which I was. No show that day, not really a problem, stuff happens, but there was no contact whatsoever over the rest of the week or weekend. Past experience with "tree" people and other contractors, leaves me with little patience for this kind of disservice.

Description of Work: I have a tree down in my back yard--Looking for someone to cut it and haul it away. Saw the ad for tree service--bought the ad--when we contacted him he said we needed to have $400.00 minimum. I thought I overlooked something, but the ad didn't mention 400 dollars----life is too short--Angie's List has provided wonderful service on several projects--I enjoy the service and don't care for drama---I will find someone else to do the job

Description of Work: One of the owners came several weeks before to give us an estimate. He took his time with us, walking our property, answering our questions and giving his suggestions. It was a crew of three, including the owners who came on the appointed day. They quickly and safely took down several large trees, cleaned out lots of pines, cut down dead branches, and generally cleaned out the trees and woods near our home. They brought a chipper and left us the fresh mulch with suggestions on where to use it. They kept in conversation with us as to priorities as the alloted time was coming to a close.

Description of Work: Large dead tree felling and removal. Took down large dead trees that were leaning on live trees. Some trimming of live trees. A lot of mulching using chipper & truck. Work was completed in Waynesville. February 2016 - arborist consultation

Description of Work: Pruning, cutting out dead wood, felling several huge trees, cutting usable trees into firewood lengths, cleaning up after their work, etc. They were very professional, clean, on time, and easy to work with.
