Wonderful job of refitting the redone cushion -- crimping was applied to accommodate the seat/cushion placement. Also re-glued the loose parts of the wooden structure. My grandfather made this chair and I was thrilled that it will now last another 90 years.

I was absolutely thrilled with the results. The covers fit perfectly and are made identically to the leather ones, which remain on the cushions. (My dogs were giving the leather rather a hard time.) The job was completed in one day less than the time promised, and I am so happy with the result.

Wonderful workmanship; expertise and very high quality work, protecting the integrity of fragile wood, hand carved and with inlay. responsive and easy to communicate with; friendly, honest, and hardworking. we would absolutely work with them again. We were particularly impressed with the quality of their work, preserving and restoring a fragile antique family piece!

They were really great to work with and went the extra mile to make sure we had the right leather to make the end result look fabulous. We wanted a padded seat that could stand the heat of a fireplace, that would look great and also provide some cushion for our young kids who like to run full speed past the stone hearth. Mission accomplished and at an affordable price.

This team is just the best! When Pete arrives to picks up the job, I know my worries are over, the biggest project then is to go shopping for the perfect fabric. It's all so easy, with a consolation with Pete and Nelly on getting the right amount of material, to deciding the construction and style of the cushions. After being notified that the job was complete,I came by for the final inspection; and what a beauty, the cushions were luxurious and perfectly sized to the sofa, the workmanship was absolutely beautiful and I could not be happier.

Overall, we were pleased with the quality of the work and with the responsiveness and good attitude of Peter, with whom we dealt. I would advise customers to call the shop before going there to drop off or pick up items, because it's possible that Peter will be out on a delivery and that the shop will be temporarily closed.

My father was a master upholsterer for 60 years. Therefore, I am knowledgeable of and not at all easily impressed when it comes to upholstery. My dad is, unfortunately, gone now, and for the first time since his passing I have now experienced an upholstery job that would have been up to his very demanding standards. Peter of Nelly's Upholstery would have made my dad proud. Peter took great care to understand exactly what we were looking for and he over-delivered on not only the workmanship, but also on professionalism. He made the entire process easy and pleasurable for us. And when he found out that we were looking to have the furniture back in time for a visit by a friend of ours who has back problems, he worked extra hours so that he could get the set to us in time, delivering the furniture back to us four days earlier than his original commitment! The work was not only timely, but wonderfully done. The sofa and loveseat are actually BETTER than new. We are unbelievably happy that we contacted Nelly's upholstery and that Peter did this fantastic job for us. Having been spoiled by my dad, my wife and I have been reticent to get upholstery work done and have only used upholsterers when there was no other choice. But now my wife is already cooking up other projects that she wants Nelly's Upholstery to do for her,

Work was impeccable! Style was followed perfectly, seaming perfect. Nelly made three pillows from leftover leather. Their estimate was lower than the work required, but they stood by their original price. I voluntarily added to the amount charged to make up some of the difference. Nelly and her son are friendly, dependable and very professional. I highly recommend them!

The entire job took three weeks. The cane chairs had covered buttons on the cushion plus a small lumbar pillow. Each arm had a small upholstered area. There were two additional cushions with zippers for two chairs I had at home. This was a stripe material I provided and everything was self corded, some even double corded. Peter is very personable and Nelly's work is superior! Peter said three weeks and that is what it took. These two smiling people are terrific and I highly recommend them.

As figuring how to get the car seat out of the car would have been very time consuming and therefore, expensive, I had a friend remove the car seat first and I dropped it off to Peter. Nelly's did a very good job of matching the fabric, sewing and replacing the cover. He called me a few times to discuss options for the fabric and then he completed the work in the time frame he quoted and for the price quoted. He was friendly and professional and I am certainly happy with the end product. The only minor complaint I had was that when I went over to take him the car seat at 2 pm, the shop was closed. Peter was out for a delivery and would not be back for 40 mins and the workshop was not staffed in his absence. A bit of an inconvenience - be sure to call ahead and check he is there!

Nelly did the work very quickly in the exact amount of time that had been estimated. We picked out the material at the cloth shop then Nelly's son, Peter, picked up the material for us so it did not take an additional trip to the shop. Nelly and her son are delightful to meet and visit. A real pleasurable experience!

I gave Peter and Nelly two re-upholstery projects recently -- an antique wooden arm chair with fabric back/ seat and tuxedo-style couch. Both were done perfectly, on time and for the agreed upon fee. Workmanship was excellent! Peter and Nelly were wonderful to work with. I highly recommend their services.

This is the second upholstery job we have taken to Nelly and Peter, and again we are very happy with the work. The pattern on the counter seats was matched perfectly, and overall the upholstery was done beautifully. In addition, we asked Nelly to do matching pillows and placemats with the extra fabric, and we are very happy with those as well. Nelly and Peter are always great to work with. They take pride in a job well done and provide service with a smile! When we have upholstery jobs in the future, we will definitely call on them.

We had bought a new arm chair but wanted to use a fabric that was more in keeping with the interior of the room where the chair was to be placed. We took both the chair and fabric to Nelly's and they gave us a quote and timeframe to do the work. The chair was completed on time and the workmanship was more than expected. It was important that the main object of the pattern be perfectly centered; it was and on the back of the chair as well. Where appropriate she used double welting too.

Outstanding work and customer service. I even dropped by unexpectedly to inquire about some fabric I already purchased. Peter was very helpful by measuring my existing fabric and advising how many more yards I would still need to purchase. They even went the extra mile of saving the brand name of the chairs that was under the cushions. This is a nice touch since it retains the integrity of the chairs. The arm covers I purchased for each chair had been lined--another great attention to detail. Peter and Nelly were extremely responsive to my numerous questions, and called to inform me when the chairs were actually being started. I look forward to using Nelly and Peter again for all my reupholster needs.

I drove less than a mile away from the fabric store, which was so convenient! I spoke with the proprietors Nelly and Peter. I described the size and dimensions of my chais, and what I would like done. They gave me an estimated quote, and I returned later with the chairs and fabric. I didn't have the trimming for the chair, but fortunately Nelly suggested something she was already working on from another chair, which I liked also. They picked up more for me at the fabric shop and added it to the bill. I did not have to pay a deposit. They took my information, and called me 2 weeks later to pick up the chairs. It should be noted that I had told them I was not in a rush, and yet they still got both chairs done in a fair amount of time. They were obviously working on several orders, and still got to me within a professional length of time. Despite the fact their small business has been opened for about 7 months, they have built up a steady business with much hard work and well earned high quality reputation. I am already planning for another chair to be upholstered by them very soon!

When I called this vendor I received a friendly and informative greeting, a time frame in which I could expect the sofa to be completed, price, information regarding fabric and a pick up time. The workmanship is absolutely flawless, and the finished product is really beautiful.
