From 7am to 4pm, the Stonecreek team were hard at work and at the end of the day, I was left with a beautiful front lawn. Now the responsibility was on me to water it. I've been waking up every morning for the past week + to keep it watered. I'm excited to have a beautiful new lawn and although the zoysia grass goes dormant (turns brown) in winter, it will be lush and green in the spring and I'll save money on my water bill since this grass loves the sun. Two days after the job was completed, Mike personally came back out to check on the progress and ensure that no problem spots presented.

I was told I need to take out the old lawn and put in a new one because the old lawn was not looking good. I will admit I know nothing about yards and I explained this to the owner of Stonecreek. I wanted a new lawn that looks nice. I paid $1900.00 for a small lawn (about 500sq ft) to be put in the front of my home and I asked for a variety of Azalea bushes (6) to be put it. Stone creek put in bermuda grass and a row of small azaleas. I began to see the new lawn looking like the old lawn, there was not real difference. Remember how much rain we were getting this summer. I asked them what to do. I was told bluntly to water more. I did. No improvement. I asked why no improvement and I was told "there are no refunds". I was told they would fertilize the lawn for free, but I learned later that should have come with the service. I was not asking for refunds I was asking what to do. I asked why the ivy was not trimmed over and over and I was told it was on a "need to do basis" I said it was overgrowing the walkway. I was told "it is an extra charge". Not once did I feel Stone Creek tried to support my efforts to have a nice yard. They mowed it poorly on occassion and when I complained I was told "it will grow back". This is not the service I signed up for. I expected more support even if it was only in understanding the process. I also expected to know what was included and what was not. I do not like to learn after the fact what the problems or cost are going to be. Only after a long conversation on emails before I was told...."that costs more" I just had to many poor emails back and forth, and poor results in their efforts to say this was a job well done. Just tell me in the beginning I am fine. drag it out I feel like I am being used.. Stone Creek solution to this was to offer the $200 a month plan maintainence plan. I was already paying about $160.00 to $200.00 in basic mowing and blowing fees. These fees did not come with an explaination. Mike needs to review his emails and see what was said. First off my new gardner confirms my grass area is less the 550sq. Second all I say in this email I have emails to back up my statements. This was the poorest working relation I have ever had. Extra charges were never stated until I complained and I got "as needed" . I do not understand that "as needed" meant I had to pay more. He should have stated it in the beginning. By the way, The Ivy took less then 45 minutes to trim. He only knows how to make excuses. Very poor service and support. Total lack of communications. That is what I am basing this review on.

Stone Creek is really spectacular. Mike and his crew are professional, polite, punctual and follow up after the install. I wouldn't use anyone else ever again.

They have been very good. They have been here every week. They have been prompt and easy to deal with.

I wanted to replace my foundation shrubs with more suitable plants, and I was also considering some additional plantings at another location. Mike set up a time to meet me very quickly after my initial contact. We discussed the options and he was very honest about the 'additional' plantings I was considering, which he didn't think were a good idea given the limited space. He was willing to move forward with my request, but after further consideration, I came to the realization that he was right--the additional plants were not the best idea. I appreciated his honesty. We moved forward with replacement of the foundation shrubs. He and his crew came out the day they said they would (quite rare in my personal experience with landscapers) and the finished product looks fantastic. I asked them to set aside the old plants for someone else to take, and when I got home they were in pots! In the end, it was a small job, but it was first class.

They arrived when promised (with a slight rain delay). Very professional in appearance & manner.

We were looking to add wired landscape lighting to illuminate our home in the evening. Mike came out to assess our property and make some suggestions on type of lighting, location of lights and number of lights needed. He gave us a very large brochure of products to choose from and some ballpark figures on prices based on light style such as standard vs LED. We chose the LED lights despite the higher cost due to long bulb life and low electricity costs. We were concerned with the appearance of LED lights being too bright and white but Mike assured us the lights we chose would look just like standard lights if we used amber filters and he was right. Now we have the soft white look of traditional bulbs but the long bulb life and low electricity usage of LED lights. Once we chose the product the lights were custom ordered for us and as soon as the product was ready Mike came out with his crew to install. They did a great job and worked very quickly. They were able to simply install a transformer on the side of our house near our AC units instead of trying to tap into the main electrical panel which was surrounded by our concrete driveway this made installation easy and construction free. They easily ran wires under concrete paths and paver stone paths and as a result the house looks great. We originally were not going to put lights in our backyard but Mike's suggestion convinced us and we are glad it did. Now our back patio and fire pit area as well as the path to the deck are perfectly lit. I am very happy with the lighting we chose and in the end paid about $200 per light installed which included the cost of the transformer. Assuming these bulbs last the 15 to 20 years Mike suggests they will we will certainly get our money's worth. Additionally the customer service from this company was excellent. About two months after our purchase the lights didn't come on one night so I reset the system and the next night same thing. I called Mike over the weekend and he came out on Monday and fixed the problem which was a bad wire in the transformer. Since then the lights have been working great and I have piece of mind that if any other issues occur Mike will come out and correct the situation. I would certainly use Stone Creek Landscaping again in the future. A great overall experience.

NOT GOOD!

I was quite pleased with Stone Creek Landscaping. Mike was very responsive and easy to work with. He had already installed a number of sprinkler systems in our neighborhood and came highly recommended. The sprinklers were installed quickly and have worked wonderfully ever since. I found his price to be competitive. I would definitely recommend them.

The process went well from start to finish. Mike was prompt for all appointments and communication was easy from start to finish. He kept us up-to-date as to the progress of the projects and finished on time and on budget.

We are 100% satisfied. Mike recommended bermuda for our backyard and he was right as our yard is now lush and beautiful. In addition, our driveway is now dry and puddle-free for the first time in years. They even improved the drainage throughout our entire yard. The team was courteous, conscientious and neat. Mike was a constant throughout the planning and execution. We will continue using Stone Creek for future projects.
