Poor,unprofessional and disrespectful must say he’s super busy and probably made Ton of money but his lackluster of customer service and obnoxious back n forth email bickering within 24 hours does depict Mike the owner got some issues may be he needs to pull off ads on Angis list if you have a bias way of running your show I could clearly sense his racist thoughts from his email communication. Never had an issue with the team pretty nice but owner is truly nonsense would not recommend this guy to an enemy . Courtesy and customer service does take you far in business buddy.

Work was done quickly and well, the plants, mulch, and trimming all look great. There was also a constant soft / muddy spot in the middle of the font lawn that was a mystery. The Town of Cary said it was not household water, irrigation water, or a sewer leak, so it must be your foundation drains(?!) Antonio from Stone Creek said he was pretty sure it was actually an irrigation leak, dug on the spot and absolutely nailed it - one of the plastic irrigation pipe joints had never been glued, and was leaking like crazy whenever that sprinkler zone was on. He came back the next day with parts and fixed the pipe that had been leaking for 10+ years. Fantastic!

I opened almost a month of messages asking if they serviced North Raleigh. After four weeks of back and forth detailed messages related to a quote request, detailing my needs, patiently waiting while they were on vacation, trying to set a date via the Angie's List e-mail process the last response from them was "Sorry, at this time I can not take on any new work." I started communications with them the first week of April, 2017 and on May 2 they inform me they are not taking any new work. Why communicate with me for four weeks if you couldn't take on any new work?? Why list on Angie's List? Why not tell me a month ago that you can't take on new work?? Very unprofessional and all around rude. If this is how they treat prospective customers, I'm glad I didn't end up on the other end.

All work was done beautifully and our front now looks wonderful. Mike was a pleasure to work with and was always easy to contact. Thank you for a job VERY well done!!

I have been a client of Stonecreek Landscaping now for over twelve years and have been consistently pleased with the service. Mike is not only a talented landscaper, he is a trustworthy and reliable businessman. He does what he says and is prompt and efficient. His team installed and now maintains my yard and the hydrangeas in front of the house are the talk of the neighborhood when they are in bloom - many enjoy the fruits of his labor! I would encourage anyone considering the services of a professional landscaper to meet Mike and get an estimate - he'll be competitive and I vouch for his integrity and reliability.

I asked Stone Creek for an estimate after I felt another landscaper (who I had used for a previous project) tried to inflate the price of the work. Stone Creek quoted less for a larger project scope, though it turned out that some of it wasn't necessary once they dug into the ground. They adjusted on the fly and we settled on a lower price for the work they actually did. The system has worked perfectly, including when the hurricane passed through. I would definitely hire them again.

I haven't had my lawn completed yet, but am really impressed with Mike Hoskins' level of professionalism and conscientiousness in addressing my questions up until to now regarding installation of my lawn. I decided to go with Stone Creek because of his level of customer service, and responsiveness (email response within one business day) and Promptness of providing estimate when stated. I couldn't get that level of service from the other 3 vendors when I decided to do my lawn. We've had to push back installation of the sod due to the forecast of the weather. while I am disappointed that it couldn't be done as planned on the original date, I am grateful for his updates, and his reasons for the delay.

We bought a home that had no grass, but the entire property was paved and beautifully covered with various types of trees, shrubs, vines and plants. Coming from a large metropolitan city, I had no idea how to care for this gorgeous greenery. I called several local landscaping companies...most didn't return my calls and a few were no-shows. Mike from Stonecreek Landscaping showed up, provided a reasonable quote and said he could start immediately. Over the past year, Mike and his staff of professionals have taken such good care of my yard. He is very attentive to my questions and requests, and is always responsive to my emails and calls. I am a very picky client and I couldn't be more pleased with the service. I recently referred him to someone in my neighborhood and she couldn't be happier. 5 stars!

I can highly recommend Stone Creek Landscaping. My yard is lush and green, and beautiful. Gone are the bald spots and muddy messes in my backyard. Mike's recommendations were excellent and my plants and bushes are thriving and colorful. The work is done timely and with care. Stone Creek has always been professional and courteous at my home. My phone call and emails are always returned and in a timely fashion. The pricing is always appropriate with the service.

Our lawn was an eyesore for almost 10 years but is now spectacular, the kind of lawn that people notice and one where kids love to play. When I first met Mike, we spent considerable time discussing the advantages of different sods. We found him to be exceptionally knowledgeable and ready to support his beliefs with documentation. We selected a shade tolerant zeon zoysia and couldn't be happier. The lawn is like a plush carpet. Initially we had an issue with the sod but Mike and his crew worked with us and the supplier to correct the problem. We should add too, that the men he has working for him were all pleasant, very hard working and seemed to really enjoy their work. Our experience with Mike and Stone Creek Landscaping was such that we recommended him to our son, who had them sod his lawn this past summer. He is also very happy with his experience and the results. We consider ourselves to be fortunate to have found a landscaper who knows his business, communicates with his customers, and delivers precisely what he promises.

We were very pleased with the install both times. They scalped the grass two weeks in advance of the install, and applied Round Up. Each install took one day. The sod was delivered early in the morning on pallets. The workers tore up and removed the old grass, tree roots, etc, and regraded the yard. They applied lime to the bare soil, and installed the sod. An application of fertilizer and rolling out the sod to fit the edges together completed the process. We were told to water twice a day for two weeks. The sod quickly established itself. The sod they delivered for the back yard was not the quality of the front yard, but Mike assured us that it would be fine, and to give it two months. A couple of squares were still not satisfactory at that time and he replaced them. The sod did indeed fill in as promised.

Sod is beautiful. Nike and team were punctual and work was completed with quality. He was responsive to questions about lawn care after the fact. I highly recommend!

The sod took beautifully and stayed that way all summer long. Stone Creek has been doing a fabulous job with the maintenance, my yard always looks great. The yard is weed free with perfect edging around all flower beds. I wish I had hired them a long time ago to save me a lot of time and energy from doing it myself. In addition, I had been battling crab grass in my backyard and losing badly. The backyard was 50% crabgrass and I had tried everything and nothing worked to rid my lawn of it. After Mike took over it was all gone in a week and has not returned. His staff is very professional and thorough. I highly recommend Stone Creek Landscaping.

This is the first review I have ever written. Positive or negative. That says how strongly I feel here. We had a horrible experience with Mike. I had used the same landscape company for 15 years without any problem. Unfortunately the owner retired and I had to find a new one. I chose Mike because of all the positive reviews. Even though Mike?s monthly charge was 25% more than I?d been paying, I certainly expected at least the good service and good results as I had been getting for 15 years. Unfortunately, I ignored the negative reviews. Be sure to read them. Different circumstances, but they duplicate our experience. I hadn?t wanted to go into any detail here, as I don?t want to waste any of my time on him. However, I am so incensed and if I can save anyone a bad experience with him, I will go into some detail. We have more examples but these few will give you an idea. SOD: We asked him to put in some sod in a small area. After a short time it was not looking good. We contacted him about it and he said that it would take? time.? He did not even come to look at it. Time did not make it any better. TWO OF HIS OWN WORKERS said it was installed improperly, and said Mike should be held responsible. When I told him of this he wrote that his workers had no right to say that and it was only for him to make that decision. He then said that it was my fault because it had not been watered every day. The day after it was put in (and watered thoroughly) I found that my 100? hose did not reach to it. I am a senior and yet I carried over 50 buckets of water to the area. The next day I bought a second hose, connected it to the first, and watered the sod every single day, even when our irrigation was on. When I told him that indeed, it had been watered every day, he said he didn?t think that was the truth. His implying that I was lying is despicable. He finally said he would replace it in the fall -- Which sounds as if he saw that it was his fault. We will not be home for the daily watering, nor do we want anything more to do with him, and so asked for a refund of the $150 payment for sod?sod we did not actually get. He wrote back, ?No refunds. Was installed correctly. ? ?No warranty. No refunds. Again, .NO REFUNDS!? (Don?t caps represent shouting at the recipient?) BORDER FENCE: I have some faux wrought iron fence pieces that join together for a border. I saw that it was randomly disconnected fallen down as if something had run into it in several places. I asked if he could ask his workers to please be more careful in the future. His only response was to ask how did I know that it was his workers that did the damage? Well, since no one else had been in that part of the yard since his workers started, and we do not have deer or bunny visitors, and the fence had remained intact for many years, I think we knew. A simple ?I?ll be sure to tell them. I?m sorry that happened.? would have been some semblance of a good customer service response. PRUNING: In the first pruning, a bush that had been planted to hide an unsightly utility box was cut back to bare sticks ? no leaves left. He refused to take any responsibility, even though the damage was obvious. This I felt was indeed his error. His answer? ?It will grow back in the spring.? After holding my ground on this one, he agreed to plant a laurel bush in front of the cut-back bush. This happened in the fall. All winter no bush was planted. Ugly box remained. After several inquiries he finally planted a very small one in the Spring. It died. His answer was to ask if I?d watered it. Not come look at it to see why that may have happened. COMMUNICATION: When I brought up several things discussed, but not done, he said he ?didn?t remember? them, and asked if I had emailed him about the matters. No, we had spoken by phone. He said the situation was my fault, because he forgets conversations, and that If I want him to remember what I ask about, I must email him. I have to solve HIS problem? Thus, rather than calling him, l I sent an email on a weekend day, as I was having surgery the next week and of course would not be emailing. He wrote a somewhat nasty email complaining that I had interrupted him when he was trying to have a quiet weekend with his son. Well, he didn?t have to read, nor answer it on that weekend. He interrupted it himself. Yet I was scolded for doing something he didn?t like. I have never had such unpleasant treatment from any service. We also got the same excuses as other reviewers: He forgot. It wasn?t his fault. It was our fault. Mother Nature?s fault. He accidently erased the message. He didn't remember being asked to do something. I expect that he will write to defend himself, make excuses, take no blame, but blame this all on me-- Which will prove my point. Read the negative reviews. If you want good and gracious customer service, you probably will not get it from him. We didn?t.

We had a major water drainage problem in our front yard and needed to re-sod with zosyia grass. I had contacted several landscape companies and Mike at Stone Creek Landscaping offered the best solution for our drainage issue not only that but he was prompt in returning all my calls and emails. He was available to meet with me within a day for the consult. I was very pleased with his professional crew. Mike kept me up to date leading up to the job starting and followed up with us a couple weeks after. I would highly recommend Stone Creek Landscaping! Thank you Mike for our beautiful yard!

Mike Hoskins came out and did our estimate. He was very thorough and made some great suggestions to fix our drainage problem as well as address some landscape issues we had with our new home. We were very pleased with the work his crew did to fix our problems. He also told us about his monthly maintenance which includes mowing, trimming, pruning, leaf blowing, fertilizing, weed control, and probably something else I'm leaving out, but for the price it was worth it. Our drainage, moving plants, adding plants and adding a layer of mulch on all our planting beds was $4,500. Our monthly maintenance is $250/month. We recently moved from Pinehurst and paid $153/month for just the fertilization and weed control. So for $100/mth more we got weekly mowing, etc, pruning and fall clean up. We thought it was a fair price! Mike is extremely responsive and we would definitely recommend his services!

Crew arrived on time and got to work cleaning out overgrown forsythia & unwanted small trees and shrubs from natural area. (Originally, I had just asked to have the forsythia removed, but when Mike arrived with his crew supervisor, they offered to remove all the unwanted trees & shrubs from the natural area.) Mike said the job wouldn't include mulching, but when they got through they had "fluffed up" the existing pinestraw and the area looked fine. Then the supervisor asked if they could move the truck to the driveway while working on the border near the garage. They moved the truck and got right to work removing the shrubs. Then they placed the Encore azaleas and the liriope and got my approval before planting them. When they finished, they were meticulous about cleaning up after themselves. Mike's crew was fast, efficient, and very professional. The crew supervisor even came to the door to let me know that my dog was in the street. (It turned out to be a neighbor's dog that roams the neighborhood, but it was nice of them to be concerned.) I had my tractor sprinkler going in the front yard & it turned over near a hilly area. The crew supervisor noticed and set it upright for me.
