It went very well. Arrived on time and worked in a very professional manner. Courteous and careful when doing the work. No mess at all.

Overall we are very satisfied with Mr Zuniga's team. We took our time inspecting the work on the fourth day and made a detailed lists of small items to be adjusted. Mr Zuniga was very nice about the detailed list I provided. He will come back to fix the few things we agreed on and to retouch where the carpet installers have created new problems. We appreciated the team to be on time and the time estimate was right on the dot.

I received a call last Friday from someone who clearly had much difficulty speaking english but I thought we understood one another. Unfortunately I was driving in traffic at the time of the call and I asked if it would be possible to call me back in 10 minutes when i knew I'd be able to talk and he agreed. It's Wednesday and I've received no call back. While this is pure speculation I suspect maybe my job was passed on to someone else (another company).

EXCELLENT experience. I would recommend Danny to anyone wanting to have their house painted properly, professionally and quickly. The team was always on time if not early every day they came to the house. Danny always was on site or checked with me via phone to confirm choices. He was methodical and paid attention to details I even forgot about during our initial consultation (like asking for low VOC paint). I cant tell you how happy I am with the results of this painting.

They did a good job. The owner, Daniel, was great to work with. He was always there. He was very patient with me when I was picking out colors. They did a very careful job. They pointed out some problems they were having with the walls. They kept trying to get it perfect.

Daniel documented a detailed estimate with all our requests upfront, and he and his crew followed it to the letter. He was prompt to make an estimate and arrived on time and finished the job as scheduled, even though we discovered a second layer of very difficult to remove wall paper in the foyer.

The price was good and reasonable. Their service was good.

I compared prices with 3 different companies and Southern Boys was the least expensive and that was even before the 10% Angie's list coupon! They did an awesome job. They were always on time or early. They did a great job taking down the wallpaper and also with the painting. I liked them so much that I asked him for a quote for another 2 rooms! You should look no further. These guys were trustworthy and overall great!

They painted my steep stairways on stilts, they were very talented. They were neat, and cleaned up after themselves. They did not spill a drop of paint on my new carpet!

Danny met us a couple of days after we called him to give an estimate on site and discuss when he could start job and how long the job would take. We felt his estimte was fair and he and his crew showed up as scheduled and finished on time. They did a great job of painting and took precautions not to get paint on counters appliances and floors. Danny even painted a couple of doors that were not on the original estimate as well as changed the paint color after we changed our minds at a reasonable price and still kept to the deadline. At end of job the crew cleaned up and remove all their debris and supplies and hauled it away. The job was done in a very professional manner.

I had originally painted the halls and stairwell with a deep peachy pink that simply did not work. I wanted to change the downstairs hall to red, to match the livingroom, and the upstairs hall and stairwell to a golden yellow. Both involved covering a deep color with another color - darker in the case of red, lighter in the case of the yellow. The bathroom was to be a faux sponge finish in shades of green. Daniel and his crew prepped the walls, patching and smoothing in several areas. While that dried, they removed the wallpaper and the existing popcorn ceiling. Doing so revealed that the ceiling was coming down, so they screwed it back up again, and taped/mudded the joints. The paint job went well and quickly. They had the yellow parts done with two coats the first day. The red required a primer coat, and they finished that and the first coat of red the first day also. In the bathroom, the ceiling repair was done, and the new popcorn finish sprayed. On the second day, they primed the bathroom walls and painted the base coat. They also did a test board for the faux finish. I did not like it, so they did another set (both tests were different applications on both sides of the board). I approved one of those. In the meantime, they finished the red paint downstairs. Overnight I realized that I did not like the faux finish at all - my color choice resulted in something that looked like camouflage Army uniforms. So when they returned to finish the bathroom, I changed the job - no faux finish. They pointed out where a yellowish stain was coming through the new popcorn. I had a hard time seeing it, even when they pointed it out. They sprayed primer over the ceiling and a coat of white paint. I feel that they should have primed it first, then they would not have had the problem to begin with. I don't believe they charged me more for this work, however, and in the end the bathroom looks very good. They borrowed my vacuum and did some cleanup in the upstairs hallway and in the bathroom before they left. They were quick, fairly neat, very quiet, and it is a very nice paint job. They were careful with taping etc., to keep the dark colored paints off my white trim and carpet. I see no errors or holidays, and no sign anymore of the hated pink. They did charge more than the original estimate because that estimate was for a smooth ceiling finish, not popcorn, and because of the necessary and unexpected ceiling repair.

Daniel and his helper arrived earlier than promised and went right to work. They first put down protective coverings to protect floors, etc. They patched an area of drywall around a newly installed tub surround, and did so without making a mess. While the mud dried they cut in and painted a hallway, deep stairwell, and ceiling. He did several layers of mud and sanding to get the wall even. Daniel is a true professional, very personable, and I would highly recommend his services.

I mistakenly hired another company initially to paint the exterior of my house. That other company was a disaster, so I asked them to leave mid-job, and I immediately called Mr. Zuniga. Within a couple of hours he arrived at my house, and worked with me to find a solution. The next day he and his crew powerwashed the entire house and then did all the work on the portions of the house that would have been impossible for me to paint myself. They were very helpful with advice and very flexible as I was deciding how much they should do. Their prep work was thorough, their painting was very precise and efficient, and they were very courteous. There were no messes anywhere (except where I was painting). :>) I am thrilled with the results, something I have rarely said in my ten years as a homeowner.

Emailed Southern boys, they contacted me couple days later. Looked at job and gave me and estimate on a Friday and arrived on time Monday. They were here on time and completed the job within 3/4 of a day. I highly recommend. Very professional, outstanding work.

I emailed Southern Boys Painting on a Saturday night, got a phone call back in 2 hrs and set up an estimate for Sunday. He did the work (kitchen painting) on MONDAY. He was polite, punctual and did a great job. No problems at all.

Daniel Zuniga was very detailed, professional, and provided great work. He came to give us an estimate and then was easy to work with to schedule a time to perform the work. He called to let us know that day he would be running a little late. He gave us expertise advice as to types of paint, and how many coats were needed, etc. We also had him paint an interior bathroom that he did the same day and got the paint needed - great customer service!

Project completed very promptly. The team was courteous and neat and went above and beyond. (They had to put 2 coats on the walls, but the estimate only called for one and they did not charge for the extra coat of paint.) Also, they were extremely prompt. I called to find out lead times, and they were able to fit the project in the very next day!

Daniel and his brother were very meticulous and efficient in their work. They were in my home for a week and they were as unobtrusive as possible given all the work they were doing. They do excellent work, and they made sure that I was satisfied with all of their work before they finished.
