They did such a fantastic job on the exterior of my home that when we needed some interior rooms / high ceiling hallways done later, we brought them back! They are a very professional team that does wonderful, high quality work. When I need something else painted in the future, I’m calling them for sure. After a week or so of no contact and no responses to emails I complained to Angie's list customer service. They promptly issued a refund since they couldn't contact to provider either

It was amazing!! I was so extremely happy with Daniel and his work and his team. First, his estimate was lower than the other 2 people I had talked with, and he seemed to know more about the work as well and have more expertise, so the choice was easy. Then, he consulted with me about which type of primer to use. I had no prior experience with interior painting and especially with hardwood walls and ceiling. This was November, 2014, and I am very sorry for not writing a review sooner (I had Mono for the entire year of 2015 and couldn't do much at all), so I don't remember all of the details, but I believe I had purchased water-based primer and that he advised oil-based so that it would cover the dark walls. I wanted to buy the primer and paint myself, so I exchanged the primer for oil-based. He primed the walls and then put on 2-3 coats of paint over the course of a couple of days. He very carefully painted (by hand) the divet-like spaces between each of the pieces of milled wood. Then the dark wood walls started to show through. He researched the solution and decided we should use alcohol-based primer. Without charging me any extra, he completely started over with alcohol-based primer and then redid the coats of paint, and the room was gorgeous, bright white, beautiful, completely perfect. I was so impressed with his ability and obvious pride in his work, his niceness, his focus, and the fact that he didn't even consider charging me extra. I plan to hire him to paint all of the rooms in my house, and I would very highly recommend him to everyone!!!!! THANK YOU, DANIEL!!!

These guys were awesome. Everything was great from the estimate to scheduling. They did the job in 1day with no evidence they were here except for nicely painted and sealed trim. The crew were professional at all times. Hard workers. I highly recommend Daniel and his team.

The provider came to give an estimate on the work which was to paint the interior of a 1400 sq. ft. house. He gave me an estimate of $2800. When I asked him if he would honor the angie's list deal of $1000 for a week's worth of painting, he said that he couldn't spare the men, which implied that if I paid full price he wouldn't have any problem.

From estimate process to clean-up, they did a terrific job. Punctual, kept us informed of progress, did high quality work, very professional crew. Would use them again with absolutely no reservations!

Danny is responsive and fairly priced for a professional service. I have used him for exterior pain and repair and interior repair and paint job on several occasion and I will continue to use him in the future. I cannot say enough about his Co and his services.

I actually had one large room and one small hallway so the square footage averaged out. The owner contacted me prior to our scheduled date to go over details. He showed up on time, looked at the job to confirm we were a go and got his crew set up and started. The two men that were here were polite and kept to their work. Everything went well - no paint drips or splotches where they didn't belong, they cleaned up well when they were finished. Very happy with my experience.

Southern Boys used a crew of four men and actually started the project one day earlier than anticipated. Daniel (owner) contacted me the day before and indicated that his crew was slightly ahead of schedule and asked if he could start the project one day early. That worked for us, so we agreed. They arrived as advertised, were very thorough in their pre-painting preparation and quickly got the job underway. They worked a full afternoon the first day and a full second day before the weather turned in the wrong direction. Daniel notified me that he felt they should not continue that day or the next day until the threat of rain had ended. As it turned out, they started the job on Tuesday, worked Wednesday, had to skip Thursday, continued on Friday. While they wanted to finish the job on Saturday, the rain returned and they completed the job on Monday when the applied the second coat of paint on the flat surface areas. They did great work, were very polite and careful, and overall did an outstanding job. I highly recommend them for your painting needs and, in fact, we are now in the process of having them provide an estimate for painting the rest of the exterior of our home.

I absolutely recommend Southern Boys Painting! They received my highest praise,, for professionalism, expert painting, promises kept, thorough cleaning up, and being genuinely nice people. Daniel Zuniga, the owner, met me at my home within 24 hours of my call. Working from another Angie's list quote for the same job, I chose to work with him instead, and we made our agreement that day. Southern Boys was slightly more expensive than the other quote, but he was available to complete the job within 10 days, and that was my priority. He offered me advice on the type of paint to purchase, and I was able to use his contractor discount at my local Sherwin Williams store. They arrived on time, each of two days, and the owner came with his crew in the morning to ensure we all agreed on what was to be painted. His son, Daniel worked with another painter. There was always clear communication. They covered all my surfaces and floors to protect from drips, and helped me to move the heavier pieces of furniture into the center of the room. There was great value in this kindness, because my husband was out of town. (The other contractor had told me it was my responsibility to move all the furniture myself.). Both workers got straight to their work and remained steadfast all day. There was no joking around, no loud radios, just painting. How refreshing! The owner came twice each day to check on their progress. When they were done, they helped me move the furniture back, vacuumed and dusted afterwards. Daniel, jr., the owner's son, needs special mention here because his precision was outstanding. All free hand and NOT ONE DRIP! Incredible!

The provider arrived on time, communicated well and worked carefully. IN times past we have experienced painters who were not cautious with splashed paint, scratches and the like. This provider was very conscious of their work and did a great job. It is key to fully define the size of the room and paint preferences and instructions - as if communicated properly - this provider works efficiently and professionally.

Painters arrived on time, which was a good start to the project. We have never hired anyone to paint (always painted ourselves) so we weren't sure what to expect. They took the first half of the day to tape and cover the floors. We paid them extra to finish the half bathroom, which was totally worth it. They did a great job and cleaned up well. We will definitely look to hire them again!

We had a wonderful experience with Southern Boys Painting. They arrived right on time, did a great job prepping the walls for painting (filling holes, fixing corners, and sanding), and did a very careful job painting. They used drop cloths everywhere, took off their shoes, and even vacuumed before they left. They gave us the lowest quote for the job and probably did the best work. We will definitely use their services again. Thanks for a job well-done!

It was a very good experience. They were polite, prompt, clean and great job. They explain things very well to us. They were very conscientious and did the work right. The clean up was excellent.

This was the second time that I used them. It took them a week and a half and probably four to six men came out to do that. Their quality was excellent and they were very responsive to my phone call to be here; I called and told them what I needed. We walked through everything I wanted. I checked to see if I had extra paint, and I didn't, so they had to go and get all new paint for me. He was here on a Monday and had two men here on Monday afternoon to start with the pressure wash and so forth. They got everything done by Friday. They did excellent work. His crew was very quiet, friendly, and not intrusive.

Daniel and his associates are prompt, reliable, professional, thorough, careful and courteous. Their quality standards are unlike any painters we've ever worked with before. They prepared carefully to protect our belongings and other finishes. They kept a tidy workspace. They work hard and stay focused so the disruption is minimized. I could go on and on. We'd have them move in like Elton on Murphy Brown.

Daniel and his team are excellent in every way. First off, the quote. Daniel took the longest of all three vendors we contacted with regard to the quote. He thouroughly inspected the exterior to take into account all of the rotted trim in order to give us the most accurate estimate possible. He did the same for the interior, advising us that there were opportunities for him to scale back some of the interior painting (touch-ups in some roomes in lieu of full-on painting) but he quoted the full-painting amount and said it might go down a bit from there if he was able to successfully touch up several rooms which had minimal damage. His estimate was the lowest, which made me nervous that they might be the kind to find every excuse to add-on once they land the job but that was not the case. Daniel's estimate was spot-on to what he had told us so we were able to stay on budget. Our home had SEVERE damage to several room's walls and trim due to our two dogs who had literrally chewed holes in the wall and had taken chunks out of the trim in some places. Daniel's team was able to fix everything by filling the small holes or replacing trim for larger issues. The final result was excellent. We listed our house less than a week from Daniel's team's work and had received an offer within days. I can't help but wonder if the Southern Boys magic had something to do with that. I recommend this team highly!

Their quote was almost twice as high as the painters we chose to do the work.

I was very satisfied with the results. The power washing before painting was carried out carefully, with thorough rinsing of the of all the washed areas and shrubs below. The exterior painting was one coat, (except for two coats in a couple of small places) and was carefully hand brushed, using super white exterior satin trim Super Paint from Sherwin Williams, which I had used before with good results. The caulking around windows and doors was repaired as needed before painting. One piece of wooden shingle trim was replaced, and Bondo quick-setting polyester plastic was used to repair a soft spot on one of the front door trim pillars. The previous paint was 5 years old. Southern boys did a superior job at a competitive price. I had used them before in August, 2010 for interior painting, and was impressed by the thorough and meticulous job they did then. Daniel Zuniga, the owner, provided a detailed quote for the job beforehand, and I supplemented that with a two page owner's checklist further detailing all of the job. Southern boys did all of the painting just as we had agreed. They used drop clothes to protect my deck, a rear patio, and my front porch from any unexpected paint drips. Cleanup after painting was thorough. They left a partial gallon of exterior paint for me as I had requested. I provided the interior paint and the paint for the flashing, which I already had. I was present during the entire job and each day I reviewed the job with Daniel if there were any questions. He was flexible and easy to work with..

They did an excellent job! They were prompt and clean. They got their job done in the stated amount of time, with the least destruction to our household. I might use them again, because of their cleverness, attitude and promptness. The quality of their work was excellent. My room looks wonderful, and the paint was great. There was no cracking or peeling.
