Painters arrived on time, covered up cabinetry and used dropcloths for flooring, taped off some areas, primed and painted walls of new construction, removed wallpaper, smoothed and primed and painted walls in bathroom, painted trim and ceiling in all spaces, and painted walls and railing for large stairwell. The men were professional and polite at all times during the 2 days that it took, then cleaned up everything after they finished. The owner came out to inspect everything after it was done. Everything looks lovely. I will definitely use them again

My daughter (who is not an Angie's List member) had used Southern Boys Painting for the interior of her home (vaulted ceilings, etc.) and was very, very happy with the outcome. Daniel was very responsive from the beginning (giving the estimate) throughout the whole process, and to the end. Of the estimates I received, Daniel's was the best and lowest. The exterior of the house had not been painted for many years. Fortunately, the weather was good and he was able to start the job right away. The power washing of the driveway and walkway was impressive. It looked great! The power washing of the house revealed additional trouble spots and as we were unable financially to replace all the siding at this time that needed replacing, Daniel was very willing to work with us and replaced the worst areas and patched as necessary while givng us a realistic understanding of what would need to be done sometime in the future. The whole process went extremely well including the clean-up. Daniel and his workmen are very professional and very good at what they do. The house looks excellent! I highly recommend Southern Boys Painting and will certainly be calling Daniel again for future work.

Went very well, quality work, they know what they are doing and take the time to do it right. Prep/cleanup all very good. Took the time to do the research to accurately match the ceiling paint since the left overs had dried up, we can not tell there was ever damage there. Highly recommend. Will use their services again. .I had no problems with them. The work was done quickly and was done very well. The price was reasonable for the work that was done and the quality of the work. The quality of the work was superb. There was several times when I had to be away so they came in the morning and locked up when they left in the evening.

They did a beautiful job and worked with me until the colors were just right.

.They were phenomenal! They were very professional. I could not believe how cheap they were. It was the best work I have seen. Their demeanor, their manners and their respect for your home was great. They were in and out quickly. They cleaned up the mess when they were finished. They are they only painters I know that used dish soap to take the wallpaper off. I will use them again, possibly this summer. I would recommend them to family and friends.

The process went very well. We had obtained numerous quotes from contractors on Angies List and Daniel came in 2nd to lowest but provided the largest scope of work. They started on the day they said they would which was only a week out from the estimate. The main point of contact, Daniel was onsite everyday and made sure he updated us daily with progress and items remaining. Daniel helped us chose a new color and paint type taking into consideration our environemental concerns with fading and weather. We went with a high grade Sherwin Williams paint, Duration in Satin. When the job was finished we, including Daniel, were concerned with the flashing appearance of the finish of the paint. Daniel immeidately called his contact and Sherwin Williams and they arrived within a few hours to view the issue. Sherwin Willaims reps continued to come out and check the appearance of the house and did explain that this result had occurred before with other homes. Daniel helped us work with Sherwin Williams who eventually provided the materials to put another coat of their top-of-the-line paint on the house. Daniel did not charge us for the labor on the second coat as his company guarentees satisfaction. My husband and I were shocked at how eager Daniel and Sherwin Williams were to help make us happy - no questions asked. I would set my standard for contractors by the level of work Daniel provided for us.

"Daniel" of Southern Boys Painting came promptly as scheduled to provide an estimate cost for the job. He was friendly, courteous and professional. The estimate was more than fair and slightly less than I had anticipated. The job began as scheduled with no delays. The work went off without any problems and to my surprise was completed in only two days: (one for washing and one for the remainder of the work). I had thought that the work would take at least several days but these men were no-nonsense workers who clearly knew what they were doing. I am completely satisfied in all respects and will hire this firm for any future painting needs.

I got an estimate from Daniel which seemed reasonable. I had Southern Boys start a few days later on replacing the masonite and repairing the rotted wood. As the work progressed I decided to have more of the masonite replaced and Daniel and I agreed on the price. At the beginning I had also not planned on having the entire house painted but after they started work I decided to have them paint the entire house. Daniel changed his schedule to keep working on my house. They showed up on time and were very courteous and quiet while they worked. I would highly recommend Southern Boys.

We had hired two young men to do some painting for us, but, they did less than satisfactory. We were two days away from showing our house for sale, and were in desperate need for a professional painter to redo all the mess ups. Although, Daniel (Southern Boys Painting) was booked, he sympathized with our desperation, and worked it out so that Alandro, Gabrielle and their young assistant Eddie could help us out. Not only did they do an excellent and meticulous job, they even took time to point out that we had a problem with rotting wood on the side of our home, and when asked, repaired and painted for us. I would highly recommend Southern Boys. In addition to their rates being competitive, they were expeditious, accomodating, but professional in demeanor and quality of service. I would highly recommend them to my family and friends, and to anyone else who could use their services.

Great experience. Very professional, polite, & conscientious. Our walls and ceilings look brand new. Daniel helped match the color we wanted. Added an additional room to paint at the last minute & job still done in the estimated time. All surfaces covered prior to painting & drywall patching and careful cleanup throughout. We already plan to have Southern Boys restain our deck. Absolutely first rate!

Our experience with Southern Boys Painting was a delight from start to finish. The estimate was the lowest we received, the job was begun the day after we commissioned it, and finished very shortly afterwards. The work area was always neat and tidy, and the workers were on time to the minute they said they would be there. We are using them again to do the front of our house in a few weeks.

I talked to three companies regarding my exterior paint job, including Southern Boys Painting. Southern Boys came in with the best pricing and Daniel was very prompt and professional during the estimate process. He communicated well before showing up (we had many weather delays) and his crew were equally professional and considerate of my property. They did a fantastic job and I am very pleased with the outcome. They started with a powerwash of the exterior and then examined the fascia and replaced rotted wood where necessary. With the Angie's List 10% coupon I feel I really got a good deal. My next project includes interior paint and I will definitely be calling Daniel again for an estimate.

Daniel was very punctual and responsive (estimate, questions we had). He came a few times to discuss the paint job with us. His crew was very professional, did their work without any distraction or fuss. They completed the job on time. They were very careful to cover everything (floors, etc) up and took pride in their work. They also worked around our schedule. We had 10 estimates and eventually selected Southern Boys and we're glad we did.

I could not ask for a better overall experience. It took a little longer than we first thought, but much of that was due to finding repairs that needed to be made and adding that to the overall job. Daniel and his crew members were punctual, respectful, professional and very easy to work with. They were hardworking with no wasted time, excellent in detail, and cleaned up after themselves very well. Daniel went out of his way to satisfy us in every way. Cost was reasonable and appropriate given the work we outlined and the repairs to exterior were also moderate in cost - something for which I was grateful. We will use Southern Boys Painting in the future without hesitation and with confidence in a job that would exceed expectation.

The job was done to my complete satisfaction, on time, and as specified. The painters arrived promptly on the start date we had agreed on. They altered their schedule slightly to paint each day from 9am to 6pm, which worked better for us. 3 men worked for 5 days to complete the job. I was there during the whole time, and they didn't mind when I asked questions. Communication was not a problem. Cracks and blemish repair and wall prep and sanding were done meticulously. All floors, entryways, light fixtures, and furniture were covered with plastic. I had removed all pictures and decorative items from every room before painting began. Wood finished cabinets, baseboards and trim were carefully taped so that painted edges were sharp, and no paint got on the wood finish. All switch and outlet fixtures were removed before painting and replaced afterwards. I came to appreciate that proper prep work takes almost half of the time on the job. They used high quality Scotch blue masking tape which comes off cleanly without leaving a residue. They removed all tarps and plastic after the job was done, and vacumed to remove dust from sanding. My wife and I did some extra dust cleanup afterwards, which is normal. Overall it was a very clean and careful job. I had specified Sherwin Williams paint which was the last paint used, which had held up very well. The color was the mainly the same as most of the the old wall colors. Daniel Zuniega (the head of the company) helped fine tune the paint selection to get the best results. He was very knowledgeable. He suggested SW Harmony for the flat wall paint, which is a low VOC latex (very low odor.) He didn't charge an extra for this, though it's a premium paint. He patiently assisted me in getting a color match for several walls where we we had picked a new color. He suggested using the SW Duron Promar line of paint for the gloss trim because of better adhesion. Just as an example of their thoroughness, they replaced two cracked outlet covers and repaired around several electrical boxes in the wall to get the proper fit when the covers were put on. The boxes had been loosely installed when the house was originally built.

They were on Angie's List and that was the reason we called them out. No real reason we did not use them, we just decided to wait another year to paint our house. While I don't remember their exact quote, I remember they were one of the lower priced painters. If that is important to you, you should consider them. They were on time.

I have hired them at least 3 or 4 times for various jobs. They are by far the best painters I have ever hired. Their work is phonomenal, they are fast, match the paint perfectly and I have recommended them to others. They always arrive early. The owner is always involved before, during and after the work is done. I would give them my highest recommendation.

After having taken off the wallpaper and popcorn ceiling from my kitchen, I decided that I had enough and that someone who knew what he was doing should finish the job. Daniel and his crew washed, patched, and sanded the walls, patched and sanded the ceiling, then painted the walls and ceiling. Everything looked good but there were a few spots that needed a bit more attention due to the incredible humidity on the day they painted. Well Daniel called the next day ? even before I thought to call him about it ? to see if I was satisfied with the work performed. When I mentioned the few issues, he arranged to come back the next day and very quickly he fixed everything. We plan to have more painting done throughout the house and we will be calling Daniel back to do the rest of the house. We're very happy with his work.

Arrived at 8 AM to powerwash deck. Removed chairs, flower boxes, glass table and bird bath. Powerwashed. Two men started to restain the deck railing. Finished the entire job aroung 4:30 PM. The whole area looked brand new. Daniel is to be complimented. This is the second job that he's done for me. I would not hesitate to use his services again.

His estimate was very reasonable and he and his crew cleaned up everything spotlessly. Would (and have) defeinitely recommend him ! A++++

I found Southern Boys via Angie's List and called Daniel in the morning. He answered my call (!) and was able to meet me that afternoon for an estimate. Polite and punctual, I liked Daniel from the first meeting and we discussed the tasks and compensation. His team started the next morning. They repaired numerous drywall cracks and nail pops on both floors of my home being careful to lay drop cloths and to clean up after themselves. I found the quality of workmanship to be very acceptable and was pleased at the results. I will use Southern Boys Painting again.

Overall it went very well, Daniel and team are very punctual and they did a excellent job of painting the house to my satisfaction. His company seemed a bit pricey compared to other quotes, but the quality seemed well worth it. I highly recommend Daniel and his company.

Extremely professional!! They came out and did a thorough estimate first. They were very professional, courteous, and punctual. We checked 3 different companies and Southern Boys were by far the most professional and cost effective. They were here painting 2 1/2 days and did almost all of our house (we had already done a few rooms). During that entire time they were constantly keeping us informed of progress. They remained professional the entire time and the work they performed was outstanding. They did a wonderful job on both the walls and the trim. The trim was above and beyond our expectations. The painting looked wonderful and they finished ahead of schedule. We would highly recommend Southern Boys Painting for any job and will definitely use them in the future.

His name was Daniel and he did a great job. He did a complete estimate on the appropriate day at the appropriate time. The work was completed on time and it was excellent. The communication with Daniel was great and I would hire him again. I had another painter paint the house and he was horrible. It was like night and day. The price was fair. I only had one other estimate done.
