Very Profesional and believable. Was very neat in work. Check all parts to make sure they worked properly. Suggested a cleaning schedule of 2-3 years based on the way that we burn wood and the condition of stove after 2 winters.

On Angie's List recommendation I called them. They came on-time and did the work. They cleaned up after they were done. They were very good.

Outstanding company. Carl was right on time and inspected the three chimneys in our new house. We thought that they were going to need a cleaning since the house is about 40 years old. After inspecting all three chimneys, Carl told told us that they did not need to be cleaned. This saved us a substantial amount of money and I want to thank Carl for his honest opinion and service. I highly recommend him.

I wanted to have the chimney and fireplace of my recently purchased home inspected and cleaned (if necessary) because I was unsure how well it had been maintained by the previous owner. They were pretty busy when I called during the holiday season, but I was able to book an appointment for just after Christmas. Carl arrived on time and was friendly and professional. He inspected the chimney and fireplace and determined that it was in good condition and that a cleaning wasn't necessary at this time. He also educated me about what maintenance was likely to be needed in the future, what safety issues to watch for, how to most efficiently use my fireplace, and (since I don't plan to use it much) how to determine in the future when the chimney needs to be swept. He also left a free sample bottle of carpet cleaner (he has a floor cleaning business, too). I definitely plan to use Chimney Keepers again in the future.

Carl was great to talk with on the phone - very energetic guy! There was a small communication error, but I think it's because I scheduled this out over a week ahead and at a home I'm not living in, so I needed to let Carl know where a key would be left for him. He was there when he said he would be and called ahead, I just didn't need the call ahead. When I stopped by the house after he was there, other than the chimney being clean, I couldn't even tell they'd been there. And he said the damper was fine - even though the home inspector said it may need replaced and I wasn't there - Carl didn't install one just because he had an opportunity to install one and charge me for it - much appreciated!

The guy who came was nice and he did a good quality job. I had no idea how much something like this would cost but somehow I expected it to be a bit more expensive. So when he told me the price I was surprised.

We called Carl to clean a chimney in our newly purchased house and to install a chimney cap. Upon inspecting the chimney, he said it hadn't been used and didn't need to be cleaned, so we saved some money. He installed the chimney cap for $150, which was his estimate. While up on the roof, he told us the chimney had some water damage and wasn't being protected. We had had a leak repaired in the attic when we moved in, and he said that the leak could be caused by bad chimney waterproofing. Although at first a bit skeptical, Carl's professionalism convinced us that we needed to have the waterproofing completed. He returned a week later and power washed the chimney and applied the waterproofing. It cost $300, which was his estimate.

Professional service; cheaper than advertised because he said our chimney wasn't very dirty; ordered damper for us and assured us we can install it ourselves, thus saving us extra labor costs.

CARL AND ASSISTANT TOOK THEIR TIME TO GET IT JUST RIGHT, HE MEASURED THINGS SEVERAL TIMES TO MAKE SURE. THEY ALSO LISTENED TO ALL OF OUR CONCERNS. HE IS GREAT TO WORK WITH AND WILL USE HIM AGAIN IN THE FUTURE.

Carl communicated promptly when he could come, was there on time, and did a great job both cleaning and repairing the fireplace. We'd definitely use him again.

THEY LOOKED AND ACTED VERY PROFESSIONAL. THEY DID THE JOB VERY FAST AND IT WAS EFFICIENT. THE GUYS WERE ON TIME. THE JOB WAS DONE RIGHT. IT LOOKS GREAT.

Carl has been our "Chimney guy" since the mid 90's coming annually to clean the the soot from a well-used woodburning stove. In this 10 years, he's also done some minor repairs on the roof and extended our outside flue which reduced downdrafts. He also installed gas logs in a rental home. All work done to our satisfaction. Never missed his appointment time. He sends newsletters periodically. We trust him to be in the house without us being there. And value his honesty and never having to clean up after he's done his job. I can't tell if his price is competitive with other vendors, but we are satisfied that the job he does is of good value to us for what we pay.
