This is the third or fourth time I've used Carolina Exteriors for my housing needs and I'm just as satisfied with this job as I was with the previous jobs. For this particular job, Carolina Exteriors removed my 1996 roof and replaced it with a new 50-year roof. The highlights of my experience: Quality of work - This company uses no shortcuts and I appreciate that. I've learned over the years that you get what you pay for and while Carolina Exteriors isn't the cheapest option, the work they do is done right the first time and you won't have to revisit it later. That is important to me considering the cheapest option done twice is no longer the cheapest option. Communication - From start to finish I was informed when my project start date was, when materials would arrive and when my project was expected to be complete. Cleanliness - The yard, deck, driveway etc. was as clean when they left as it was when they arrived. If you've had a roof replaced, you know there are hundreds or thousands of roofing nails holding the shingles on. They ran a magnetized sweeper in the yard and everywhere else to pickup the majority of them. No complaints. Timing/Scheduling - Fortunately, I was able to get this project completed fairly quickly. The timing worked for my schedule and roof replacement doesn't take too long. That said - I have waited weeks for Carolina Exteriors to do siding because they have skills that are in demand and work is done the right way, the first time. In summary, I am pleased with my new roof and Carolina Exteriors has been and will continue to be my go-to company for exterior house projects.

On time and professional. Reviewed any issues prior to a repair. Open to our ideas. Once work was completed, a rep from Hardie reviewed the wok and signed off on the Carolina Exteriors work completed !

We found Carolina Exteriors to be an excellent company to do business with. It started with the thorough contracting process where Wesley listened to what we wanted, helped educate and guide us to make good decisions that would meet our goals and budget and ensured everything was written in the contract so there would be no misunderstandings. This virtually eliminated headaches and misunderstandings later in the process and ensured we were happy at the end of the job. During the construction phase, every person and crew that worked on the job did excellent work, was very professional and cleaned up each and every day at the end of the day. Roberto in particular went out of his way to make sure we understood the timeline and progress and answered any and all questions we had about the work being done. From beginning to end when problems did arise, although there were very few, Carolina Exteriors and the folks working on their behalf made sure the problem was resolved in a satisfactory way. The real test was when a small issue came up after job completion where the Carolina Exteriors guys resolved the problem with the same sense of urgency as they did during construction. Construction can be such a nightmare for the homeowner and this experience from beginning to end was quite the opposite. I have recommended Carolina Exteriors to a friend already and would definitely use them again if the opportunity arises.

We had talked to a number of contractors over several months about the replacement of our front entry way that had rot at the base of the doorway. Clifton put together an estimate that was similar to others, but after meeting him and reading his company's reviews, we felt confident that Carolina Exteriors Plus was the right company for our project. And, we were right. The doorway looks great and it was well done from the installation to the painting. The project had some minor hiccups but between Clifton, Lewis, Gayle and the installment team, all issues were quickly and professionally resolved. The customer service was excellent. Clifton and his team are genuinely nice people and they will go out of their way to do whatever it takes to satisfy a customer.

It could not have gone any smoother. Everyone I dealt with, from the owner, to the office manager, to my project managers, and to the men who did the actual work, treated me with professionalism, courtesy, honesty and a general overall willingness for me to have the house I envisioned. I cannot say enough about the moral and ethical way this project was teated, as well as outstanding workmanship. Mr Lewis White, who oversaw my project was a delight to deal with. He was here every day to check on things (I had a broken arm and he even checked on me!), and did everything he could to help me bring my vision of my house to a reality, while making sure the workmanship was up to par. This guy's the real deal. I would highly recommend this company and would rehire them in a heatbeat for any future projects.

We loved the folks at Carolina Exteriors Plus. Wesley, who came out to give us the quote, was very knowledgeable and gave advice i felt i could trust. He answered my questions and also told me when i didn't need to replace things. It took about two months from the quote agreement to when work actually began. The contract was very professional and everything was spelled out as to what was included. Carolina Exteriors handled everything as we have three distinct phases including window replacement, siding replacement and exterior painting. The workers were efficient and always cleaned up the site well at the end of each day. We are extremely happy with the new look and I highly recommend this company. I will definitely be calling on them again to replace the rest of the windows and when it's time to get a new roof.

From the beginning of the project the folks at Carolina Exteriors Plus were professional, courteous, and efficient with their time. There was a lot of discussion and up-front planning involved to make sure all parties had a clear understanding of the work to be performed. This was a great help throughout the project. The siding crew worked efficiently to remove old cedar siding and install new James Hardie siding. After the siding was installed the painting crew arrived as scheduled and did a great job painting the siding and all of the trim. After some review we decided that some areas that were painted the trim color should be painted the same as the siding the crew leader returned and quickly painted these areas as we requested. He was so personable and helpful and overall was a pleasure to work with. There were some details that we felt could have been handled better and communicated that to our project manager, Jeff, who was always very responsive and communicative. We did run into some electrical issues after the outside light fixtures were reinstalled that we, the homeowners, resolved. We believe the electrical work should have been performed by a licensed electrician which would have prevented the problems we had. Overall, we're happy with the end result though there were some details that we felt could have been done better. Jeff the sub-contractors worked with us to negotiate an agreeable outcome so, again, we're happy. We would have no problem recommending Carolina Exteriors Plus but would also recommend that clients take extra care in expressing what they expect in the end product.

Since they installed the larger gutters we have not had ANY rain collect on our porch floor -- and we have had a very wet several weeks!!

Wes showed up on our scheduled time for the consultation and quote. He was very thorough in his recommendations and how the work would go. We scheduled a specific time for the work to be done, and they held to that timeline. The job was done completely, and they were cleaned up and done in a very quick fashion. Their pricing was competitive and there were no surprises with the final invoice. I would absolutely recommend them to anyone looking for exterior work, and I plan on using them for any other exterior house needs that I have.

Entire project went exceedingly well from start to finish. This is a well run operation. Communication with office and onsite personal was great. Were never left wondering what was going to happen or when. Work crews was just fantastic, showing up on time and maintained a clean and safe work site. My initial contact with Carolina Exteriors Plus was in the spring. I had Clifton come out and prepare a bid for the project. The bid was not the lowest but I selected Carolina Exteriors based upon my connection to Clifton and to the professionalism that he showed in discussing the project and preparing the bid. I was also impressed with reviews on this site and with the fact that Carolina Exteriors Plus is a Hardie certified installer. It took me a long time to prepare for the work and so we did not place the contract until late summer. Clifton was patient while I worked through all of my issues. Once we contracted for the work, they first came and did the roof on our detached garage. They finished that in about a day and a half. That crew was neat and very tidy. They did not leave the tire puncturing roofing nails all over the place like I have seen on some other job sites! The roof looks great and we are very pleased. It was a few weeks later when they came in to begin the siding project. We have a 4200 sq ft home and so it was a large project. It took 7-8 days for the project to be completed (we did have a rainy day or two as well so the project lasted about 2 weeks). The crews were on time and really did a nice job. I was pleased that they cleaned up before leaving each day. I was kept abreast of the details by the job foreman, Lewis. He notified me via email of the need for change orders to repair some water damage and old termite damage that we had and would include photos of the damaged areas. They made all needed repairs and the up charges were reasonable. Communication was good throughout the process. My comments and concerns during the project were addressed promptly. I only have one constructive criticism. I had to bid out and contract separately with the electrician to pull the exterior lighting, electric meter, cable lines, etc off of the house and to re-install them on completion of the siding. I would have preferred that Carolina Exteriors sub-contract that work. They did coordinate scheduling with the electrician and that was good. This would not prevent me from recommending or using Carolina Exteriors Plus on another project but I would have preferred to have them arrange that service. Overall, we had a very good experience with Carolina Exteriors Plus and I would heartily recommend them!

Their on-site cleanup leaves much to be desired. The second time we used Carolina Exteriors, they left paint spots on the wood floors of our house. Extra trim boards were left in the yard. The last time we used them, they again left debris from the job, including a 12' plank which we had to dispose of. Additionally, backyard items were left scattered all over, and a rose bush was trampled and destroyed. Additionally, some rotten wood adjacent to their work was ignored - I would have hoped for a proactive contractor who wouldn't ignore rotten boards directly next to the ones they were replacing. Their prices used to be the best around but they have risen in the last few years, and we will be using other contractors for future work.

Carolina Exteriors did a great job on replacing the siding and trim. Clifton and Jeff were great to work with. In completing the estimate, Clifton included detail items that other companies did not cover... painting window trim and railing, replacing gutters, refinishing doors... items that made the house look complete. The crews did a great job and very courteous. I would definitely use them again and recommend them.

It was a very good experience! Office manager Gayle was very prompt, courteous and efficient with scheduling, providing information and invoicing. Clifton came out to look a the scope of the work and took as much time as we needed to answer questions and help inspect for any additional areas of rotted wood that needed attention. There was no pressure to add-on anything. Clifton was very pleasant, knowledgeable and he provided a detailed, comprehensive proposal/estimate on the evening of the same day he came out meet with us. The crew showed up promptly on the scheduled start date and worked hard all day. Project Manager Clifton did an excellent job and he provided very good communication. We needed to add one item to the project, which was done easily through Lewis and Gayle with a change order. All debris was hauled off and our driveway was swept for nails. The project was originally estimated to take 3-5 days, but they sent two crews and completed it all in a day-and-a-half. Before final payment, Lewis scheduled a time to walk around the house with us to make sure everything was done to our satisfaction. We were very pleased with the complete, "turn-key" project. We definitely would use Carolina Exteriors again, and we highly recommend them.

I didn't have time to remove all the window covering and blinds before they arrived. The men were great- they said no problem and carefully removed all the blinds and hardware. I had the same crew work at my home a few years ago when I had some of the siding replaced. Knowing the company has long term stable employees is reassuring to me. Here was the most unbelievable surprise. In 2013 I had a large picture window and 2 smaller side windows replaced in the front of my house. I never noticed that the grids did not match up perfectly in all three windows but when Clifton ( the owner) came to measure all the windows for replacement he did. He ordered a brand new picture window and replaced the large front window - at no cost to me- so the grids are in a perfectly straight line across all 3 windows! I actually had to go outside and look carefully at the window to see why Clifton wanted it replaced. There was no charge for the window or for the labor to install the window. This is the kind of company you want to do business with. They care about every detail of the project.

From start to finish Carolina Exteriors Plus was a pleaseure to work with. Clifton and his crew was very professional and curdious. They replaced all the old siding and trim on our house with new ColorPlus siding and trim from James Hardie. The project was a huge success and we couldn't be happier with the outcome. I would highly recommend Carolina Exteriors Plus to anyone looking to have work done on their home!

Everything went very well. The project turned out beautiful and the workers were very professional. We love how it turned out!

Everything went extremely well. They came when they said they would and started work immediately. They estimated that it would take two weeks and it did. We had some rain so the men came on Saturday to make up the day. I chose not to get the prepainted hardie plank because you are limited to certain colors so the entire house had to be painted also. They used the paint and color I requested and did a super job. There were some minor things that had to be touched up and a light fixture that had to be adjusted but they came right out and did the work. I had no problem with this company at all. They were polite and very hard working. I would certainly recommend them. I had two other estimates but I had met with Clifton a year or two ago and decided to stay with him. I also think his price was a bit more reasonable.

Wesley's quote is the lowest. But I am not nervous about their service and quality. Since I read Angie's list review and also got some information from Fonville Morisey's realtors. I am glad that I made a good choice. The project team is lead by Jorge. They finished on time. And the workers really have good manners. Even though there are some small problems, they came back to fix everything. I am very happy with what I got.

This was the BEST service provider experience my husband and I have ever had! Start to finish, they exceeded my expectations and we could have not asked for more. This team completely re-did the outside of our house (roof, siding, trim, gutters, shutters, deck, etc.) and everything was top notch. Their initial estimate was thorough, and with the exception of a few "extras" we decided to add on during the process, it did not change. The owner (Wesley), the project manager (Lewis) and the office manager (Gayle) were all great to work with and kept us up to date throughout the job. The crews that completed the work were very professional, courteous, and some of the hardest workers I've ever seen. Our house looks amazing! Too bad they only focus on exterior work or I would immediately hire them to redo the interior of our house. I strongly recommend Carolina Exteriors Plus to anyone planning to have any work done to the outside of their house.
