Apex Lock and Key Locksmith

My brother just bought a new house in Cary, NC and he was looking for a highly rated locksmith; I gave him a few recommendations based on ratings and reviews in Angie's List. He reached out to Apex Lock and Key and had all the locks re-keyed on the house. He said they were very responsive, did a great job, and he's very happy with the work.

The service was fine. They were very prompt and the work was as advertised. They did the work and there were no delays.

It went very well. They were reliable, prompt, and knew what they were doing. It was a Friday afternoon but it was not after five o’ clock. They were the third company that I called and they were the ones that came out that afternoon.

I do not remember the cost of the service but it was cheap. I remember that I called them because I thought that I needed to have the lock completely replaced. I even had a lock ready for them but they said that it would be way cheaper for me to just have it re-keyed rather than replaced completely and have it taken out off the door and have a new one installed. So, they went ahead and did that instead and it was cheaper because they told me that it would be. I have not had any issue with the lock since the service was completed. I would definitely recommend them.

The work went very well and the guy who came was very efficient. He knew exactly what he was doing and was professional and knowledgeable. He also was a good conversationalist who could actually talk. He was great.

Prompt and very good service. I initially thought the cost was just a bit on the high side for a drive out and 2 minutes of work, but with the response time, it was close enough to accept. Turns out my locks were not cooperative at all and the technician ended up disassembling a matching knob to make a key. I didn't realize that was possible, but so glad it is - much better outcome than drilling and the re-key hassle. Thanks for the tenacity to get me back inside.

Very good experience. This is the first time I have used a locksmith for a service call of this type. I called mid day and spoke to John (owner?) who was very courteous and clear when he explained pricing structure. He stated that they could do the work later the same day or at a future time frame. I opted for the same day service. Luke showed up at my home in the afternoon. We had established a 1 hour window for arrival. He called at the start of the hour to let me know his expected arrival time and he showed up right on time as stated. He was very courteous and went right to work. I had several questions about the process and the locksmith trade in general and he answered everything to my satisfaction. Overall I was pleased and the re keyed locks all seem to be working well as I tested them this afternoon. I know some folks would say "Just take them out yourself and take them to the locksmith or hardware store" but I have to say that it took Luke approx 2 hours to do the work and he knows exactly what he is doing. I'm a big fan of do-it-yourself but I don't think this is something that the avg homeowner could tackle successfully and have a quality outcome. I'm glad I went with the professionals on this job. Also, as I stated, I am very happy with the work, but I rated the company a 'B' on pricing because at some juncture, I feel that there should be a discounted rate for multiple cylinders. This is just my opinion and I was charged exactly as quoted/estimated (actually it was a bit less than the estimate) but I'm just throwing this in there for future consideration by the owner.

I love him, he is great. He stuck it out with us when the job was put on hold for a month. It was a crazy situation but he was a team player. He made sure they got it done. He is very informative and I am going to recommend him to everyone. We called him for an emergency service call and he was able to complete it for only $ 199. He charges a standard fee even for emergency calls. His prices are really reasonable. He is professional, organised, courteous, clean and always on time. We appreciate that he does what he is supposed to do and not take advantage of us. It is hard to come by somebody who takes so much pride in their work like he does. He is the only one I can use for this service.

Apex locksmith was easy to work with, installed quality locks and provided excellent advice and workmanship.

They ended up staying on the premises much longer than anyone expected (there were a lot of doors to rekey), but he made sure everything was done, and done well, before leaving.

The gentleman worked at store today helped me make two copies of my mailbox keys that work perfectly. I am very happy. I had been to another key copying place twice that they couldn't make the keys working. I will definitely use Apex Lock & Key again and recommend them to anyone who would need locksmith work.

Apex was on time, professional in their work and quickly was able to unlock and change locks on the property.

I could not find keys for a lock on a front door that I never used. Needed to have a new set of keys made for the front door. I contacted Apex Lock and Key Locksmith - made an appointment for a person to come to my house, take apart the lock and make a new set of keys.

This was a hard case. We'd already gone to two other locksmiths who said they couldn't help us. Not the case with Apex. Shawn and John were responsive, courteous, and, ultimately, successful. Our Mitsubishi gave them plenty of challenges requiring multiple trips back to our home; but they remained undaunted. I'm happy to say that the car is running. We all learned a bunch about today's cars and keys -- and, most importantly, I convinced myself (again) that local vendors with high ratings on Angie's list are your best bet for outstanding service.W Way to go, Apex! Managed to lock house keys inside in the rush to get to church. They were available, showed up at the time they said they would and had the job done in 30 seconds (which is a little scary if you think about it). Took card payment by mobile device, and I had the electronic receipt in seconds. Reasonable fee considering short notice on a Sunday, and they give discounts for police, fire, rescue, military. Would use them again, but hope I don't have to. A lesson in paying attention.

I called the company and Luke came out the same day to look at the work to be done. We discussed the type of secure lock that I was seeking. He came back on time for the next appointment with the parts needed. He was very friendly and professional with his work. He did a great job. The door installation was a little off. He corrected the jamb plate location, and the door closed much tighter.
