Perfectly - on time and fast service. Very pleased!

These guys went out of there way to research a product that I needed (latch & trim set for a front door). They did not sell the item, nor did they make any money from the company that supplied the item. They were very helpful & I truly appreciate their help in finding what I needed. They also helped me find a temporary solution until the item I ordered came in. They did all this without appointment & did a great job.

Nicely. Bought an Angie's list coupon for 4 locks and 5 new keys, had a few additional locks done due to more doors than the coupon covered.

Arrived very much on time. He explained what he was going to do and got my approval for the job. Then he got to work and finished in a timely manner. Afterward, he explained what had been done and had me try out the locks to make sure they were properly working. A totally professional job done in a friendly, courteous manner. I was very much pleased with the locksmith and with the job he did. I would definitely call them again and would recommend them to anyone in need of this type of service.

They were very good. The fee was exactly what they said they were going to charge. They gave a 10% off of the service charge for being an Angie's List member. They did what they told me on the phone and they follow through with that when they came out. They did everything we needed and the locks looked, I could say, fine. The whole thing was $125 dollars for re-keying four locks and five free keys. They arrived on time. Everything was smooth. The guy was very nice. He did everything he was supposed to do. All the keys looked perfectly well. Everything was good.

I can see why this business has such great reviews. I had called around to several locksmiths who were anything but helpful. When I called Apex Lock & Key Locksmith, they answered the phone promptly, courteously, and didn't hesitate to answer all the questions I had about how to go about replacing this key. I was trying to avoid going to the car dealership because they wanted to charge close to $200 for the key and programming. It was well worth the 45 minute ride to Apex.

Tim came out right on schedule to change all the deadbolts in our home. They were keyed to 1 common key when we purchased the home and he changed them to one new common key. He was timely, professional, efficient and clean. It was a very good experience and I will contact them first for any future locksmith needs. Thank you for taking care of us!

From the moment I called the store I had a wonderful and easy experience. The technician was on time, very professional and friendly. He changed all of the locks very quickly. He even threw in some extra keys! The cost was priced well and I will use them again for any of my locksmith needs.

I called and scheduled a whole home re-key. My husband and I had recently replaced all of the 20 year old locks on the exteriors doors and wanted to make sure that we had 1 key that worked for all of the doors. I spoke with Joel in the morning and he was able to schedule the service the same day. Bret showed up right on time and was very polite and professional. After checking all of the locks Bret determined that 3 of the 4 locks were already keyed alike and that there was only 1 lock that needed to be re-keyed. As a result, this cut my anticipated cost of the re-key service in half. I really appreciated Bret's honesty as I had no idea that we had purchased locks that were keyed alike. It was a pleasure working with Apex Lock & Key and I would definitely use them again and recommend them to others.

They were excellent! Both of the individuals were professional, answered questions, and responsive. The locksmith was professional, helpful, and pleasant. I had no negative issues.

I called directly offering to pay the Angieslist price directly. They were not open to this. I then attempted to schedule a time today to rekey my home, after taking my information he informed me that if for any reason I had to cancel it would cost $65...I let him know that I did not plan on cancelling, but I am a busy person - things do come up - and if I do need to cancel I'm not paying a 'cancellation fee'. He said he would not schedule time - so I hung up and googled someone else, who promptly scheduled time to visit at a much lower service charge ($29 vs $65). This company may do good work, but they do not make it very easy to work with them.

Tim was great! He seemed to enjoy the challenge of our old hardware and everything was completed quickly, carefully, and for a good price.

I needed 2 duplicates of a hitch lock key. I had not been able to get a duplicate from the manufacturer, nor could I find it online, nor could I get it at the big box stores. I am glad I couldn't, because it would have cost me much more, I am sure. I took my original, along with the lock, to the Apex store. It took a while for them to find the right blank, but they never gave up. I think it is a rare blank. Anyway, I am very happy with the whole transaction, and will be sure to check with Apex Lock again when I need lock services.

Arrived at our home within 30 minutes of my scheduling call; very professional; immediately focused on solving issues; completed repair and replacement within 30 minutes of arrival; rather trivial problems; door openers had both jammed; replaced one and repaired the other; cost seemed on the high side; given the overall service was immediate, excellent and thorough probably allows for the high cost; no regrets on my part

Very professional. Not only did he fix the deadbolt lock, but he also offered to fix the strike plate on the door frame that was causing the problem. Excellent to work with. I would not hesitate to call them again and highly recommend them to anyone.

Everything was perfect! The keys that they made were actually better than the original. The original key always takes a little jiggle to work, but the keys they made work with no problems.

I purchased five dead bolts and was going to special order five entrance keysets at Apex Lock and Key. The owner said I would get a better price by purchasing the entrance keysets from Home Depot or a similar store and Apex Lock and Key would key everything alike. I saved a significant amount of money purchasing the key sets from Amazon but the savings were partially offset by the cost of re--keying them. Bret did the re-keying and was very responsive completing the work a few hours after I brought all of the lock sets to the shop. We have used Apex Lock and Key for all of our locksmith work since moving to Cary in 2009. We have always been satisfied with the quality of the work and the locksmiths who did the work.

Efficient, helpful service, done by a personal technician. When he was done, tested the locking and opening, and adjusted the key plate for us, as a courtesy. Couldn't be happier. Thanks!

My 2 year old son and I were locked out of the house for hours waiting on a locksmith. Mind you the heat is setting in. His diaper was dirty and he was sweating from the heat and I had nothing to offer. Frustrated, I started to call other services. I call Apex Lock and Key where I spoke to a young man who went over the terms of service. Mind you I was Locked out-With a Screaming 2 year old(worried about to much heat exposure at this point)I said look just get here soon please I NEED HELP! To me this is a CHILD LOCK OUT EMERGENCY! The other lock smith showed up and I called Apex Lock back to let them know I was in the house and he said, too bad it is still FULL PRICE. He said you agreed, I don't recall agreeing to that as I was in distress and at this point a panic about my child ( who was is screaming to get in the house to find comfort) Who knows if I did agree, but I was in distress and my husband is away on Military duty and no family close by that could assist. The other lock smith, that was late, got me into the home, reduced his fees because he could see what a JERK this company was being. I agreed to pay the person (Apex Lock) for their time but not the entire cost as they did nothing! I was threatened with the police if I did not pay the full amount. I had to call my husband who was able to speak to me (He was in the middle of a mission for his NG AT duty) calm me down and said just pay the a$$$ hole. I felt threatened and trapped. When I spoke to the owner his response was "It's just business and that is it" This company puts $$$ over customers. They did not care that it was a CHILD LOCK OUT EMERGENCY. I did not care who got me in our home as long as my son could cool down and get a drink of water. But to not even consider reducing (Oh I forgot he gave me a military discount...geee thanks a whole $5) the rates based on the circumstances is just heart breaking and no way to conduct business. The most heartless company I have ever done business with. He even said get your husband on the phone and I won't call the police! I mean who does that! He is on duty you a$$$ hole!!! I could do nothing but cry and feel helpless and pay 2 different companies when only one did the work. I wish my husband was home...My Military Families DO NOT USE THEM! They do not support the families of Soldiers IN ANY DIVISION . I was not looking for anything free just reasonable due to the situation and mommy panic with a child! And the fact NO WORK WAS PREFORMED!
