Description of Work: After extensive reconstruction work on our house, we decided to change all the locks. They did a good job.

Description of Work: Replaced all door locks and added other security features. This happened several years ago but they came out the day called, we're so thorough and affordable that I still remember their stellar service.

Description of Work: I have a book case that contains locked doors that can only be opened with latch key. In moving the book case from one office to another, the key was lost or misplaced. I was forced to call Apex Lock and Key to open it. |I am not familiar with cost of locksmiths, but I felt $120 was a bit high for the service they performed.

Description of Work: I had them change the handles on my French doors from the lever type to regular knobs (the dog could open the lever ones). They also fixed it so they lined up correctly....made it much easier to close the doors. As this was a few years ago, I don't remember what the cost was, but I did think it was very reasonable and done quickly. Would definitely use them again.

Description of Work: Re-pinned lock and 5 keys made

Description of Work: Brought the locks onsite for them to change it out, ended up being about 8 locks changed to a new key and some copies for them. Took about 2 hours to complete.

Description of Work: Door lock from garage into house was not working. It had worked fine for 32 years. Probably a slight shift in the alignment of the door meant the deadbolt latch was not aligning properly with the strike plate and the could not be locked. Apex Lock came, two very courteous men --- they look at the lock and the door, assessed the problem and went about making needed adjustments. The amazing thing to me was when the door could be locked, they did not like how the lock was working. Additional adjustments were made and the lock worked better than it did when it was new. Those guys knew what to do, concentrated on the problem and worked efficiently. They made sure we were pleased with the way the lock worked before they left our home.

Description of Work: Changed the doorknobs on French doors and now they line up correctly.

Description of Work: I used Apex Lock and Key a couple of years ago and wrote a detailed review at that time. Angie's List has requested another review, as if that review has been lost. What I remember is that they showed up on time, fixed a broken lock and added a dead bolt lock on another door. The price was fair and they cleaned up well afterwards. The rekeyed all my locks to match.

Description of Work: Replaced all exterior door locks (2 to outside and 1 to garage) with new locks which I had purchased. Rekeyed all locks (deadbolts keyed inside and out and one electronic deadbolt; also thumb locks on 3 doorknobs), removed old locks, and installed the new locks. Even though I had purchased new brushed nickel deadbolts and knobs that were made by the same manufacturer and looked identical to the old shiny brass hardware, there had been some changes that required drilling through a door for a new screw, etc. We were very happy with the service.
