Response from 72 Degrees Heating & Air Conditioning
Hello Mr. [Member name removed]; It is my understanding that you called us on Thursday 6/18/15 as you HVAC system was out. Upon this call, you were informed that we would have to charge a diagnostic fee in order to understand why the system was broken as you hadn't done any preventative maintenance since 2009. I understand you were upset with the fact that you had to pay this had to pay this $89 dollar diagnostic fee, as well as the cost of a system cleaning, but we have to cover some of our upfront costs when we go to a customer's home, and in order to have a chance at getting your system to work efficiently, would also have to clean it. After our senior repairman Ennis diagnosed the problem as a bad rejuvenation capacitor, he replaced the part under warranty and you were only charged for the diagnostic and the cleaning fee. This cost was MUCH less than what you could have been paid had we not honored that warranty (many local competitors don't). Please know that if you'd signed a maintenance contract for a low monthly fee and the system had been properly maintained over the last 7 years, your service call costs would have been even lower. That said, I'm sorry you were dissatisfied with our pricing, and would love to talk with you about why you experience wasn't A+ since we quickly diagnosed and fixed the issue. Please don't hesitate to call our office and ask for me personally to chat. Thank You, Eddie Blanchard Owner & GM of 72 Degrees
