72 Degrees Heating & Air Conditioning

Description of Work: i used an angie's list coupon for a furnace tune up this past january and since i was happy with that i called 72 degrees back to come do an ac tuneup for the summer. i suspected that i would need freon as i have the last couple of summers. so the technician discovers that i have had a very long term blockage in the drain and that the coil and drain pan are basically nothing but rust flakes. he easily put his finger through the drain pan. he cleared the blockage, added freon and got the system functional but told me that i would need to replace the drain pan and coil and that they would call with the cost of that repair. he also installed a thingie to prevent a part from blowing out due to pressure. that service call was $813. he recommended that i talk with a salesman about a new system because mine wouldn't last too many more years and freon is getting ready to be very expensive due to epa rules. i did meet with the sales guy the next week and soon realized that the coil and pan repair would be over $1,000 and that really i was going to need a new system. i got very upset and the sales guy was very nice about it. i scheduled the guy to come out and measure the house for the new system and he came and did this. he showed me the rusty parts in the old system, the lack of certain parts, the poor installation of the original system that is only 9 years old. the furnace was not level and water had run into it from the ac unit and probably had issues going on with it. so, i ended up replacing the furnace and the ac unit. they gave me back all the repair money and a couple hundred more, just over a thousand dollars off on the new systems and they gave written guarantees on the system for 10 years and that i would save 30% off of my utilities and several other items. they always called to confirm appointments. they came on time, were respectful, wore shoe booties, and cleaned up any mess. the installer guys worked all day to put in the new systems in the attic. they covered the floors with tarps and were very careful in taking out and bringing in the big metal things. they showed me their work when they were finished. i was upset that i needed freon and ended up with two new systems but that wasn't their fault and they were the ones that found the long term problem that 4 other companies missed over the years. they have scheduled their own inspector to come out next week to inspect their own work and then they will have the city inspector come after that. i would recommend them to other angie's list members. they are focused on quality and the effort shows to me.

Description of Work: 72 Degrees in Sanford N.C. were a great company to deal with . E ven when I called they answer the phone by saying how can I make you smile.I had a 20 yr. old air and heating unit and chose to repair it. well in about a month I called them they sent someone out and told me my options .Fix or replace.I chose to get prices to replace they sent Dave out that day .He also brought a window air conditioner out which was very appreciated because it was very hot.After going over prices I was very comfortable with Dave and agreed to have them do the job.Everyone I dealt with was professional polite and I couldnt have gotten better service.It would be great if all companies had employees like 72 Degrees!!
