Their work is very good. They are very thorough. They explain everything to you before they do it. If they run into a problem more than what you discussed, they won't do anything unless they get your OK, if it's something you want them to proceed with or wait until a later day. They are very professional, very courteous, and timely. I have never had anybody do work before that by the time they were there and gone, except for what they repaired, you could never tell anyone had ever been there.

There was a long delay between the initial estimate and the actual work. I guess there is a backlog of need for quality workmanship. The quality was excellent. The workmen were professional and kind. They cleaned up after their dust and debris daily. They never let the pets out of the back yard accidentally. There were some problems in communication between the initial estimator and installers, e.g., about reinstalling the cat door on the porch, which led to further delays in final completion. The initial estimate, although much higher than competitors, was increased because they were unfamiliar with the requirements of the (new to them) green, eco-friendly product, and they had to install some new joists. They were responsive to my concerns about this, and we ended up splitting the increased costs. The quality was excellent, but for future work, I might get other bids from companies with good scores from Angie's list to see if I could do better on timeliness, communication, and costs. I respect this company a lot, but I might not be able to afford them for every job.

I think they are very good so far. They have been upfront with everything.

I would not go to anyone else. In their estimates everything is written down. If you have a question they break it down. There is no little hidden part. If something completely unforeseeable comes up they stop, sit you down, explain it, and they give you options. So they are very professional. I really appreciate the way they approach things. They are not the cheapest. I am not asking for another bid on the retaining wall. I am going with them because I know they will do a very professional job. They will not leave a mess. They will keep me informed throughout. That is worth a lot. I would keep using them in the future. They have always done very good work for me.

The job was okay, but not excellent. I'm very unhappy with the way they did the cosmetic work. I felt that the price was very high. I'm going to withhold $200, because I'm going to have to hire somebody to tear off the metal work. It's horrible. The pavilion looks all rumpled. It's shocking to me that they left the job looking like it did. The owner sold me the job, and then he took off and I didn't see him. He was not here when the work was being done. I think his business is so big that he spreads himself too thin. The quality of the work suffers. I don't feel like I got a good value for my money.

They were very nice, but I thought they were a bit too pricey. They were nearby, so I thought they could get in and out and get the job done. They probably could have because they did have a lot of workers. They were just too high priced for me. They were very professional.

I contacted several companies for estimates for my "small" job. Alan Miller returned my calls promptly, provided an estimate in just a few days and had the work completed the next week. The carpenter and painter did an excellent job and paid great attention to detail. The work was meticulous and turned out beautifully. Alan checked on the job during construction and when it was complete to ensure we were satisfied. By far the best home improvement experience we have had. We will definitely use them again.

We had a received a number of estimates of our design. Miller's estimate was in line and they gave us some good ideas on how to reduce some costs. The work was done very professionally, on time and on budget. They sent an email to us almost everyday telling us what work would be done the following day and what time workers would arrive. All workers were very nice, punctual and neat. We expected the whole project to take 5 weeks and they finished in about 5 1/2 weeks.One day they brought the wrong counter top, but a new one came the next day. We made a few changes during the process and they were handled quickly and with no hassle. They recommended a company to renovate our master closet and they were great too. We would definitely recommend Miller to anyone considering a remodeling project.

They do a wonderful job. They are not going to be the cheapest you can find but its well worth it. They are very professional. They put it on paper so that you know exactly what's going on. If there was a problem, they would explain it to me and give me options. I really like their honesty. I feel really comfortable in my house. He has had the same workmen from one year to the next. I would highly recommend them!
