Complete Home Exteriors is a very professional, family-owned company. They responded to our initial call quickly and came out and gave us a very competitive price for a new asphalt shingle roof. Great crew that worked quickly and yet paid attention to the details and did things right the first time. They also cleaned up very well. I plan to use them for more exterior house work very soon.

Did a good job. They worked hard for approx. 1 1/2 days replacing the roof. Took a while to get queued up since the hail storm had them backed up. Cleaned up good afterwards except for some nails and crud in the gutters that I cleaned up afterwards. Came out several weeks later and replaced a few shingles that were nicked/damaged and ensured everything was looking ok.

We communicated with (removed member name) on several occasions. Both myself and the installer had left several messages for him on his voicemail. Come to find out from (removed member name) was not receiving notification of missed calls or voicemail messages and he apologized for this. Installer went out of town for a week and informed (removed member name) when he returned he would contact him. (removed member name) left us a message that he was upset the installer had not contacted him. I contacted (removed member name) 30 minutes after he left the message stating the installer had tried to contact him and he left a message, but I could have him at his house in the next hour if he would like. I never heard back from (removed member name). We had done work for (removed member name) in the past with no problems. I feel the missed messages from us to him was the problem.

I decided not to do the work due to the disruption and mess that would be involved. The bid was a fair price for the work involved. I also got the impression that they were experienced and would do a good job. This is because they were not going to do a patch job, but instead were going to do all the ceilings.
Description of Work: Complete Home Exteriors has given me bids on home repair work. A previous contractor attempted to repair the texture on my ceilings. The ceilings are worse now than before they started. Complete Home Exteriors looked at the problem areas and gave me a bid to re-sheetrock and re-texture, then re-paint the ceilings.

The actual assessment of the project went very well, however there was no follow-through by the company. See above.
Description of Work: A company representative arrived when scheduled. He did a thorough assessment of the project, asked for my input and explained his plan. I never received an estimate, despite both e-mail and telephone messages to the company. They had come highly recommended and I was disappointed that they did not follow through. In my messages, I asked if they still wanted to quote on the job or to get out of the running; and I STILL heard nothing. I won't waste my time by calling them again.

Developed a leak and called Complete Home Exteriors to fix it. Joe came out to look at it and did a roof inspection. He told me I had wind damage and needed a new roof. I called the insurance agency. Joe came back out to the house to meet with the adjuster. He walked the roof again and used chalk to mark the areas of damage so the adjuster could clearly see it. The adjuster agreed that the roof needed to be replaced and Joe put me on the calendar. I have a large roof and the crew took about 4 days to complete the work. They removed all the old shingles and cleaned up very well after they finished. I am pleased with the work and will call them again if I need roof repairs.

The job started and ended on time with no hidden costs or surprises - EXACTLY AS PLANNED!
Description of Work: I had 5 companies give me estimates and had each company representative explain to me exactly what they were going to do when re-roofing my home. Some points that you need to ask about: 1) Are you going to remove the old felt and replace it with all new felt?; 2) Are you going to replace flashings around chimneys/dormers; 3) Are you going to replace exhaust vents etc.?; and 4) What about ventilation of the attic space, do you need additional venting? After reviewing each company, although Complete was a little more expensive I was impressed with Joe Boyd's knowledge and thoroughness in planning, accurately scheduling the work, and answering all questions that I had especially concerning matters related to ensuring the proper ventilation of the attic space with ridge vents and wind turbines. Several of the others that I contacted did have ideas but none related specifics and that was not helpful. I would recommend this company to anyone without any reservations whatsoever

Overall, I was VERY impressed with the work they did. Joe is the estimator/manager and watches over several crews in the area. They have been in business in the area for a long time. Joe is a very personable and professional young man - he really knows his business and made several recommendations on repairs that I agreed to as they saved me money and/or created a better result. Their prices are a little higher than some of the competition but they stand behind their work 100%. They also actually have licenses and worker's compensation insurance - almost unheard of in MS! I think the best testament of a company is how they handle problems. Let me expand on that: 1) One of the workers accidentally creased one of my gutters with his ladder - Joe had the entire section replaced with no problems and they resealed the seams correctly - looks like new! 2) There was a miscommunication in reference to how much siding to replace in one area - they did one less board than I thought I asked for. To be fair, they replaced exactly what the contract specified but I had actually wanted one more. I missed the error when I read/signed the contract. I mentioned it to Joe and he sent his guys back over and replaced the extra piece - no charge. 3) One of his workers has some tattoos and one in particular displayed the F-Bomb. I have a young kid who saw it and I mentioned it to Joe. The next time that worker came back, the area was covered with a bandaid. The individual with the tattoos was an excellent worker but I didn't want that word displayed around my kid on my property. Joe and the worker both understood. The dormers look amazing as does everything else and more importantly, the roof doesn't leak anymore! The only issue I have is not related to the job performed but goes towards responsiveness. I was so happy with the work they did already, I asked for estimates for two larger jobs. One estimate was to replace ALL of the siding and paint. The other estimate was to replace windows. Joe offered up good suggestions for both projects. For the windows, he proposed a solution where the frames are left in place and only the "guts" of the window are replaced - saving money and the ripping out of window trim. For the siding, he educated me about pre-colored Hardie siding that precludes painting and comes with a great warranty - more expensive up front but eliminates painting for at least 15 years. I have yet to receive either quote after asking on multiple occasions. He was going to have his workers measure for the siding quote while they were at the house with ladders and he had to reference some web pages for his window quotes but that is the last I have heard. I have not had time to follow-up.
Description of Work: Two dormers completely stripped of siding and facing, leaking windows removed (opened only to attic) and refaced/resided with James Hardie concrete products or vinyl no-rot trim. The facing was redone with shutters instead of windows to create the look of closed shutters over windows. The dormers where then painted to match the house. All flashing around dormers was redone to correct a roof leak. The flashing also looks much better since it is more color matched to our roof vs. the old galvanized metal used previously. They also replaced both of our "whirrly" wind turbines on the roof with professional grade, color matched turbines. Joe's team also replaced several areas of siding and window bottoms that were rotting. They wrapped all window sills in color matched aluminum and sealed to prevent any further rot. They replaced four shutters on the front of the house and repainted them to match. Replaced the bottom trim on 4 porch posts with pressure treated lumber and James Hardie trim. Hardie trim is not supposed to be used under compression loads so was not used as the post bases. This job required jacking the porch to raise the post bases and then replacing the rotten wood with the new product. All of the work was done with the intent of using the best product available to prevent rotting out of these high moisture areas in the future.

Complete Home Exteriors became a life saver for us in this renovation. We had attempted to work with someone else who misrepresented his abilities and those of the subcontractors he employed. After having him tear out everything he had done and having to terminate the relationship, we found Complete Home Exteriors. Their estimate was competitive (I think I got 5 estimates before choosing them). Chris was great to work with and followed up on the work that was being done on a regular basis. In fact, the gentleman doing the work called to give her daily updates and was very professional. There was never a question on what was being done or how it was being executed. I was consulted at every step of the renovation. We were very happy with the results and I would highly recommend them. In fact, we had them back to do another job. This job did come in a little over the original estimate, but those costs were incurred when changes had to be made or we had to find creative solutions to issues that arose. The job was not completed on the projected date because of problems with materials, etc., but was a reasonable time frame for the work that was done. All our questions were addressed in a very timely manner. After they left a couple of little things came up that had to be addressed and Complete Home was quick to respond and get those issues resolved. I have to emphasis how important it was to have someone who is a good communicator and answers all your questions. I had owned another home and did a lot of DIY projects. So, I had some knowledge. My knowledge helped me to know the first guy was not doing things right, it also helped me to know things were done correctly by Complete Home Exteriors. I didn't end up with just a beautiful bathroom, what is behind the walls was done correctly and dealt with the issues that can arise when you have a home that is more than 50 years old.
Description of Work: The project was a bathroom renovation. Everything had to be torn out and replaced. No walls were moved, but the ceiling had to be torn out and replaced. We installed a new deeper tub, fixtures, and new toilet. A new light and fan were installed over the tub along with a more updated vent cover. The cabinets were replaced with a new quartz countertop and fixtures. Additional lighting was installed with new pendant lights and wall sconce. New mirrors were installed over each of the two sinks. A new tile floor with wider base boards. New tile bars. Ceramic and glass tiles were installed around the tub and shower area with a linear glass tile backsplash around the counter top. The remaining walls, ceiling, and doors were painted. New door knobs.

Excellent job, very professional with the contract preparation (everything spelled out and priced in detail). Arrived to start work on the date promised. Tarps were placed around the house to 'catch' the old shingles. All debris was picked up and the driveway was swept thoroughly after the job was completed to pick up nails, etc. Job was done in one day. The crew came back the 2nd morning with "magnetic sweepers" to pick up any nails in the grass and flower beds.

I was looking for a siding company to re-side and paint my two-story garage using Hardie siding. The siding was rotting and I could not get the same material any more. I contacted three companies in the area for quotes. One company never bothered to return my call after they said an estimator would call. After getting a quote from another company that I had done business with in the past, I went to the JamesHardie.com website to look at my siding choices. There I discovered that Complete Home Exteriors was the only recommended Hardie installer in the entire area. At first I wanted to just get the entire thing painted, but I also got quotes on the pre-finished Hardie siding in a color I liked. After meeting with Joe Boyd, I was very impressed with their credentials and professionalism. The first company asked me to go to Home Depot to see if they could get color samples for me to see. Joe brought an entire book of actual pieces of siding for me to see. I decided to get the pre-finished siding and go with Complete Home Exteriors and was very glad I did. They did a fine job. They started about 17 days late because of several unforseen and unavoidable problems that they had, including the weather. The workers worked every day possible, between rain days from about 7am until 5pm. They had to repair rotten backerboard and wrapped the entire building in a vapor barrier before putting up the siding. They were careful to match up the panels all around the house and trim the doors and windows with Hardie material. They cleaned up most material they tore off every day. The one thing I wish they would have been a little more careful with the plants in the flower beds. I had to complain some about them trampling everything or putting siding on top of things a few times. Other than that everything went smoothly. A day or two before they completed the work, Joe Boyd brought by about four inspectors direct from the Hardie Siding company to see their work and make sure they were following the company's guidelines for installing the siding. The inspectors told me that this company had once again earned the ranking of the best installer of their siding in a three state area and have held that position for several years. I was impressed that they would bring them around to look at their work like that. They cleaned up pretty well after the work was done. They could have done a better job with getting nails up. They had a magnet to pick them up with, but I found many more with my magnet after they had left. Joe came a few days after the job was finished to go over a few things, look at the work and we discussed roofing too. I will probably use them for this work when I get around to it. I would definitelyl recommend them to anyone.
Description of Work: I was looking for a siding company to completely re-side and paint my two-story garage that was too much for me to handle. Sometime in the future I would also like my house done the same way.

Joe Boyd, owner of Complete Home Exteriors, has GAF Master Elite Certification (and a degree in Engineering). He knows his business completely and answered all my questions thoroughly and explained exactly what needed to be done and why. He is extremely professional and friendly and easy to reach at his cell phone or with a call to his office. He arrived exactly when he said he would with his 7 man crew. The job took two days and Joe personally checked on his crew at least twice a day, going up on the roof to inspect and ensure that they were doing a quality job. When the job was completed, Joe did a final inspection on the roof to ensure everything was done correctly and that no minor details were missed. He even applied some additional caulking around the chimney flashing and painted a section of roof-to-wall flashing to match the shingle color. The cleanup was very good; no shrubbery damaged, no nails left behind. All this and his pricing is very competitive with no markup on materials. The roof looks great and it is a real comfort to know that every protection is in place to ensure my roof is waterproof. When the time comes for another roof replacement, I won't need to call several roofers for estimates. I'll call Joe Boyd at Compete Home Exteriors.
Description of Work: Removed existing roof and disposed of all material. Installed Tiger Paw Synthetic Roofing underlayment (much better protection than 15lb or 30lb felt) Installed Prostart Starter Shingles, Architectural shingles, Timbertex Ridgecaps, Cobra III Ridgevents. Replaced plumbing stack flashings. Installed colored drip edge over all eaves and rakes. Installed Storm Guard Leak Barrier at all penetrations, valleys, and roof to wall flashings. Painted all flashings and vents to match roof color Replaced water damaged plywood decking in three areas. GAF/ELK System Plus Warranty was included.

My thought was that, since we were going to have to repair it, we may as well explore getting a completely new roof (the inspector had told us the year before that it "had a few more years left," but that it was probably 10 years old. I called 2 different companies, and the first gave me a bid of $680 to fix it, but he could not guarantee that it would match perfectly. Thought maybe we should replace the entire roof for $7000. Complete Home Exteriors came, told me that my roof was in great shape (probably only 3 or 4 years old), that we would be crazy to replace it, and that we should transplant some of the shingles from the back (where you can't see them under a tree) to the front in order to assure a perfect match. $225. Wow. And that's exactly what they did and exactly how much it cost. And there is no evidence that any repair took place (unless you look REALLY closely at the back of the house. The only slightly negative mark was the fact that it took several days after agreeing on the work for them to contact me.

We wish all companies we have dealt with in the past were as professional and honest as Complete Home Exteriors. With the recent wind driven 11 inches of rain we had a leak in our window and roof area. We are moving back to Texas and the movers were here moving us out. We were in a bind due to timing of selling, closing and buying another home. Stress levels were extremely high but Joe put us at ease and explained things throughly. We were very pleased and would highly recommend them to anyone wanting a certified roofing and construction company .
Description of Work: Inspected windows and attic of where the leak occurred. Caulked the window extensively after determining with the wind driven 11 inches of rain and the extreme heat over the past summer the caulking had shrunk and was not sealing properly.
