Sean arrived within an hour of when we called. Unfortunately, he was on his cell phone a LOT once he got to our house. We felt he should have turned his cell phone OFF. However, once he started, I did notice that he didn't seem to take anymore calls. He fixed the issue. We did feel that even though he lowered the price with some discounts, it was still over priced for the supply line/labor. But we paid it because it was a saturday and needed the work done. We just hope he wasn't charging us for the all the time he was one the cell phone. Again, he was very polite and seemed to know his job. However, SUNDAY, we had another emergency in the same bathroom and this time was able to get hold of our regular plumber. He came out and not only fixed the NEW issue but replaced the same supply line and only charged us 1/3 of what THIS company did! He even took the time to go downstairs and make sure our main supply shut off was in good condition. So the only reason I can think that Performance Plumbers was so expensive was that it was a Saturday? Not sure. Don't misunderstand me, Performance Plumbers ARE knowledgeable and it's possible that we may use them again in the future if needed. Their price was just very very high in my humble opinion, $394, then after the senior discount and the $25 discount that Sean was nice enough to tell me about, brought it down to $321. So yes, I would use them again if needed. They are good people, just expensive.

When the technician came to the house, he begin troubleshooting the problem of the frozen pipes. First, he attempted to use a turbo heater to get the main water line unthawed. Later, he was convinced that the 3/4 inch pressure reducing valve was bad (which he replaced). Once this was done, we still didn't have water to the house. I took his word that the valve was bad but in hindsight, I don't think I would have had him replace it. When he was welding the new valve on, he started a fire in our wall which required him to quickly rip out the installation. This caused a massive hole in the wall (which Performance Plumbing said they would fix after the holidays). I was charged $400 for the technician to use a turbo heater on the shut off valve that was located outside. I was charged $418 for the technician to replace the reducing valve. He took off $79 for a "Universal Protection Program" which I don't know what that is and he took off $25 for a coupon (which I never gave him one). I asked what I could do since he never got the water running again. I asked if there were some kind of pipe heater cords I could buy and he said there was. Before he left, he suggested I get a exhaust fan for the bathroom in the basement that emits heat. I called the office two days later to complain. The lady I talked to was very nice and said that the technician went above and beyond in helping me. She said I had other contributing factors that caused my pipes to free and offered to send out a senior technician to come out and give me some recommendations. She was very willing to make me satisfied in my dealings with the company which I appreciated. Like I told her, I didn't feel the first technician was very skilled, especially when he had to refer repeatedly to a plumbing manual. Also starting a fire in my house and damaging a wall didn't go over well with me. On the bright side, Performance Plumbing is very responsive. I received a full refund for the service.

We discovered that our water heater was "dead" one evening and I called Performance Plumbing that evening. I left a message with the service, and Rich returned my call immediately. He instructed me on how to turn off the gas for safety, and said he would send someone out between 7 and 8 the next morning to install a new one if necessary. The two workers arrived on time, determined that our old heater could not be repaired, and installed the new one with an overflow tank in about 2.5 hours. They kept things as neat as possible, considering that charred insulation from our old tank was already scattered around. The price was on the high end, we felt, but part of the package is an annual inspection of our heater, faucets, etc. We were in a pinch and could not shop around, but given the circumstances we were very happy with the service, and okay with the price.

Justin arrived on time, reviewed locations and spent about forty-five minutes describing what the job would entail including possibilities for where to locate plumbing in walls. Provided faxed estimate about two days later, approximately $2000 for first floor, $3000 for second floor. Basement is unfinished thus much easier to run plumbing to where it's needed. Justin provided recommendation for carpenter to perform drywall work. Justin was courteous and answered questions. Currently deciding where to move laundry and seeking second estimate for comparison.

Excellent. Would use them again. They were very professional and took great care not to destroy flower beds of brick lining another flower bed. Also when they came into house put on booties over shoes so as not to track in dirt on our hardwood floors. Here by 9AM and gone by 3:30P. Very polite workers and price to extend line into house was reasonable.

I WAS DISAPPOINTED THAT NO ONE RETURNED MY CALL TO SET UP AN ESTIMATE.

PLUMBER CAME WITHIN 3 HOURS OF MY CALL. THEY HAVE 24 HOUR EMERGENCY SERVICE. PLUMBER WAS SKILLED ENOUGH TO FIND THE SOURCE OF PROBLEM WITHIN 15-20 MINUTES. REPAIRS DONE QUICKLY AND WITHOUT A MESS.

EXTREMELY PROFESSIONAL AND KNOWLEDGEABLE. CHARGE BY THE JOB AND NOT HOW LONG IT TAKES THEM. THEY STOOD BY THEIR WARRANTY AND DIDN'T CHARGE THE CUSTOMER
