They were very helpful friendly and professional. They gave me several options, tiers, and prices and didn't pressure me to purchase a certain one. I plan on using them in the future.

Reviewed product with me, I was concerned with adequate supply of hot water, and then provided a quotation. Install took about 6 hours. First class installation and they did a thorough clean up of all areas where work was done. These guys are first class professionals.

They were the only company out of 5 that I called who actually had a live person answer the phone. I am not knocking down the others since they were probably very busy since this happened during Thanksgiving week.

Mark was terrific ! He was very thorough and very carefully considered two possible causes one of which could have been quite expensive. He fixed the problem with the less expensive solution. We will ask them again and will ask for Mark !

Called about water heater problem, but that had resolved by the time He arrived. I then had min address a dripping faucet and a sink drain that I was in the process of cleaning out. |He fixed the faucet and did some addition sink drain cleaning. Very congenial and professional. Fee schedule is generous when computed on an hourly basis, even considering Saturday service.

When Chad left on Saturday he left an estimate of $810.00 to come back on Monday and replace the valve and install a chrome trim kit. Since I wanted brushed nickel he said there would be an additional charge but he wasn't sure how much, thought it might be around $80. I gave him a deposit of $405. By Monday morning I'd had time to think and thought the price was very high. I asked what the labor-only charge would be for customer supplied parts, except the valve. Basically I wanted to know what I was being charged for the faucet, etc. He wasn't exactly certain so I called their office and talked with a man who wasn't the owner who was antagonistic. Chad then made a call to the office and got the task code for customer-supplied trim. That charge was $327 which made the charge for the trim parts approximately $583, and I had no choice of faucet, handle or shower head style! ! I couldn't believe it. Since trim parts are very easy to install I asked for the option of customer supplied trim with the valve provided and installed by Performance Plumbing. Chad called the office again to confirm the $327 charge was correct. Then I was told the charge would be $327 plus $89 for the Saturday call and $118.75 for Chad to go to the supply house on Monday and $59 for the Monday service call. I could understand the charges of $327 and $89 and $118.75. I was also told that a permit for $125 was needed and if I wanted them to install the trim kit, that would be yet another $100-$200. Installing trim parts consists of slipping on a sleeve, screwing the escutcheon plate to the valve (2 screws), screwing the handle on (1 screw), removing and installing the new overflow (2 screws) and screwing off the old shower head and screwing the new one on. I checked St. Louis County plumbing regulations on-line and here is the exact wording which specifically says that a permit is not required for an interior valve. Also the amount they were going to charge for a permit was over twice the actual permit charge. See below. The following types of work are considered minor ordinary repairs or minor work for which a Plumbing Permit will not be required; provided such ordinary repairs are regularly performed as on-going continued maintenance for the purpose of maintaining the building?s plumbing system in good condition: 1. Went very well it was on a Saturday, I called them in the morning and they were out that afternoon.

Performance Plumbing was very responsive. They came out right away to inspect damage and stop leak. First they replaced the toilet seal and all was well for a few days. The leak came back with a vengeance and the owner came out on a Saturday on his way to his vacation. I was credited for the toilet seal repair because the leaky pipe turned out to be under the bathtub. I ended up having the tub, shower surround, floor and walls replaced and upgraded. They also repaired the damage to the bathroom below. The only problem was that the floor tile was supposed to be set on an angle, but when I came home I saw that it was perpendicular. They offered to redo it or credit it me for the difference in price. Also I noticed several scratches to my storm door and interior walls that must have happened when they brought in the new tub. The plumbers/contractors were very cooperative, responsive and skilled and they cleaned up after themselves. Overall, I was very pleased with the job they did and would not hesitate to call them again.

On time. I called them at noon & they responded within a couple hours.He explained problem, showed it & explained repair. The response time was outstanding. The respond was outstanding.

Performance responded quickly; provided an accepted price for seniors but needed to return the next day to adjust the stopper so it would hold water.

They were very good to bring everything to me before we signed a contract. I am a very visual person so samples I could set in my bathrooms were very important to me. There was no pressure to sign now. I had five different contractors bid the job. It came down to two contractors and I chose them for a few reasons. There was no pressure to sign a contract, they provided a link on their site for financing, their price was within $50. of my other choice and they were very easy to work with. They provided a detailed quote for the work they would do and they were professional. When doing the work they were very good about cleaning up after themselves. They were good about making sure we were not without a bathroom on the main level. They planned their work so we were not without the master bath over a weekend. They finished in eight working days with some minor redo's which they came the next day and took care of. Their goal was to make sure we were satisfied with the work they did and we are. The other thing that made them stand out to me was while they were working on our bathrooms we discovered a water problem in our basement. Rick took a look at it for me and had his guy check the meter outside to see if there was a leak under the yard. There was not but he and his guys took the time to help us find the cause of the leak and there was no additional charge. He did it because it's what he does. It's great customer service. Carolyn

ton RoadHad performance come out to give an estimate for several projects needed in old house.Was very good at giving suggestions on best way to handle the jobs. gave us an estimate with understanding the vanity pluming might require going into wall if old pipes needed replacement. It turned out this was the case. Arrived on time and completed all work required. Were very professional and did a good job. We were pleased with the results

It started with a conversation with Rachel on the phone. We had just experienced a minor flood in our laundry room where the faucets were not completely shutting off and this, combined with a problem with our washing machine, caused a situation where, even though we had turned both faucets off and unplugged the washing machine the night before, the cold water side kept running slowly and filled the washer to overflowing during the night. Rachel listened to my story and gave us a window of time that very same afternoon when we could expect a plumber to arrive and save the day. Probably because she detected some urgency in my voice during our first conversation, she called me back within just a few minutes and asked if it would be alright to send a man out right then! Of course, I said definitely "yes" and in just five more minutes, the Performance Plumbing truck pulled up. We were pleased to see Chad, an experienced technician with Performance Plumbing, come into our home and quickly diagnose the problem with the laundry faucets. The only reason I gave a slight downgrade in the "price" category above is that, as a senior citizen on a fixed income, and who doesn't call a plumber just every day, I had to get past the sticker shock. Chad, however, was very professional, courteous and attentive to my comments. He showed me how he was going by a "book" which had the necessary prices which he had to charge for each type of job. He also pointed out that, as a senior citizen, I qualified for a 10% discount OR waiving of the $59 service call fee. I chose the waiver of the $59 fee! I also understand that of the $267.94, only a fraction went to Chad with the remainder being needed for the not insignificant amount of overhead required in order to run a well-equipped and professionally staffed plumbing company. And, yes, there is nothing wrong with a reasonable profit for those who risk so much to own and operate a business. Chad did, by the way, give me a chance to back out, asking me if I was alright with the price. Since I felt the need to get the problem fixed right and right away, I said "yes." Three days have now passed and I am pleased to report that there is no further leak in the laundry room faucets. After the time spent in the laundry room, Chad also spent time listening to some plans we had for a refresh on the shower hardware. He gave us a pretty good idea of what it might cost to install the new fixtures assuming we bought the parts. He not only gave us a suggestion of where to obtain the parts, he suggested we take pictures of the present set-up to show the parts-supplier. He ended the visit with a pressure check and was off to his next assignment. I don't know much about Performance Plumbing, but I do know there are two employees who would be great assets to any business or organization. Rachel is a great listener (even remembering my name during the first hurried conversation), is calm, well-organized and extremely friendly on the phone. I have a feeling she is a pretty valuable member of the Performance Plumbing team. Chad, although young in age, has learned much in his nine years as a plumbing professional and, just as importantly, has learned the important skills of showing concern for the customer, demonstrating the confidence to get the job done correctly and timely, and has an engaging and friendly personality with the ability to strike up a conversation on most any subject. First, I didn't feel like I was getting ripped off. I thought the price was fair. It was kind of an emergency call and they came out quickly. The guys that came out were very polite and they did a good job.

Performance Plumbing did a fantastic job of remodeling the bathroom in the master bedroom. They removed and replaced everything. They took out the tub and installed a walk-in shower; removed wall paper and repainted the room; installed a new toilet, cabinets, counters, sinks, medicine cabinets, lights, exhaust fan... you name it! They also remodeled the master bedroom, removing wall paper, repairing cracks in the walls, painting, and installing a new ceiling fan. In addition, they remodeled our office, wet bar area, and hallway, repairing all cracks in the wall, painting, paneling in the office, etc. They also installed 4 lights we had purchased for the outside of our house. In the middle of all this remodeling, our sump pump went out and being a plumbing company, they replaced this also. Their work is way beyond what we expected. On most days, the "workers' were, Rick (the owner), Rick (his contractor and major magician), Nick, and Chad. They were very easy to get along with, had great personalities, and were anxious to make sure our every request was met with perfection. They faced every "challenge" head on and came up with some great ideas or suggestions. They were... Reliable, punctual, thorough, knowledgeable, excellent... and as I said, MORE than what we expected. We received bids from four different companies and Performance Plumbing came in with the best "quality" bid for the amount of work we wanted done. They came to our first meeting completely prepared with samples, ideas and suggestions. Rick followed this up with one more meeting, to give us his bid. Other companies met with us to see what we wanted done, then set up another meeting to come out with samples and followed this with a third meeting to give us their bid. Performance Plumbing was much better prepared. In addition to their "grade" with Angie's List, Performance Plumbing was also highly recommended by one of our neighbor's for the remodeling they did for them. Because their work was so good, we decided to have them remodel the main bathroom also. After working with Performance Plumbing, I can't imagine anyone else doing repairs to our home. I recommend them VERY highly and look forward to working with them again in the future... as soon as I come up with new ideas! If I had to describe them in one word...? AMAZING!!

I called Performance Plumbing about our clogged kitchen sink and spoke to a very nice woman who took my information and got someone out within a couple hours. Justin arrived and was friendly and informative and had the kitchen sink back in working condition in about 30 minutes. He also provided me with some helpful information on how to get a replacement part for my faucet at no cost. He was very friendly and attentive and did a great job. Very happy with Performance and I would highly recommend them.

EXCELLENT from start to finish.A true team of PROFESSIONALS!!! Everyone from Rachael [in the office] who was very helpful to Justin & Nick who evaluated our needs , installed the 2 water heaters,a pressure valve and correcting what another plumbing company did not do w/ the sump pump did a PROFESSIONAL excellent job!!! There were absolutely NO PROBLEMS from start to finish. Everything was cleaned up and the work was performed professionally by Justin Miller & Nick. The job was completed in a reasonable amount of time and the team arrived on time as agreed. Everything was performed by CODE and inspections by the county were completed smoothly. Had three estimates by other Angie Listed Plumbing companies and found that PERFORMANCE was very competitive in pricing to the others. They were all within a few dollars. We chose PERFORMANCE because we felt they listened more to our needs and were more honest on our pressure valve replacement than both of the others.. We just love companies like PERFORMANCE PLUMBING who do the work as as agreed with NO PROBLEMS.We will use Performance Plumbing for ALL our future plumbing needs! They are the BEST!! I have dealt with many plumbing companies through the years ,due to being in RE, and this is the BEST company I have worked with !!! Truly CUSTOMER SERVICE oriented company with Rachael coordinating with the Plumbing team everything that needs to be done. The plumber, Justin, arrived on time, he was respectful and thoroughly explained the problem. He offered 2 or three solutions and once I made my decision, he immediately went to work. His work was of the highest quality and at a very reasonable price. We did purchase a new commode on his recommendation however, we are very happy with the purchase and his professionalism.

Rick came out on February 5 to give me an estimate. I heard nothing after a week, so I called the office and left a message for him. I have since left 2 more messages, being assured each time he would call me and he never has. If he changed his mind and did not want to do the work, it would have been nice and more professional to call me and say so, rather than leaving me hanging.

Rick Rowles and "Little" Rick came out together and started ripping out our entire bathroom. Little Rick had finished taking all of the 1970's tile etc from the bathroom within a day which was very impressive. They instantly started on the plumbing for the shower head, forward spraying shower heads and double sinks. Everything went so super smooth. The tub fit perfect and so did the custom cut onyx walls. The cabinets were so much nicer than expected. They are solid wood with a beautiful finish. Rick also built our custom linen closet with 3 slide out large drawers that would replace our old medicine cabinet. They also layed new stone flooring and we couldn't be happier. They worked on our kitchen for a little over a week since they ripped out all the cabinets and were moving gas lines and such for the stove. Little Rick did such an amazing job. He is super fast and very efficient. He put in all new cabinets, crown moulding around the cabinets, moved our dishwasher, put in a huge corner sink and did all of this in record time mostly by himself. Everything went super smooth and I couldn't of asked for a better kitchen. We have called them a couple of times to route our sewer line since we had some minor backups and they were out within 24 hours and fixed the problem. They are very professional and knowledgeable. I would highly recommend them for any kind of job. I CALLED THEM TO HAVE A SUMP PUMP REPLACED. THEY WERE VERY PROFESSIONAL AND FRIENDLY SETTING UP THE APPOINTMENT. JEREMY CAME OUT AND DISCOVERED THAT PART OF MY SEWER LINE WAS BROKEN. HE REPLACED MY SUMP PUMP. WE DISCUSSED THE REPLACEMENT OF THE SEWER LINE IN THE BASEMENT. HE WAS VERY KNOWLEDGABLE AND PROFESSIONAL. I HAD MANY QUESTIONS IN MIND AND ALMOST ALL OF THEM HE ANSWERED BEFORE I EVEN ASKED THEM. EXCELLENT EMPLOYEE AND COMPANY. I AM IN THE PROCESS OF SETTING UP THE SEWER LINE REPLACEMENT AND I HAVE DECIDED TO HAVE A SECOND BATHROOM PUT IN THE BASEMENT AND HAVE THE MAIN BATH GUTTED AND REPLACED AT THAT TIME.

They explained everything the week before starting so I knew what to expect. Everything went as I was told. Great to work with.
