Response from Performance Plumbing
Sir we are confused by your various reviews of our company as they do not match what actually transpired. You wrote a review on our Nearby Now Review Site and until we received notice of the review we were unaware that there were any problems. In that review you threatened, “Additional plumber cost $580 which I believe Performance Plumbing should reimburse me. I await your response prior completing Angie's List survey.” Our company does not buy reviews. We read the technician's invoices and talked to the staff, and the fact you never contacted us personally about any complaints, we saw this as a scheme to extort money from us after the fact. Your review and threat did not require a response. When you called to schedule us to come back out to your home for a second visit (after you called another plumber to do work for you) you never even mentioned at that time you had another plumber move our gas line. When our technician arrived and saw the line was moved he asked about it, you commented that you had to have it moved because the buyer didn’t like the look of it. Our technician said you told him you were selling the home and that you were not concerned about whether or not they liked how it was run. That you needed it done the most cost efficient way and the way the lines were run is exactly how you and the technician had discussed as evidence by your signature approving and accepting the job at completion. The amount you were quoted was $2,148. The technician gave you a $200 discount because you were selling the home and wanted the lines run on the outside thereby saving you money. Had you had us do it the day you were there it would have cost you an extra $200 not $580 from the other customer. You were so happy at the job done you even gave our technician a $20 tip for good work. If the work was not done how you wanted, why would you sign the invoice and give him a tip? Even then if this other plumber was so much better, why is it that we had to return to install bonded 3/4" csst gasline to the furnace, to which we did not charge you. It seems that the way the work was done was not to the new homeowners liking and instead of calling us back out to try and work with you to get it done to their liking you called another plumber because you were embarrassed that the work we had done as per your request had almost lost you the sale of your home and rather than admitting that to our technician you called another plumber.
