The windows are very well made and the installer was very professional and quick.

1. Inception. We were visited by Mr. Sean Marlowe of Midtown Home Improvements on 29 June 2015. It should be noted that we are occasionally visited by representatives of this company, since we had them install a deck on the back side of our house in 2012. They are always interested in seeing if we have decided on any further enhancement of our home. On this date, it happened we were considering having a bathroom completed in our basement, where a facility was stubbed in when the house was constructed in 2007. Mr. Marlowe did detailed planning for this room, guiding us through the choice of all hardware, structural work, and so on. He strongly recommended the work be "non-permitted," and we agreed to this, in spite of being somewhat nervous that "non-permitted" sounds rather like "not permitted." There was a sizeable increase in cost if the construction were permitted, and a substantial prolongation of the completion time. We signed the contract for this work on the evening of 29 June 2015. 2. Re-measurement. Verification of all dimensional data for the project was to occur between 2 and 3 weeks after contract signing. "Ken" arrived to do this work on 21 July, very near the three-week boundary. 3. Construction. August and September passed with no further activity while Midland waited for the delivery of materials. Material arrived on 19 October, and was deposited in our driveway (we were not at home at the time). Weather was threatening, so a Midtown worker came to help move the material into the garage. Construction finally began on 26 October, when "Mike" and "Chaz" (or "Charles") arrived. These gentlemen were very friendly, kept us continually informed of what they were doing and what was planned each day. They were always a bit optimistic as to how much they would accomplish in any given day. They did all the work, including plumbing, electrical, framing, laying tile—quite impressive! We purchased primer, paint, light fixture, and mirror; everything else was included in the contract price. Mike and Chaz even closed up the "exterior" walls to seal off plumbing and electrical work otherwise exposed, using left-over wallboard. Given occasional visits from grandchildren, we very much appreciated this "above and beyond" contribution. The work was completed in plenty of time to be ready when our family members started arriving for Thanksgiving on the weekend of 21/22 November. 4. Overall satisfaction. We are delighted with the new bathroom. It looks great, and seems to be functioning just as it should. It certainly enhances the convenience of our basement office. We were very pleased with the skills, care, and enthusiasm of Mike and Chaz. Midtown did an excellent job with my bathroom. I was very pleased with the quality of work and I was amazed at how quickly the work was completed. The crew was very polite and professional and they cleaned up at the end of each day. I had one change that needed to be done and they immediately came to the house to take care of it.

We were very impressed during the sales presentation. My only complaint were a few minor nicks in our laminate flooring that were found under one of the replacement windows, as if the window was accidentally dropped during installation.

Installers did excellent job installing product, worked well together and did great post clean up. I would recommend this company to family and friends any day. They also installed a deck for me last year and it still looks like new. Excellent personal from sales people to owner. Thankyou

Work was completed on time. The guys that did the actual deck demolish and install were very friendly, polite, and professional. I was informed every step of the way. The quality of the deck and required rework to the existing siding exceeding expectation. I am very pleased with my new deck and the level of service from start to end. I would highly recommend Midtown.

Also had a fence installed, it was great, however, we were left with no fence over a weekend, and we have a dog we had to keep on a chain. That was very inconvenient (especially when she wanted to go outside at 3 A.M.). It would have also been nice if there was more communication between the bosses and us.

I was very pleased with the result of the work done. The new soffit and fascia make my house look a lot better. It looks newer as well. The only issue we had was a scheduling conflict, but Midtown did a good job of getting the work done in spite of the scheduling issue. Midtown's personnel cleaned up all the areas each day so I didn't have tools or supplies in my yard.

We have 7 yards that adjoin our back yard (we live on a cul-de-sac). Every family has let us know they LOVE (and so do we) our new white and shinning fence (the old one was wood and falling down). Now I notice other fences in the neighborhood. Ours is the BEST!

Our experience with Midtown Home Improvements was overall a positive one. We had all of the windows in our house replaced. The product has been high quality and a vast improvement to what we had before. The workers in our home were friendly and helpful. They did a nice job installing. When we had a mishap the day after installation that resulted in a broken window, they were able to come out and replace it in a very timely manner.

Sales effort was crazy long, the whole "need both spouses home" type thing which is beyond annoying. That being said, the quality of the work, the materials, and the workmanship were all very good. The 2 workers here were friendly and respectful and communicative. 2 issues I had were (1) the cost based on the actual amount of labor hours they ended up spending was very high (in line with other bids, but just on an hourly basis it is crazy high) and (2) there was one final item that didn't get completed the way we needed due to a rush we both had at the end, and got a poor response from the previously excellent workman on getting that done. If I had to do it again for such a partial job, I'd just get one of those "contractors for a week" deals from Angie's list, and then buy my own materials. summary: Quality work, typical contractor annoyances, pricey

The workers were courteous and professional and did a great job. They took out my chain link fence and installed the new picket fence as contracted. Their customer service was great.

David went out of his way to help with my water heater. Arrived on time everyday, and cleaned the mess every day. Great Guy!!!

Midtown Home Improvements removed and replaced my old aluminum siding with brand new vinyl siding as well as installed new soffit and gutters on my garage. Overall the quality of the work is outstanding. Looks like a brand new building. Quality of the materials is excellent. Sales rep and installers were all courteous and respectful and work was completed in a timely manner. Would recommend this company to anyone.

Everything the sales rep promised was delivered. They tore down old deck and replaced with and new material. Workers were very courteous and on time every day. Project was handled very professionally.

Everyone from the sales rep, the measuring people, to the installers were courteous and professional. They explained everything in detail from the products quality to the time to do the work. The installers were very good in the details they put into their labor and were very pleasant. They cleaned up after their completion. I am very satisfied with their work and I am very glad I chose them.

The sales rep did not try to pressure me to buy right away, but did a great job with persuasion as time went on. The fact that they had a payment plan that I could afford was a major plus! The crew that installed the deck were professional and did a wonderful job. Whenever a problem came up, they were sure to inform me, provide suggestions for a solution, and ask for my input before proceeding. They also did well with clean up. The deck turned out great and I'm completely satisfied.

Midtown was the only company/remodeler that was not way over our budget. Had no luck with receiving quotes from individual contractors. Most of them would not show up or even call back. The technician was helpful and did great work. Our newly remodeled bathroom is exactly what we wanted.

They also rescheduled gutter install because we had terrible leaking. I was impressed with the re-schedule.

The sales team presented a low pressure and factual bid. The installation team was top notch and completed the project in a timely and professional manner. Clean up was good. The finished deck is beautiful, well constructed, and will be enjoyed for many years.
