Dan and his crew did a great job on updating/remodeling our master bathroom. They removed the old shower tile, the tile floor, toilet, vanity, and medicine cabinet. They took the walls down to the bare studs where it was needed and did not remove drywall on the other wall where it was not needed. This saved us material and labor. They installed new tile in the shower, added porcelain flooring, toilet, vanity, and new larger medicine cabinet, and replaced floor trim. Dan and his crew were very professional, polite, on-time, and made sure every day that they cleaned up the area before they left. What a great company to work with and we would highly recommend Dan Weber General Construction, LLC. If we ever need any additional home improvements like this Dan will be our first and only call.

We had 184 apartments that needed new ADA bathrooms constructed. Pam and Dan came out and were wonderfully professional and accommodating. Was promised a bid by end of week and when I didn't get it I contact them 8 days later and was told that they were turning the job down because it was too cost prohibitive for them. This after I told them that this was a project that we had to do and that our corporate was willing to pay whatever it took to complete this project. Sounds very strange to me. Sounds like the job was too big for them and didn't want to tell me the truth. Very disappointing from a company that seemed so professional. Must be a much small company than what they portray themselves to be.

Response from Dan Weber General Construction LLC
In response, initially, after a considerable amount of time discussing and running numbers on the project and trying to come up with something that would be beneficial to both parties, we felt it may be best to decline. That was not an easy decision but there were several factors, some of which were we would only be doing a very small part of each units remodel and would only be able to do a few units at a time. However, after [Member name removed] expressed her disappointment, we re-thought the project and chose to provide her with a preliminary quote (three pages) that would allow us to play a larger role in the remodel of each unit, which we felt would be to everyone's advantage. We emailed the preliminary quote to [Member name removed] on August 1st and Mr. Weber has since been in contact with her. He has also followed up several times since speaking with her. We are hopeful that we will have the opportunity to work with her on this project but if that does not happen we wish her the best. We will continue to follow-up until which time we have been informed that we unfortunately did not get the job.

Scheduled an appointment with Dan to discuss a basement finishing project. He called ahead on his way out (as he always did). He took notes, provided suggestions, collected some measurements and within a few days he was back out to go over his proposal. Based on reasonable price and good reputation we went with Dan's proposal. An important note here is that Dan's proposal is a little different than some other general contractors in that labor and basic raw materials (lumber, nails/screws, drywall, wiring, basic lighting, insulation, etc.) are included, but items such as cabinets, showers/tubs, toilet, sink, and flooring were provided by us. Honestly, it didn't take much time on our part to make selections and I thought it gave us more flexibility. He even has some preferred suppliers that can pass on some substantial discounts (e.g. flooring). He was flexible and allowed us to do the painting ourselves to save money. One suggestion: while floor plan is laid out in the contract, it is helpful to have exact dimensions of selected cabinetry (kitchen, bathroom) available before electrician and plumbing subcontractors perform so they can place utilities as exactly as possible. Speaking of subcontractors, Dan's subcontractors are professional companies. They were polite and respectful just like his own crew. Dan always let us know before the subcontractors showed up which gave us an opportunity, if we wanted, to go over the work they would perform. Now, there were issues along the way, as there probably would be for any job of this size. All of them relatively minor and all of them addressed. Dan definitely went beyond what was required in addressing these issues and even performing some extra work through no fault of his own and at no extra charge to us. Even seeing that a minor plumbing leak was repaired after final payment was made. The basement looks great and I'm a very pleased with the outcome. Dan does get busy at times, but he always returned a call or text and never seemed bothered to address issues. We would definitely recommend Dan Weber and would likely contact him again for our next project.
Description of Work: Finished basement including bathroom, kitchenette, greatroom, and a couple repairs. About 900 square ft or so.

Dan's company is fantastic!!! I recently moved into a condo that needs a lot of renovating. After searching Angie's List and interviewing 3 companies, I chose Dan Weber General Construction based on reviews, price, and Dan's dynamic personality. I am so very glad I chose this company. I have worked with a lot of companies in the past, but Dan Weber GC is by far the very best. Dan and his crew tore down a closet and walls separating two bedrooms, built a new master closet, walled-up unneeded entry doors, expanded the kitchen pantry, created display niches, expertly patched large areas of missing drywall from an electrical renovation, hung multiple doors, and laid hard wood flooring throughout the two story condo. I could not be more pleased with the work. My 40 year old condo is looking like new construction thanks to Dan and his company. Ryan, Aaron, and Mike, "the crew", could not be nicer people. I felt very secure leaving them to work during the day while I was at work. Because I was living in the space during construction, it was very important for me to have minimal mess left behind each day. They always cleaned up after themselves each day, vacuuming dry wall dust, picking up their tools and storing them out of the way, and making sure everything was covered with heavy plastic to insure minimal collection of drywall dust on the furniture. I am moving onto the next phase of remodeling and Dan Weber GC will be helping with that as well. I am redoing 3 bathrooms and the basement flooring. I will not get bids from any other company because I am so very pleased with the quality work and responsiveness of Dan's company.

We outlined to Dan a very strict schedule for completion of these jobs and he made sure this was achieved. His group of workers were always punctual, courteous, trustworthy and friendly. They made sure to check if any details has not been firmed up and got on with the work in a very timely manner. The workmanship was of a high standard and if anything was not to our liking Dan made sure that we got what we wanted! This was exemplified when we identified a leak in the bathroom, which took several visits to resolve. However, Dan always listened to what we had to say and made sure to get across that he would get to the bottom of it and fix it no matter what it took. We are very happy with all the work that Dan and his team have done and we will not hesitate to use him again in the future!
Description of Work: 1. Total bathroom gut (down to studs) and refit (bathroom 6x8 feet) - $4500 2. Demolition and rebuild of wet bar area (remove old cabinets, re-dry wall and install new cabinets) - $4500 3. Replace wall of windows (essentially 3 sets of French Doors), replace band board below windows and re-attach existing deck - $5000

Dan and his team were awesome to work with and competitively priced. We had to scale back our project because of expenses caused by a family illness, and Dan worked closely with us to change our project, tackling everything we wanted complete. They removed a non-functioning brick fireplace, fixed drywall, laid new beautiful flooring, and built a great frame around our movie screen as well as a column to house the projector and receiver components. They completed all work on schedule, were incredibly pleasant and friendly, and took great care of the house. I can't wait to get them out again to do more work for us and I highly recommend them.

Dan came out last Saturday to look at our deck and bathroom and gave us a quote on both jobs. We agreed to the work in both areas and Mike and Aaron not only showed up bright and early Tuesday morning to start both, but Dan arranged to order and deliver all the wood for the decking which we had planned on picking up. Two days later, both jobs are done and they look incredible! On the first day, Mike worked on the deck while Aaron prepared the bathroom by removing the toilet and vanity and removing the old tile floor. On the second day, Mike finished the deck and laid the new tile. Today, Mike came back to grout the tile and reinstall the toilet and a new vanity, vanity top and faucet we bought. Everything looks incredible! We are so pleased with the work and we will definitely be using this company again for the many other projects we want to finish. I cannot recommend them highly enough!

Dan and all his employees, and sub-contractors, were prompt and professional. They were polite and always respectful that our family was living in a construction zone, and made their best effort to be quick and clean. Dan listened to my needs and dreams in the basement, and together we came up with a plan that spoke to design and budget. Dan was in constant communication with me, and put a professional and communicative employee in charge of my project. Ryan was also a pleasure to work with, and he communicated with all the sub-contractors. The project was completed in a timely manner, and we love our new basement bedroom, full bath, living area, laundry room and storage area. Dan and Ryan doubled our living space, and the finished space is beautiful. My breakdown would be: Excellent communication - when they would be there, when they would send sub-contractors, when things changed (always due to the severe weather) Excellent product - the finished spaces in the basement are beautiful and done with high quality products Expert advice - I know what I want it to look like in the end, Dan and Ryan helped guide that process with expert advice. Honesty - I always found what Dan and Ryan said to be true and thoughtful I would definitely hire Dan Weber Contracting again. We are very happy with Dan, Ryan, subs and the finished space!

This experience was wonderful! Dan and his team were professional, punctual, efficient, polite, knowledgeable and a joy to work with. There were no surprises. The only delay was due to us and the picking of the backsplash. Dan did not "hound" us about it, but was patient and available as soon as it came in. We had our own person make, deliver, and install the cabinets and Dan was fine with that. Both my husband and I would (and have) highly recommend him to anyone. His price was very reasonable and worth every penny. We will definitely use him again.

I called Dan Weber Construction to get a bid on removing a wall between kitchen/living room. Dan was able to come by on that next Monday evening. Review of project took about 15 minutes and was followed up with bid emailed about 3 days later. Reviewing several bids, reading reviews of past customers we decided to go with Dan Weber Construction not only for price but, as he was very easy to talk with , he addressed all of our questions and concerns. Dan addressed some of the outcomes of removing the wall and installing header with regards to the wood floor meeting tile floor at kitchen. Talking with him I could see that he held high standards of work ethic, showed great pride regards to the quality of work. Dan and his crew showed up promptly and one time each morning. (when they said he would be there at 7 they were) Dan & his crew were very polite to our children and were very comfortable with them working in my home. They were able to get the wiring relocated, wall removed, and header installed now the kitchen and living room has a very open concept feel and we are extremely happy. His communication throughout the job was exceptionable and he made sure we were as happy as we had hoped. Dan was more than willing to go the extra mile and would definitely hire him again. I would like to note that I had multiple projects going on at the same time and scheduling and promptness played a big part in making everything go smoothly. Dan was willing to help on a side project that I had going and literally I cannot express how Dan is more than willing to help! The next project we do we will definitely be using Dan?s company again.

Dan and his crew were a pleasure to work with. Dan was one of 3 highly recommended contractors that we got off Angie's list and we felt comfortable with all 3. Dan's bid ended up being very competitive but that was not the only reason we went with him. He was very professional ,enthusiastic and knowledgeable and we just felt confident in his skills. His people were very nice, a shoot out to Kenny who had to take down 3 layers of wall paper. The timing was as expected, everything came in on budget and he didn't try to sell us anything we didn't want.. He steered us to a guy (Rob) he works with for cabinets and the cabinets turned out great. Rob was also a pleasure to work with. . Dan always addressed any concerns we had during the construction and got back to us in a timely manner and resolved any issues we had. The kitchen looks great and we are so happy with it! We love it! We will definitely use Dan Weber Construction again for future projects and we are so glad we picked Dan to remodel our kitchen. Thanks Dan and Dan's crew!
Description of Work: Dan remodeled our kitchen. It was totally gutted. He took down part of a wall between the kitchen and dining room, put in new flooring, installed new cabinets, new subway tile back splash, painted the walls, trim and pantry door, installed our appliances, installed some new outlets and installed a new light fixture. He also put up a towel rack in our bathroom for no extra charge and a few other little extra things we asked him to do.

Dan and his crew were fabulous!! We had them in and out of our house at times for 6 months doing different phases of our remodel. First we had Mike, Dan's floor guy, install wood look porcelain tile throughout the first floor. Mike's 'the bomb' on flooring...and more! Dan had him move into our half bath and he gutted it and installed more ceramic tile, a new toilet and vanity. Next was the full bath on the second floor....complete gut and remodel. Both bathrooms are beautiful. Dan and his men showed that they are capable in so many different areas in our home. They installed bi-fold, by-pass and pre-hung 6 panel doors, base board around the floor and molding around the doors and new maple windowsills throughout. New garbage disposal and touch faucet, built a cabinet into a half-wall and I'm sure I'm forgetting a lot of others (sorry Dan!). We had a great working relationship with all of the guys. We had about zero disagreements.... If we saw something differently than they did, they were happy to go with our ideas. And if we didn't know how we wanted something done, Dan would come up with an awesome idea! What says it all is when Dan left today for the last time, he said 'If you ever need ANYTHING, call and I'll be there!" I know he meant it. It's nice to have someone trustworthy to do your work!!!! Thanks Guys!!

First of all, Dan is very good and will work with you on a design. He strikes an excellent balance between listening to your needs, understanding and accepting your ideas, and providing suggestions and recommendations. It was a true collaboration, which resulted in phenomenal results. Dan also has the experience and contacts to get us with the right suppliers. Using his recommendations and relationships, we were able to get discounts on flooring, cabinetry and hardware. The process of the construction went very well. He and his team are well organized and communicate regularly, often on a daily basis. In our situation, we had a number of scheduling goals as we were moving into the house and Dan worked to try to get as much done as possible prior to our move in date. From there, his team kept the project moving and addressed any issues or concerns that we encountered quickly and very professionally. The bottom line is that sometimes it is hard to find contractors that are fully accountable for what they and their team do... Dan takes that accountability - and accepts it for his team, and suppliers (when others often would just point the finger). We have been very happy to have worked with him and are quite certain that we will use his company again for future projects we are already drawing up. Our advice would be to always check into more that one contractor when looking for a project, but we are confident once you do, Dan will be the best choice for your project.
Description of Work: We were looking for a contractor that could finish a basement for us as well as support us in a few other projects in the main part of our house. In total, Dan and his team finished our basement, changed out kitchen and two bathroom cabinets, converted a closet to a mud-room coat/cabinet unit, and changed out wooden spindles for wrought iron on our stairs.

Dan did a great job and communicated with us the whole time and worked really hard to get the project done before the holidays which we appreciated. Certain changes needed to be made as we got into the project and Dan was always willing to discuss and find a resolution. We did not care for the original doors on the shelves and Dan was willing to change them out, no problem. The work on the mantel is beautiful and crown molding is great. Dan is great to work with and really has the customer in mind and giving them what they want with very reasonable pricing. We would highly recommend using Dan and his team again.

Project went great and Dan responded to all of our concerns right away. If we did not like the look of something in progress he was willing to make changes to get us what we wanted for the overall look. He is very responsive and communicates on a daily basis and open to all questions or concerns from the homeowner. There was even a spot on the half wall that Dan reworked on his own because he was not happy with the finished look. We did not have a problem with it but he had his own quality control and reworked on his own. We will work with Dan again on future projects.

One was a complete gut job (right down to the studs) and the other was replacing a shower (while having to fix up the support structure around it. Dan's bid was competitive with the other bids I received and he was both prompt and courteous. During the work he and his employees let me know what was in progress and what was planned for each day. He also spotted problems that I had missed and fixed them as part of the contract. I was pleased with both the final product and the work process. If you are looking for a good contractor to work with, then I highly recommend you give Dan Weber and his team a call.

The workmanship was SUPERB! The team of carpenters assigned to our job, Mike and Ken, were fantastic, exceptionally professional, knowledgeable and very courteous! They took care to remove and number all of our high-end baseboards and didn't break a single one! All of the old carpeting and floor tiles in the adjacent bathroom were removed and disposed. Mike and Ken showed up promptly at 7:15am every morning and always took the time to ask if we had any questions or concerns before starting work for the day. Mike and Ken worked very hard to make sure the floor was completely level and that the tiles were perfectly installed. Following the installation and grouting of the tiles, Mike and Ken re-installed all of the baseboards, taking the time to fill all the nail holes and caulk all the edges. We were very pleased with the workmanship and will definitely call Dan Weber Construction for any other construction projects we may have in the future.
Description of Work: We had planned to remove the carpeting throughout the lower level of our home and have it replaced with porcelain tile. After reading the positive reviews on Angie's List about Dan Weber Construction, we decided to give them a call. I left a message for the company owner, Dan, and received a return phone that same day. Dan was able to come to our home that same week to look at the area we hoped to have tiled. He arrived exactly on time, was very polite and knowledgeable. We had other companies provide us with quote, but chose to hire Dan because of all the positive reviews his company received as well as the competitive price he quoted. Dan was able to work with our schedule and began the job two weeks later. Dan's company removed and disposed of all the existing carpeting in a very large living area and bedroom as well as ceramic tile in the bathroom on that same floor. In its place, they installed and grouted new porcelain tile. Approx. total square footage of tile installed was 1,200 square feet. The company removed the existing baseboards and re-installed them following completion of the job. We provided the tiles and grout.

Dan was very responsive during the procurement process and always accessible which is a top reason I choose service providers. He gave us our quote on a Saturday which worked great with my lifestyle since I travel on a weekly basis for business. After we decided to use Dan for the services I was able to reach him on Sunday to finalize the details and to move forward with the project. Dan had someone on site Tuesday and the two jobs were completed early Wednesday. During the process Dan was very attentive to our needs and made sure we understood the steps and processes to come. After completion a follow up call came Wednesday afternoon making sure we didn't have an concerns or needs that weren't met. Overall the service was excellent and the finished product was even better. We will be contacting Dan in the future for larger projects.

My home was damaged after a drunk driver ran his SUV through my covered porch and into the front windows. After obtaining several bids, Dan Weber came in with the most competitive price, and had the best referral. In order to keep costs lower I asked to have some of the undamaged siding re-used on my porch, and although other providers had told me that was not possible, Dan was happy to assist. In all, one main support for my porch was essentially rebuilt, all of the siding interior and out, as well as the inside front wall were re-sided, either with my left over materials, or new matching siding. Two brand new windows, insulation, drywall, mud, tape, custom sills, and decorative bead board were put inside. Those are just the original bid items, Dan and his crew also put in a third window, also on the front of my house (I wanted them to match), hung not only two new lamps to replace the damaged ones on the exterior of the porch, but also a new pendant light inside the porch, and ordered and installed shutters (where there had been none). I was told there was no problem with adding any of these items to the list, and they were done with the same excellent skill as the rest. Everything looks amazing, simply being able to look out the front of my house again is a wonder. I would highly recommend Dan Weber General construction to anyone looking to have work done on their home. He, and his team, were kind and courteous, skilled in their trade, and very easy to work with.

Installation was flawless and turned out beautiful. He has great attention to detail and made sure additional steps were performed for sealing before and after grouting because it was a stone material. Very nice and professional group of people.

I have decorative cedar trim on the front of my home. Dan and his crew of one replaced the worn-out boards and painted the new boards to match the existing trim. I was required to supply the paint (I have had work done before; this is standard). They just left; the work looks perfect. Dan has been a pleasure to deal with. The only B grade is from the fact that it was a smaller job and I understand that I was a bit lower on the priority list and I'm fine with that. Everything else was top-notch and I already have his firm giving me bids on other work around my home--
