Description of Work: Replaced all the rollers on my single side 9' door and greased both doors, as I also have a double that they worked on at least twice over the past several years and did good work. The doors are at least 18 years old so the doors and motor are a little noisier then the new ones, but there is a big difference in the noise level after they are finished, so I'm pleased with that

Oops…I’m not sure this was Precision Garage Door. Our records show we came to your house not in April, but on March 14, 2015 and provided estimates ranging from $79 to $1,100. In any case, I completely understand your frustration. During our 20 point safety inspection, our technicians may discover worn parts that work, but do not pass the inspection. We provide written upfront pricing for all parts and strive to be crystal clear with our customers, answering all their questions and concerns.

Description of Work: replaced 2 springs and 4 pulleys on 1 door, and added a metal brace across the door. The brace was $65.00 and they said the door needed it. I am not sure that is true but they would not fix the door unless the brace was put on. It did not seem too unreasonable so I agreed. The door was fixed within 15 minutes.

Hello and thank you for your review. The “technical” term for the brace what was installed is a strut. Struts are mandatory on all garage doors that are operated by an automatic garage door opener. The purpose of the strut is to prevent damage to the garage door panel(s) that results from the pulling of the garage door opener. As garage door parts become worn or weak, additional strain is placed on the garage door opener, thus the panels too. Our technician’s safety inspection identified a broken extension spring, cracks in the first and second garage door panels, and worn pulleys. He provided three repair options ranging from $187 to $387. We appreciate your business and are happy that we were able to resolve the problem with your garage door.

Description of Work: They came to service our door and were very helpful identifying the issue and offering several solutions including just replacement of the sensor. They did help us know how old the door was (having been placed the system 20 years ago). We opted to just replace though no pressure to do so and the new system is beautiful with many convenient features. They had helped us with a broken spring a few years back with the same excellent service. They served us on a Saturday with NO added service fee for the weekend. Definitely plan to work with just them in the future for any garage door issues.
