G & P Concrete Inc

Contracted G&P to pour an aggregate extension on our driveway. Their bid was in line and prior Angies List reviews positive so we contracted with them for the project. Everything was done in a timely and professional manner. The project is completed and we would absolutely consider using them again in the future.

It turns out that the company didn't do the type of work I needed so the didn't come out to provide an estimate (totally understandable). They were prompt, courteous and professional in their email correspondence.

The team arrived at the scheduled time. There were 4 men who worked the job approximately 11-12 hours. The job was completed in 1 day. The guys were pleasant to work with and kept me up to date every step of the way. Being home all day made it easy and interesting to watch the progression of having concrete installed. There was minimal mess involved. They took out 3 small bushes that I requested. And they tried to keep the areas surrounding the driveway and sidewalk that had to be dug up to a minimum although there were areas that still needed to be filled with quite a bit of dirt. Fortunately, I already had a pile of dirt from some previous work that needed a home. One other item was a little minor damage to the stoop when tearing out the private walk (due to some rebar which was unforeseen). It was pointed out to me immediately, we discussed options and G&P offered to build a step which repaired the issue and looks very nice. This is a good example of these guys great communication and the company standing by their work. We are very happy with the end result of our new driveway and sidewalk with its border and broom finish and would highly recommend G&P to anyone who is looking to have concrete work done at their home.

I called for an estimate after finding good reviews on Angie's list. They were unable to accommodate my work schedule, but told me they would have another of their employees call me for an early morning appointment. On the day of the appointment, the worker called to say he had a death in his family and would need to reschedule...I certainly understood. But after one week without a call back, I called and left a message at the main number. JC called apologetically later that afternoon. He offered a time on that upcoming Saturday which was a day I had originally requested. JC showed up early that morning, and was very friendly and accommodating. He gave a full and complete estimate for the two different prices I requested. He was upfront with what they would and would not cover in terms of cleanup and lawn repair. All in all, I was pleased with their service. I understand that unforeseen things happen, and that due to these unforeseen circumstances you can sometimes fall through the cracks - JC was prompt in correcting the error and I would use them to do the work on my driveway should I decide to move forward.

I specifically made the appointment time so that my husband would be available to be in on the conversation. The estimator showed up 30 minutes early which was inconvenient and resulted in somewhat of a waste of my time since I know nothing about concrete or construction. That being said, the crew did an excellent job in the removal of the porch and sidewalk and the new stamped concrete looks great with a more appealing curve to the sidewalk. The demolition was done the first day, the new pour on the second day, and they came back the next day to put on the glaze. It looks terrific and I would highly recommend this company.

They were really nice people and couldn’t have been nicer. I did not go ahead with them because my area got hit by the tornado causing a lot of damage just three months after they gave me the quote and a part of it was because of the cost as well. I am not sure if I want to do stamping or not and I have something different on the pool decorate now. I have put them at the back and dealing with other things right now. I had quotes from other as well but theirs was better.

JC was fantastic and made two trips to my home to provide an estimate for my project. My home is on a steep hill and has very limited access to the backyard. JC originally bid the work requiring access through my neighbor's yard and pumping the concrete from the street. My neighbor did not want his yard damaged, so JC returned to provide an alternate solution. He expanded his bid to include excavating and creating a ramp through some existing landscaping. I ultimately decided that having a backyard patio was not worth the effort or expense, but JC did all he could to help.

They were very professional and I would use them again.

Quality workmanship. Completed in timely manner. Had to call and remind them to start the job. New patio door not protected during the work. Fire pit had a chipped stone that was replaced after 2 phone calls to remind them.

Our driveway was crumbling and needed to be replaced. We also wanted a small amount of concrete tore out in our backyard. G&P returned my call for a bid quickly and arrived on time. I had the bid in my hand when they left. G&P were very good to work with for our project. Once we signed the contract they were in contact with us with updates on schedule time due to weather delays, and were prompt when a schedule was set. G&P tore out our driveway and sidewalks on the first day, then poured new the next. Crew was very polite and professional. Would highly recommended them for concrete work.

Our experience was extraordinary. The contractor provided a quick, efficient, easily understood bid; modified the bid for the added scope of work we wanted. The arrived on time, had plenty of workmen for the job and, most importantly, cleaned up thoroughly after the job was completed. I was at home the entire time watching their work and they did the prep, rebar placement, compacting EXACTLY the way we discussed in the contract. Their workman were very efficient and kept the road clear as traffic moved up and down the neighborhood. There was a small follow up item we requested; they agreed and took care of that at no charge. I would highly recommend them for residential concrete work! We will definitely use them again for future work. The neighbors have sought several quotes from them to do their drives, walkways, once they saw how nicely ours was done and how nicely it turned out.

JP showed up to give an estimate and spent quite a bit of time talking with me and answering questions. He also allowed me to tape record our conversation because my husband is handicapped and was not outside. One pulse, is they would take care of getting county permits if needed. Also, no deposit was required. I could pay by check or credit card. We got an estimate from 4 other vendors that I found on Angie's List. All were very knowledgeable. We decided to go with G & P because of price and their desire to provide the best customer service they could... We could not be happier! The owner, Shawn, showed up early on the day that was scheduled and worked with his crew till around 5 pm tearing out the old, framing, and pouring new concrete. They were especially careful to not damage a new aggregate sidewalk poured by another company 1 year ago. We liked the fact that they used rebar, wire mesh and fiberglass particals in the concrete. No other vendor used all 3. We were also impressed with his contract. It was very thorough and spelled out every detail. Mnay of the other vendor contracts included very little and weren't as impressive.... Have already reccommended G & P to our mail lady!

00Workers arrived in a timely fashion, and stayed busy while here. Walk and steps look great. Pop-up position is not so great, with water tending to pool from that exit point rather than run off. Cleanup was a bit hasty, something holding some residual cement and water was dumped out in the grass, leaving a thin shell of concrete there - about 1/4" or so in some places.

1. Went fine! Came on scheduled day, made suggestions to make the job look better and progress faster. Shawn and Austin stayed late to complete job. Sidewalk looks great (my wife is very happy!). 2. Fill job went very well! Removed old tie wall and started fill very early (6:30 a.m.). Hauled away old timbers at no extra charge. Shawn smoothed, graded, and packed every load as it was delivered. It looks great! And Yes, my wife it happy with the way it looks.

JC was very professional and came out twice to give me quotes for two different concrete projects. He explained all the options and their cost and was very responsive to my requests for information. I ended up going with a different contractor because his bid was about a thousand dollars lower and he could work my small job in earlier than G & P.

The representative provided the estimate within minutes. I was very impressed with their professionalism. This is the only company I contacted because they were well rated on Angie's list and I liked the reviews. I decided not to move forward with the work due to the cost. This is not because the cost was out of line. It was more because I'm currently unemployed and simply felt it was higher than I could afford. If I do decide to move forward with this project in the future, I would not hesitate contacting them again to do the work.

G & P Concrete, Inc. responded to us promptly and they did pretty good. They came out and they did the quoting process very quick. They talked to us professionally but they stopped when they saw the brick overhanging the foundation. They recommended that we get some masonry work done before they did their work.

Left a voice message on April 25 requesting an estimate for concrete work I need performed. No reply so I tried again on April 30th and as of May 3rd I still have not received a call back. Business must be booming to ignore potential customers. I'll move on to someone else.

Called this company and I had this company come out for an estimate. They were prompt and the man was very polite. I was very favorably impressed. I am still in the process of deciding if I am going to use them.

The experience was good. They were very responsive. They came by 2 or 3 times because we changed our mind couple of times on what we wanted done. Each time we did, they came by again and went over the changes. Then they rebid and gave us a new estimate of the work to be done. We were satisfied with the response, how fast they got back to us and everything. We went with them because we found them on Angie’s List, to begin with. We did contact some people they had done work for across the street from us. They were satisfied with their work. We think they will probably be a decent company to do business with. It’s just that their bid was higher than the people we ended up going with. We decided to go with a different company. The estimate was about $14,000.

They showed up on time, gave us some books to look through for examples of their work while he measured everything. Was able to provide the estimate right there on the spot.

I was very impressed with how well organized the whole job was. The crew arrived on Monday and tore out the old driveway, porch and the deck at the back of the house. They poured and stamped the concrete the very next day. Wednesday, they power washed off the black overlay. The only reason it wasn't sealed the same day was due to rain. I absolutely love the finished product. I highly recommend this company.
