Description of Work: A part on my Maytag dishwasher was defective. Kevin replaced it and also 2 belts on my Maytag washer. I felt that he was extremely professional and very competent. I would definitely call him in the future for any appliance repair.

The price may seem high but it was primarily parts. I did double check the price of parts and his prices were fair.

+ -1 moreWe found Mr. Kiser on Angie's List - we called him on a Friday - our refrigerator was not dispensing ice - he returned my husbandand quot;s phone call and suggested a few things to try to fix it ourselves - when that didn't work - we scheduled him to come to our home on the following Monday. He was on time and very professional and friendly and quick to fix the frig!

+ -1 moreIn addition to fixing out refridgerator without the need for us to buy and expensive replacement part, he was very friendly and took the time to explain what he was doing and why. He also fixed a drawer in the refridgerator that was causing us problems. He charged us only for the service call, and it was very reasonable. We were very pleased with his work and with how friendly he was. We will call him again with any other problems that develop.
Description of Work: Kevin was very friendly and came to our home the day that I called him to fix a mystery sound that our refridgerator was making. He was able to fix it without having us buy a very expensive replacement part. He also gave us a few hints and tricks for not developing the same or other problems with our refridgerator.

+ -1 moreKevin was very responsive. I left a message for him and he called me back within 30 minutes. I had a backup fridge so I didn't need him the same day but he was willing to adjust his schedule if needed. Showed up on the day scheduled, a little late, but not a problem. He did call to tell me he was running late. He had a good idea what it was but went thru all the possibilities to make sure he didn't miss something. Gave me a call as soon as the new control panel came in. Showed up when he was supposed to and installed. Working like a new fridge. No complaints. Kevin was very personable. Price was fair. I would definitely use again.

+ -1 moreMy overall experience was fantastic? He came to look at my dryer the same day I called. The parts were ordered that afternoon and two days later when the parts came in he came back to the house to install. Kevin was extremely nice and honest about everything he was doing.

Description of Work: The seal to the door of my freezer had gotten mashed down and was causing ice to form around the door. He revitalized the seal so that it didn't leak air.

+ -1 moreI discovered that our basement refrigerator / freezer had quit working late in the afternoon and loaded it contents into our other refrig. and freezer. When called the next morning Kevin offered to disrupt his schedule and come right away if we were without another refrig. to keep our food from spoiling, but since we didn't have an emergency he came the next afternoon as scheduled and had the refrig. going in a short time. He was very professional, yet took the time to be personable and polite. He cleaned up before he left instead of leaving that to me even though I offered to do it. His service charge was very competitive, being less than others I called. He will get my business in the future and a recommendation to friends and family.
Description of Work: Replaced compressor relay and overload switch on our 12 year old Amana refrigerator.

+ -1 moreHe explained that the freon had leaked off and that these new refrigerator have and quot;sealedand quot; lines inside the frig, so it's not possible to and quot;rechargeand quot; them. He suggested that we advertise the frig explaining that it no longer was cooling and that maybe someone would buy it for parts. We did exactly as he said. Sure enough, the ad wasn't on Craigslist for 30 minutes when someone called and bought it. So, we got the refrigerator out of here and got our service fee back in doing so. I highly recommend Kevin. We'll call him if we ever have problems with appliances, heating or A/C.
Description of Work: Kevin was wonderful! When we called him and told him that our refrigerator was not cold anymore, he did troubleshooting with us to see if it could fix itself before he would come. That was great because he was trying to save us expense. He "penciled us in" in the meantime, while we tried what he had suggested. The troubleshooting did not change anything so he came the next day as promised. He tried everything. There were no errors on the console. The compressor was working and the fans were working, so only solution was the freon was gone and it could not be replaced.

My kitchen was flooding because of a problem with my dishwasher, he got in there figured out that our dishwasher wasn't properly secured and was cutting a hole in the water hose every time it moved. He also found that it wasn't grounded properly. He replaced the hose, cut a bigger hole for it, he secured the dishwasher so it wouldn't happen again and would also raise it so it wasn't sitting on the compressor at the bottom and grounded it for real this time. He was honest and didn't go looking for and quot;extraand quot; work to pad his pockets, granted he did find extra things but since he was already there and they were small he fixed them, he didn't charge me extra for them. I'm a student with a limited budget and he really did his best to keep the price affordable. I am definitely going to have him come back for other things around the house I've been wanting to get done. It's a huge relief when you find a repairman you can trust and that to me is priceless.

Description of Work: Told Kevin things were freezing in the refrigerated portion of our refrigerator and he said it was probably something with the damper door or motor. He came out and took the assembly off and the damper door was broken. He proceeded to order the part and came out the next day to replace the assembly.

+ -1 moreKevin not only did an excellent job repairing the washer and dryer, he went out of his way to make my parents comfortable and to make the whole issue easier for them. This was greatly appreciated!
Description of Work: I was recently visiting my parents in the Springfield area (and I additionally subscribe to Angie's list for that area to assist them). My mother had been complaining for weeks that her washer and dryer had several issues but trying to locate a service person and deal with the issues about repair was more than she felt like dealing with and she had just put it off. Since for medical reasons, she does washing daily it was creating more stress for her. While I was at home, I checked Angie's list for service companies in that area and All Appliance Repair had multiple outstanding reviews. I contacted Kevin to come and evaluate the problem. He quickly determined the issues and ordered the parts. He even suggested things such as switching a broken knob with an unused one so as not to spend unnecessary money. Very importantly, he put my parents completely at ease and they felt very comfortable working with him. When the next morning we discovered a control was not working versus the knob he promptly ordered the part. Since the controller meant the dryer did not work at all, this created some issue for my parents. Kevin came out late on Friday after the part came in and repaired the washer and dryer so they would not have to go the weekend without doing laundry. This effort was greatly appreciated.

+ -1 moreI called Kevin for a dishwasher repair. He returned my call promptly and we discussed the intermittent problem I was having. He took down the model # and promised to call back with prices on replacement parts for what he suspected was the issue. He did call back with parts information and thoroughly explained labor charges, plus the pros and cons of fixing versus replacing the unit. I told him I'd get back with him after I talked with my husband. Kevin lives in Strafford and we live in Mt. Vernon which is a pretty good distance apart. My neighbor suggested a repairman close by so we ended up having him come out. Both men had identical labor/trip charges. After talking with Kevin 3 times, I have no doubt he is a very honest, fair, capable appliance technician and we will consider using him in the future.

+ -1 moreWindow a/c unit in sunroom had not been used in a while and failed to blow cold when started recently. Kevin tested most everything to rule out trouble. We were pleasantly surprised when the unit fired up when contacts got cleaned in the process. No new parts (no waste of money) were needed after all. Some repairmen might have replaced parts unnecessarily. Not Kevin. Thank you Kevin.

You don't find many people who take pride in their work these days, but Kevin is one that does. We will definitely call him again when we need appliance or HVAC repair.
Description of Work: Our oven ran up to over 600° and the fan would not shut off. Based on reviews from this site, we called Kevin. He came out the next day to look at the oven. He had to order a part, but it came in within a few days.
