Description of Work: Furnace was not working. Called for service. Repair person came out and the repair was completed. The cause of the problem was quickly identified for the service person. They has the part on the truck.

+ -1 moreWe have used Scott Lee for 9 years for maintenance on our 3 zones of heating and a/c. This was the only incident in which I was really angry at them. It was a very hot summer when the a/c went out and I was promised that the part would be in in 5 days. On the day they were to be out--I was told we had the first appointment they did not show. A secretary told me when I called that the part still wasnt in and she did not have me down for an appointment. I was furious because it was so hot and our other two units could not cool the upstairs where we sleep. The head of service called and gave me $200 off the price of my next service contract (that usually runs about $425.) He was very apologetic and did everything he could to not lose me as a client. I am conflicted on how to grade them because in 9 years this was the only real issue I had with them. I still use them for my maintenance of the units.
Description of Work: Our air conditioner went out due to a hole in a part somewhere. An expensive part was needed and had to be ordered.

+ -1 moreThis company was the company who originally installed the furnace, so their phone number was on hand. This was our first experience with them. They were prompt and courteous. The work was completed quickly and efficiently. We havent had any problems since. Very happy customer.
Description of Work: The furnace was not heating during cold weather. They had to replace a part.

+ -1 moreTHE RECEPTIONIST WAS POLITE AND PARTS DEPARTMENT WAS EXTREMELY HELPFUL. THE TECHNICIAN WAS VERY PERSONABLE, ON TIME AND WORK WAS COMPLETED IN LESS TIME THAN ANTICIPATED. THE OVERALL EXPERIENCE WAS GREAT AND THEIR PRICE BEAT TWO OTHER COMPANIES BY $150-$400.

+ -1 moreTHE PHONE IS POLITELY ANSWERED BY A REAL PERSON. APPOINTMENTS ARE ALWAYS KEPT, AND KEPT ON TIME. TECHNICIAN IS PROFESSIONAL, POLITE, HELPFUL, AND EFFICIENT. I WOULD NOT CALL ANY ONE ELSE FOR FURNACE PROBLEMS. I CANNOT REALLY ADDRESS THE ISSUE OF PRICING, AS SERVICE REPAIR CALLS ARE NEVER INEXPENSIVE, AND I HAVE NO BASIS FOR COMPARISON. IN ADDITION, IT IS MY OPINION THAT FURNACE REPAIR IS NOT A GOOD PLACE TO BE TOO CONCERNED WITH PRICE. CARBON MONOXIDE FROM AN IMPROPERLY MAINTAINED FURNACE IS A MAJOR CONCERN TO ME. FURTHER, WHEN YOUR A/C GOES OUT IN JULY WHEN THE TEMP IS 99, OR THE HEAT IS NOT WORKING IN JANUARY; I WANT A COMPANY I CAN TRUST, AND RELY ON.
Description of Work: I HAVE USED SCOTT-LEE FOR YEARLY MAINTENANCE ON OUR FURNACE. ALSO THIS PAST WINTER, CALLED THEM WHEN THE FURNACE DID NOT WORK (DEFECTIVE THERMOSTAT PURCHASED BY US AT BIG BOX HARDWARE STORE TO BLAME.) AT THAT TIME, THEY ISOLATED THE PROBLEM, OFFERED ME CHOICES ON A REPLACEMENT THERMOSTAT, AND QUICKLY AND CORRECTLY INSTALLED NEW THERMOSTAT.
