This enterprise went seamlessly. The roofers were hard working, committed and involved to a man. When they left, there was a beautiful new roof and the old one gone. And 100% clean up. An inspector called on me a day or so after, and performed a detailed inspection of the job. It was not a wam bam, thank you mam inspection either. The inspector spent a lot of time on the roof and then discussed the results with me. I could not find anything to say bad about this operation. The discussion as to price and other aspects of the negotiation was above board and completely without BS. Richards is a class act and I'd use him again in a heartbeat.

I never knew they were here, which was good! They completed the removal of two layers of roofing and three turbines and installed the new shingles and ridge vents in 24 hrs. They began the project in the afternoon and completed it by noon the next day. When I came home the first day, the old roof shingles had been completely removed and the roof prepped for the new shingles. No sign of debris anywhere in the yard. The next afternoon, I had a beautiful new roof and a clean yard... Painless!!

The bid I was given was a "Will Not Exceed" bid because there was no way to know what they were getting into with my leak. Because of that, I was expecting to pay the price it was not to exceed. To my surprise, I was charged the minimum amount on the quote! Along with the new shingles, a suspect board was replaced along with a few other things to be sure the leak did not reappear. I could not be happier with my experience and will definitely use them again!!

They did a great job and the end product looks beautiful. The crew was easy to work with and cleaned up nicely after them. Fast forward two years as we are attempting sell the house. The inspector mentioned that a couple of shingles were either defective or installed incorrectly. I called Richard’s Roofing and he was out here very quickly. He inspected it again and said he didn’t find anything but sent a crew out to replace 2 shingles even though there was nothing wrong. He replaced them to make sure it would pass final inspection. I had another independent inspector come out who commented on what a great job Richard’s did with the roof. I really appreciated his customer service and getting to me quickly.

It was a great experience. a team arrived, worked for 3 days in the heat, removed two layers of old roofing, replaced plywood where needed, and installed a new roof, continuous ridge venting, and gutter guards. Great people, very neat, pleasant and professional. i would recommend them to anyone.

Kevin gave the estimate, and Jeff came to do the work a few weeks later. He first removed the old siding, and then rebuilt the frame for the flashing and new siding. He added white facia to the window frames, so that it looked absolutely great!

Richards Roofing exceeded my expectations. They did exactly what I asked, and provided me with a written report stating the roof had no current issues or problems, and also provided me with the estimate and approx. timeline for replacing the roof. They did not try to sell me anything I didn't need. They provided me with their best estimate of how many years were left on the current roof, which was 2 to 3 years remaining. I thought their estimate for replacing the roof, $12,500, was very reasonable considering the home has a relatively steep pitch to the roof, and it's a 2 story good sized home. They even did not charge me for coming out on site, to perform this condition assessment and report for me. I am planning on using Richards Roofing when time comes to replace the roof. This is another good example of how Angie's List quickly allows me to find a competent vendor who is responsive and professional. Thank you Richards Roofing.

Terrific. From the initial estimate to the finish they did wonderful work. From their representative Kevin, who discovered that my window had been damaged by the storm (myself and the insurance adjuster had both missed it) This discovery yielded me a new window from the insurance company. When the crew showed up and we were told who the leadman was and his contact information in case we had any questions and they replaced the roof in sections. Of course, it rained the first night of replacement, but we had no worries that night listening to the rain since they had only stripped off a portion of the old roof until the next day when the job was completed. I have had roofs replaced before and was expecting to spend the next three or four grass cuttings picking up nails and pieces of shingles. Turned out that I got two nails and just a handful of shingles. These people put on a terrific roof and cleaned up after themselves very professionally. We are happy campers, worth every dime we spent. We are using these folks to replace our damaged siding and downspouts.

The price quoted was very competative. They answered all questions and brought samples to the house. Their crew was professional and left the property clean every night. I am very pleased with thi finished results and know I have a company that will respond quickly if there is ever a problem.

They did the job on time and with no problems. We would definitely use them again if we need further work done.

They were very professional from start to finish. The person who came out to see what needed to be done was prompt and thorough. Because of the age of the house, there were some issues with how the windows should be installed. They explained everything so there were no surprises. When I had any questions, or in one case changes I wanted, I got a very prompt response. There was a minor problem with some sealant and it was fixed quickly. It was apparent that they want their customers to be satisfied with the results. Because the old windows leaked so much, there were a number of window sills that needed to be replaced. The ones they made were exactly what I wanted and they look great. Not too long ago, one of my children broke a window. I called and they ordered the window from the manufacturer (at a much lower price than I expected). I was only charged the cost of the window because it just needed to be slipped in. Someone came by and in a few minutes the new window was in and the old one taken away.

Richards Roofing and Exterior Inc. were courteous and professional. They provided a quote in a timely manner and scheduled the work as soon as i gave them the go ahead. Their office staff was especially helpful in providing the paperwork i needed to support the near term sale of my home. I will certainly recommend their organization and use them again if the opportunitity presents itself.

I had an extremely wonderful experience with this company. I have never dealt with a company as conscientious and thorough as them. They did a beautiful job and were wonderful people. It is an old house and a very big job. I had a lot of problems with the old siding, which they had to remove. They hand hammer and caulk everything down to the smallest detail. I found them on Angie's List. I recommend them to others for siding, shutters, or anything like that. I became friends with them, and they were so accommodating.

I am satisfied with their work, very much so. I appreciate their honesty and integrity.

When our house was built in 1924, it didn't originally have the second floor gutters; they were added later. Because the fascia wasn't vertical, the gutters that were added weren't angled properly and didn't catch the rainfall properly. This caused water damage, including rotting the wood moulding behind the gutters. I asked Richards Roofing to let me know when they would come, so I could be there to talk to them about our gutter issues, and they were happy to do so. Kevin from Richards Roofing took time to examine and photograph our gutters and came up with some options to solve our gutter problem. We chose the option I described above. There were three different crews to do the work on parts of three different days. They are specialized and really know what they're doing. Since the gutter work was performed, we've had a few hard rains, and we've noticed that the new gutter is handling the water perfectly. Now I wish we'd had them take care of our gutters at the back of our house, too, but we'll definitely call them for that job in the future!

They set an appointment and made the appointment. The owner did the analysis and was very knowledgeable and he communicated very well. We've never had a problem since they've been here.

We first found Richard's Roofing through Angieslist when we had storm damage to our roof. They performed the work in a very quick turnaround and were very easy to work with. Unlike some other roofing companies that prowled the neighborhood after the storm with outrageous prices, they gave a very reasonable estimate for the work. It ended up being less and that's all that they charged. Due to our positive experiences with them, we used them again, most recently to replace 18 wood windows with new efficient vinyl replacement windows. We were concerned about the presence of lead paint and they were meticulous to keep dust out of the house. The windows are great quality. They didn't make us haggle over price -- they gave a very fair price right out of the gate. They also installed aluminum soffits around the entire house, they took their time and did a great job. The staff has always been very pleasant to work with, knowledgeable and took care and pride in their work -- and it shows! We will use them again.

Company was extrememly responsive right up front, able to start work within few days after calling them. Shingles were ordered and delivered and work started the very next day. All went fine for few days, then the workers stopped showing up. Then the weather caused issues. The days that it was actually clear out, no one still came. Then it would rain some more. Not very accomodating on a new construction house that is soaking the entire interior while I patiently wait for the workers to come back. Called in few times and was told they would be out soon. It took 3 weeks before the entire job was finished. I watched the neighbors house be shingled in 3 days. Frustrating. Apparently they underestimated the roof and had to order additional shingles but did not communicate that being the issue to me. Even more frustrating. The job looks ok, although a few trouble areas were found where a shed-type overhang meets the main wall... no flashing installed. I was also advised to not add on the drip edge option and that is a normal job of siding contractors. This caused additional work on my part as well as higher cost to install a drip edge after the fact. If I had to do it over, I would have gone with another company. Too bad all the high reviews on Angie's List for this company led me astray.

They came out after some strong winds we had. The winds had blown out one of my attic vents. They were very good. I dealt with a gentleman named Kevin Kilpatrick. They came out and took a look at the job and determined they needed to replace both vents on each side of the house. The vent installation was superior to what had been done previously. The price they quoted was very reasonable. It was a one day repair, and they finished all the clean-up in that amount of time as well. They are a very reliable and good company to do business with. I would highly recommend them to anybody.

Everybody was friendly and professional. They came out and did the work when they said they would.

,I am willing to pay for a quality product, but expect professionalism and expertise as well. Thus was disappointing!
