I got several quotes for replacing my gutters, but Richards Roofing was the only company to take the time to go through all the details with me, selecting the correct size and noting that the fascia was in need of replacement as well (which would have either been a surprise cost or caused problems down the road). They also did a great job repairing my porch roof and adding extra guards to it so critters don't get in.

Gave an honest opinion which I value and will call on this company again.

My neighbors a lot of hail damage so I wanted to get an estimate for my roof. He said that my roof was in excellent condition and he put it in writing for me. He was very punctual, professional, and responsive.

Everything went great. They were very good about answering the many questions I had, and were very responsive both over phone and email. I was informed when the work would begin, and the installer listened to all of my concerns and was great at answering the questions I had about the roof and the skylights.

They promptly diagnosed my problem with my roof. They sent me the estimate. They completed the job.

We were experiencing some leaks from a 2nd story mansard with flat roof. One roofer said we needed the entire mansard and flat roof replaced so I called Richard's Roofing for a 2nd opinion. He answered my AngiesList request promptly and within a few days was out to take a look. He explained things in a way we could understand and, while we had a really bad roofing job from the hail storm 10 years ago, he explained that it wasn't in need of total replacement yet and he could easily fix what needed to be fixed. We very much appreciated his honesty. He did the work promptly and on budget. Will definitely use Richard's Roofing again.

Got a quick bid after checking with three providers. Richards was the least expensive. Took about three weeks to get my project in, just because of other projects they had in the works already. Crew came in, completed the roof in a day, cleaned up, and left. The gutters were done the following week. The price was exactly what I was quoted. The only knock is that the gentleman picking up the dumpster after the roof was finished did not call to let me know when he was coming. Not terribly inconvenient because I happened to be home, but could have been an issue if I was not home. Same with the gutters. I was told the gutters would be installed the following week, then never got a follow-up call. The gentleman just showed up on Friday of that week to do the work. This was an issue because I typically leave my dog outside during the day, so I had to drive home to let the dog in while he did the work. Other than those minor issues of communication, I was highly satisfied with the services provided.

Everything with them was absolutely perfect and I would absolutely use them again.

After several offers from other companies, Richards was the only company to offer a replacement for my skylight that was a long term solution. They were able to order a skylight that fit the exact dimensions of the opening. The installation went as expected. The team was very professional. There was a problem with leakage due to ice dams (and our unusually brutal winter), and they returned on two occasions until the problem was resolved. I now have a lovely leak-proof skylight.

Chris arrived promptly and fixed the problem. We thought we observed other missing shingles, but Richards returned and explained it was a treatment designed to prevent ice dams that we simply hadn't noticed before (you have to be across the street or on the roof to see it). They were very patient and professional, wanting to be sure we were satisfied.

It was an extremely hot summer, but they still showed up every morning and worked until about 1 p.m. until it was done. They had to quit because of the heat and I was happy with that. I could understand. They put a dumpster on my driveway and it leaked rust on the concrete. They came out and cleaned it all up. Their price was competitive and they charged about the same as anybody else.

Company was prompt and put a good deal of time into coming up with a proposal.

The work went very well, and was done in a timely fashion. When the contract was written, we were told that the extent of repairs required for the rafters and sheathing would not be totally clear until the shingles were removed. More work was required than we hoped, but the added cost was very reasonable. There was no attempt to pad the billing. The workmanship is terrific - the crew even replaced much of the siding at the roof line so that it now tucks under the shingles. The roof looks great, and is now in better shape than it has been in decades. We will definitely call Richards for all future roofing needs.

The job was done extremely professionally and efficiently. The cleaned up after each day and left our yard the way it was when they arrived. They also, were very careful of our new patio when removing shingles. The workers were very nice and professional at the same time.

They were very professional, cleaned up after themselves, did a wonderful job working with our insurance company. This summer, I recommended them to a friend & she was very pleased with them.

It was a fair price. I have used them a couple of times and they have always been good. I would use them again.

They recommended a very expensive roof, which I went with. They have been very unresponsive since the work. I have called them back out 2-3 times about leaks. They have came back out and said they made the repairs and that they would be back in (2) weeks to repair the interior damage caused by this. I recently called, as I have a new problem and was unable to get a hold of them. I have spots on my ceiling that they said they would take care of, which they never have. They have not followed through on making the repairs promised. UPDATE: They came out again and looked at the ceiling stains. They sent a painter out, who put Kiltz on it. He has come out at least 4 times to get the ceiling color right. He did a beautiful job.

This company is WONDERFUL. You can trust them 100%. In my case it's a long story, but to be brief, I was in a jam. I had recently switched insurance companies, and after the new policy was written their underwriters demanded certain repairs get done because of comments made on a routine inspection report. I had very little time to comply. I couldn't even get a tree service to bid on overhanging branches that needed to be trimmed because of the time constraints. I found Richards on Angie's List and the owner came out very quickly. He knew I was in a jam but did not try to take advantage of me. He even offered to do the tree work (not their area of expertice) if I agreed to remove the branches, since they are not set up to handle such material. They would take care of all their roofing work debris. Done deal! They came out as quickly as promised and did an EXCELLENT job. Very friendly guys. Oh, and the bill? It was lower than the original estimate because they were able to clean moss-covered shingles instead of replacing them! I would have never known the difference had they not been so honest. All I had to do was bundle up the branches for yard waste pick-up, per our agreement. Richards cleaned up everything else very nicely. This whole thing was unplanned. My goal was to replace my roof as finances allowed later this year. GUESS WHO'S GOING TO GET THAT JOB?? Finally, I just have to comment on a certain few critical reviews made here by some other people a while back. One of them complained that Richards couldn't drop everything and run out over 30 miles for a free estimate at the drop of a hat. Another one criticized the Richards crew for not wearing logo shirts!! PLEASE ignore these crackpots. It's unfortunate their ratings are being averaged in and I think Angie's should delete them. Richards is responsive, honest, and the crews are dressed appropriately. They deserve your business.

It went smoothly. The service provider came out to give an estimate and they were very accommodating to my questions and concerns. They came out on time for the appointment and they cleaned up well after themselves and I had an excellent experience.

Called about a leak in my roof and the lady on the phone said it would be next week before she could have somebody out to take a look. I wouldn't recommend these guys if you have to get something done now. No work performed.

I called them to set up a time for them to come out and look at my roof. We wanted a professional roofing opinion. We are selling our home and the buyer's inspector told us that we have hail damage and need a new roof. Before we called the insurance company, we wanted a roofer to come take a look and let us know if it actually needs to be replaced, and if so, then to stand with us to talk with the insurance company when they came out to evaluate, and to give us a bid. The woman that I spoke with on the phone told me that they "don't even want to mess with things like that right now", that they are too busy. She said that they're only really working with past clients right now and just don't have time to come take a look or give us a bid. Wow. I called them because the reviews were good on Angie's List, but I can say that after speaking with her, I am not impressed at all. That's fine, if they're too busy to "deal" with "issues like ours" then I don't want to work with them anyway. While she was polite on the phone, she basically told me that we would be a waste of their time. I don't see how asking for their professional opinion and providing a bid would be a waste of their company's time. What kind of a company turns down a call for a bid and a possible job?

The service of Richards Roofing & Exteriors Inc. was good. I highly recommend them.

I thought they did a great job except I did not like the fact that they were not wearing richard roofing shirts. To me it did not seem very professional. They were smoking cigerettes. I noticed when I peaked out the window that someone was unplugging from my exterior plug of something they had used. It does not say in the contract that they could use my electricity without even asking. I feel like they should of at least asked my permission. It kind of gave me a bad tast in my mouth. At one point the foreman had left and I had left a message for him and he had called me up and was rude. It went something like "Miss Mabry, please leave my men alone. My men need to do there work." What did he think I was doing? The owner of the companies name is Richard Ray - he was not very nice on the phone. His foreman was Rick Welbourn (sp?).

This company saved me thousands by telling me I did not need a new roof.

Richards Roofing & Exteriors Inc is excellent. They were dependable, they stood behind their work, they had an excellent review on Angie's List and BBS and they have a store front location. One of the biggest thing was that it takes them longer but they do a better job and that is what I was looking for. All their employees are on their payroll, so they don't sub contract. The representative that I worked with was called Kevin and he was excellent. They weren't the cheapest bid, they were in the middle but I wasn't looking for the cheapest bid.
