In my opinion, the best roofer in the county! Both roofs are beautiful and the workman were friendly and clean.

They where prompt and professional.

I had them out for an estimate of my roof that had hail damage. They promptly returned my call and came by for an estimate. They were professional, answered my questions in detail and provided a follow up estimate when they said they would. I ended up selecting a different contrator that I had just the slighest bit of a better repoir with. That said, they lost out on the job by the slightest of margins and I would have had no hesitation using them as a contractor.

It went great. They are supper responsive and so nice to work with.

First of all -- this company responded! I called other roofing companies in the past who did not respond nor follow up. Then, the rest of the process was easy from start to finish . . . selecting the shingles . . . getting a detailed, professional bid . . . to completion of the work. Great communication with their team. And, the crew left the site so clean when they were finished. I would definitely recommend Richards Roofing.

Asked for a bid to remove old shingles and replace roof. Estimate was provided very timely, and bid was well thought out and well documented with substantial detail. While I did not end up going with Richards, I would recommend them as a potential provider.

They were a little high. Their estimate was $3200. They were responsive. He emailed me quick. He gave me the email quote. He followed up with me. It was almost $1000 more than the estimate I accepted. The quote was pretty detailed.

Sales, supervision and all customer service was very good, thoughtful, courteous and clear. Crew actually came earlier on the calendar than expected. Arrived early and finished in one day. Clean up was complete. Quality is perfect. No pricing surprises. Owner came to my house before the job was started to make sure everything to be done was clear. Very nice touch! Crew was friendly and polite. Sales person very knowledgeable. Answered all questions clearly and was timely returning phone calls. Sales person made important suggestions about modifications to roof vents. Very happy with the results.

Richards Roofing was great to work with. They came out to my house, inspected the area that was leaking, and provided me with a reasonable estimate. A few days later they came out and repaired the hole and removed the satellite dish. They even offered to haul away the old dish.

The crew installed the roof while my wife and I were at work. They completed the entire roof (a home of around 1500 sq ft) in one day, and cleaned up the entire area before departing. No nails or broken shingles were found. We are very happy with the overall appearance of the roof, both in terms of color and texture. Amanda (from Richard's office) was very helpful and patient with our questions. They let us take all the sample shingles we wanted to match up our brick with the right color too. That was very helpful. If we need siding or exterior work in the future, we will call Richard's first.

I CAN'T SAY ENOUGH GREAT THINGS ABOUT RICHARDS ROOFING & EXTERIORS! After a particularly bad storm in June, I noticed water damage on the north wall of our house. Unfortunately, I did not call Richards Roofing at that time. I actually hired A DIFFERENT CONTRACTOR, that I had used several years ago. Although this contractor is an expert with the type of roofing material we have, he was overbooked, and he should not have taken my contract to do the repairs. Initially, he told me he could do the work in two weeks, but after 2-1/2 months...and extensive rain damage to plaster walls...I signed up for Angie's list to find another contractor. THEN CAME THE BIG SURPRISE...out of several calls to reputable contractors on Angie's list...none had experience with "synthetic slate" and could not do the work! Then I called Richards Roofing and was so relieved to hear they had extensive experience with installing and repairing synthetic slate. After telling the receptionist about my plight, and how I had hired someone else who never showed up, I was immediately put through to Ray Richards, the owner. Even better, Ray said he would come out to look at the damage and give me an estimate the very next day. At that time, I was given a 3-week lead time to finish the work, which seemed very reasonable. I signed the contract, paid my deposit, and crossed my fingers, hoping it would not rain for the next three weeks! THREE DAYS LATER, I received a call from Ray himself, apologizing that his crew had forgotten to leave a card on my door to let me know they had completed the repairs. While I had Ray on the phone, I walked outside and was astonished to see brand new copper flashing gleaming from the roofline of the north chimney. Somehow, they had managed to complete the project while I was at work, and the crew left my yard and surrounding work area in perfect order! Everything was neat and clean! Considering how much damage the plaster wall and ceiling had sustained while I was held up by the previous contractor, I can't begin to express my gratitude to Ray Richards! Had Richards Roofing not shown up when they did, I might have lost my ceiling and wood floors too! This is truly a great company!

Perfect! Estimate was very reasonable. When compared to other estimates Richards Roofing came in much more reasonable for most of the same work others were going to charge more for. They were prompt and very professional. Kept me informed of what they were doing and the progress of the repairs.

It went perfectly. Along with Stan Mauk Tuckpointing (who I also highly recommend) they coordinated and got the job done in a single day.

Could not have had a better experience! They were extremely professional and honest, and the workers were friendly and cleaned up very well throughtout the process. I also really like that the guys doing the work are employees and not sub-contractors. I have since recommended this company to a few neighbors. One neighbor would love to use them but Richards Roofing told them that they don't need a new roof yet (this is how honest this company is!!)

These guys made everything easy for me - they stepped me through the whole process including meeting with my insurance adjuster. Communication was excellent and the work is exceptional - including the cleanup (better than when they started). I had used them in the past to fix issues with my roof that another roofer installed incorrectly. Their expertise was impressive - they fixed the problems and I had no more leaks. I asked them to check my roof on a couple earlier hail storms and they reported it was not damaged. This time they found damage and met with my insurance adjuster to make sure both agreed on what needed to be done and that we were treated fairly. I trust them - they have had lots of times they could have taken advantage of me and showed they were interested in what I needed - not in generating more business for them. Their guys work hard and know what they are doing - I don't even bother to contact a second provider for a competing estimate

Our representative was very responsive and punctual in responsing to all calls and emails. He was very knowledgeable and thorough in providing an estimate. One time when we had a queston for our rep, he was out of the office but the owner came on the phone and answered our questions. When a date was set for the work to begin, they were on time and completed the project in a day's time. The onsite workers were very consciencious, respectful and cleaned up very well afterwards, We would absolutely recommend this company

Excellent experience with work on my father in law's house which I handled for him, thus, used on our house to repair a leak. Once again, excellent experience from calling to arrange a meeting to review situation, timely quote, and very good workmanship. Highly recommend!

Horrible and Disappointing I can't believe it!!! This started off so well. Kevin from Richard's Roofing called me IMMEDIATELY to set up and appointment to come out and take a look at my roof. He ask me some basic information over the telephone. He told me they could do a satellite l view of my roof and then he would still come out to take a look.. He schedule a date originally on Wednesday but we did have some light rain and he said if he didn't make it that day it would be Thursday/Friday and if not then Saturday for sure. I didn't hear anything from him during the week so I thought for sure as he said Saturday. Saturday was a beautiful day. I was home all day and when I didn't hear anything by 1:30pm I called the office. No one answered and I left a voice mail. NO SHOW ON SATURDAY. I did a follow up call on that following Tuesday and Kevin answered the telephone he informed me that he had come out on Monday. Now let's take a commercial break. I did think that was strange that first he didn't cancel the Saturday appointment and just came out on Monday and didn't even try to contact me to see if I would be available for him to speak to me personally to see if there was additional concerns that I had about the job??? Kevin told me he had some picture ( assuming from the satellite view) and the estimate. He was going to mail the estimate and email me the picture so If I had any concerns are any thing additional to add I could discuss it with him. I gave him my email address confirmed if he had it correct and he told me the email would be from Kevin Kiltzpatrick. I have yet to receive any information from himself/Richard Roofing. I have check all my spam mail and still looking in the mail box for the estimate. I have called and left a voicemail and also a message through Angie's list to the company and NO ONE has called me back or SENT A MESSAGE EMAIL/ANGIE'S LIST. I'M REALLY SHOCKED this company had so many GOOD RATINGS on Angie List. Now this is what I REALLY think happened. I don't think he actually came out AT ALL. I think once he received my address this isn't an area that his company preferes to do business. Instead of him stating that he just went through the motion and verbally told me he came out and will send an estimate in the mail. I would have just appreciate him being and honest person up front. He was SO NICE AND FRIENDLY on the telephone. WOW you just never know who you can trust. I've had two bids since then and this is a $15,000 job and the other roofers who really wanted to do the job came out and meet with me, and had a written estimate ( from the satellite view) told me about their company credential and BBB rating and ALSO came into my home to see if any water damage was on the interior of the home and finally open the floor for question from me THE CUSTOMER now that is EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE. So it turned out GOOD AS ALL!!!!

The gentleman who did the estimate was personable and friendly. They couldn't do the work right away due to weather (understandable) but got to it much faster than we anticipated. They were done in three days. They suggested replacing the gutter covers and gave us a very reasonable quote on that too. Cleaned up completely. We would have never known they were here if we hadn't had the new roof to show for it.

Richard's was very professional and prompt in all of our interactions. They provided a very thorough contract which was much appreciated. The workers were friendly and did a nice job with the clean up. We would definitely use this provider again.
