They did good work, but I didn't like that the bid wasn't broken down into three sections (how much per square yard for carpet, pad, and labor). They seemed very expensive. We rushed into the projects without taking any other bids.

The overall experience was satisfactory. The Empire representative came to the house to show samples and take measurements. She seemed reluctant to bring in very many samples. From the three that she brought in, I did select one. The Empire representative would not give me a "per yard" price. She told me that she was only given the total amount when she called in. I wanted the "per yard" price because that is how other companies I had contacted provided pricing. I was desperate because my house is for sale, and I needed the carpeting replaced right away. When the installers came the next day, they told me the measurements were 30 yards short of the required amount. However, Empire honored the quoted price and "made things right". The installers did a wonderful job laying the carpeting. Seams are not visible, and the installers were careful with freshly painted walls.

Fantastic work. The salesman was very knowledgeable and friendly. Not pushy. The installers were great. They were very courteous and handled the furniture with great care. They were on time and cleaned up after it was done. Great people to do business with.

The gentleman was very late to the appointment, however the company called and informed me of the situation and offered me a concession of $50 off work performed. While I was still considering my options, they called and offered about $3000 off the price of the hardwood option if I scheduled another appointment to discuss the colors and whatnot. When I called to cancel that appointment (because we chose to go with another company), they again offered to take more money off the quote.

Empire Today promises that their salesman will come to your home with carpet samples, will let you make your choice, and the carpeting will be in-stalled the next day. This is exactly what happened. I called the company Monday morning, Mark the salesman came Monday afternoon and carpet was installed by Dave lopez and his crew on Tuesday.

Empire sent two installers to complete my job. Empire has a reputation for providing a quote on one day and installing their product the next day, however, they can not guarantee a time of delivery. I work from home, so it was not a problem, but it may be for other people. My crew arrived later than hoped (about 2pm vs before noon). When I called to get an estimated delivery time, they explained that the job before me had run into a couple of problems (not Empire's fault, the wrong color carpet had been sent by the manufacturer and not realized until two rooms had been completed) and that they would arrive that afternoon. The job was completed quickly. The day after they left, I found that the padding had slipped on one of my stairs. I called Empire and they sent one of the original installers the next day to fix the problem. The carpet looks beautiful and the seams are very difficult to locate.

The sales person, Dawn, came out to our house on the second business day after we called. She was friendly and helpful. I was surprised that the price was as good or better as some of the big home improvement stores. We decided to go with them and the carpet was installed the next day.

JEFF, THE SALES REP. WAS VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE AND PROFESSIONAL. HE PROVIDED ME WITH A QUOTE TUESDAY NIGHT AND THE INSTALLERS ARRIVED THE NEXT MORNING. THE INSTALLING TEAM WAS LEAD BY BOBBY WHO HAS OVER 10 YEARS EXPERIENCE WITH LAMINATE FLOORING. ALL MEMBERS OF THE TEAM WERE PROFESSIONAL. THEY ARRIVED ON TIME AND CLEANED UP THEIR MESS.
