Bill's Place

On 7/12/14 my Sears Craftsman riding mower stopped running. It started easily but would only run for a minute or two before stalling again. New filters, sparkplug, and fuel did not help. I should mention that this two year old mower never ran very well especially on uneven ground. I found Bill's Place on Angie's List and called. Brian arranged a pickup and replaced some parts on the mower that had been upgraded by the manufacturer and could not find any other problems. After the mower was delivered, it still did not run well when it was on the sloped areas of my lawn. I contacted Brian by phone and he told me that they would pick it up within a couple of hours, figure out what was wrong, and get it running properly, and, that there would be no additional cost to me. Within one hour, they picked up the mower. A couple of days later, Brian called to arrange delivery and they dropped off the mower. They were able to figure out that the mower was designed in a way that made it difficult for fuel to get from the fuel tank to the carburetor when the mower was on uneven ground. They rerouted the fuel lines to help eliminate the problem. He also gave me some other tips and information that were helpful. The mower ran better than ever and continues to run without any problems. We really appreciated the time that the folks at Bill's took to figure out and fix the problem and are especially grateful for their quick, no charge follow-up, when their first effort did not work.

It went great! Picked up and delivered as promised. Will definitely use again! Very friendly and accommodating. Price wasn't zero but I can say it was very reasonable. I have recommended this business to my friends.

He came out and picked it up and brought it to his shop to work on it then brought it back. There were no additional costs to the big deal I purchased. He had it back within a week. I only talked to him on the phone but the work he did was good. Overall it was a good experience.

He sent the mower back and it continued not to work for me. I called them and they came back to get it and resolved the issue.

He picked up the mower with a trailer. He was a little vague on pickup time but it worked out fine. Was quick with the turnaround and getting the mower back to us. Very friendly.

My lawnmower was picked up from my house quickly, which was great...really convenient. I was surprised by the unprofessional manner of the person who picked it up: he reeked of cigarette smoke, was filthy, and I could hardly understand his bad speech. But he was friendly. The lawnmower needed some extra work and I had to pay an additional $152.81, totalling $241.81. I'm not sure if it was actually a good deal for me; I can't remember all the extra work that was done, but the repairs cost almost as much as the lawnmower, now that I think about it! The lawnmower was delivered upon completion of the work done on it, and it has been humming along very well this spring.

The gentleman picked up the mower from our house and brought it back after he was finished- this was fantastic as we were wondering how we were going to do this. The service was quick, he picked it up on a monday or tuesday and had it back to us 2 days later. He did call when the mower was fixed although I wish he would have called before fixing it to let us know what needed to be done and the cost. lucky for us it wasn't costly. We will use Bill's Place again as he was very prompt and professional.

The experience went very well and I highly recommend him. I expected to go there, drop the mower off and wait a couple of days, but he asked me if I could wait right where I was he would have it done in a couple of minutes. While I waited he did it. It was unexpected and was a tremendous experience. His customer service stuck out to me. His price was very nominal.

They got the job done in about 3 days. The worker was good and he came by and picked up the mower and then dropped it off when he was done. It was very convenient.

Picked up my Honda mower from my house. Tuned up the mower, sharpened the blades, changed the oil, lubed the chassis and put on a new pull rope. Then returned the mower home to me. It's the best tune-up job I have ever had. I recommend Rays.

They came and picked up and delivered my daughters mower to my house. Unfortunately when it was delivered I discovered that they had not tightened the bolts on the blade and I had to return the mower back to them and they promptly apologized and fixed it.

We bought the $89 Angie's List deal, and it went great. We set up an immediate appointment. They picked up and had our mower and had it back to us within a few days. Great service. Would definitely use again.

The whole thing was great. Too bad doctors don't do this well. It was picked up when promised, fixed, and returned four days early. It has worked better than when I had bought it new. I use very little effort to pull start the mower and it seems to do better on gas as well. Thanks!!!! I will use again, if needed.

didn't charge me for getting the tiller working. That was nice. The lawn mower wasn't working when I got it home so they said bring it in. I waited 20 minutes and they cleared a clogged fuel line. It is working great now. They have a service to pick up the mower but the cost is high so unless you really need it, bring it in yourself.

They came and go it and brought it back and did a really good job. They were good. What I like the most about their service is having someone to pick it up so I didn’t have to try to put it in my trunk and drive it someplace. The repair turned out absolutely okay.

Not a glamorous place, but they get 'er done! They know their stuff and take no guff... I will go back.
