Our consultant, Bill, was completely knowledgeable about the products he represented and gave us two on the spot quotes to consider before making our final decision. While still trying to decide on which contractor to choose, he made a follow up call to see if we had any further questions and offered us a $200.00 discount plus extras including a new humidifier and additonal duct work running to our sunroom. With these additional incentives, we decided to hire them for the work. The installation was started promptly as scheduled and lasted most of the day. There were no problems that they couldn't handle and we are please with the results so far. The Amana unit that we purchased from them is very quiet to the point we don't even know that it's running. The Heat Exchanger and Compressor and warrantied for life as long as we live in our home.

I would highly recommend Total Comfort Heating and Cooling. The sales representive was interested in providing my home with the most effective units for the space, without oversale. The installers were prompt, courteous, professional and left the areas they worked in clean. The office staff followed the process from start to finish and followed up 2 weeks after instillation to make sure there were no issues. Very pleased with Total Comfort.

Angelo came on time and was very efficient in his diagnosis and repair of my heating problem. The motor of my blower wasn't working. At first he thought it might be an inexpensive repair, but then found it was more serious and the motor needed replacing. He took care of the problem in a reasonably quick way, and everything was fine. He accepted a $30 coupon towards the service call. I am hoping they offer an Angie's List deal for an a/c & heating maintenance program this spring. I would definitely recommend this company.

I called the receptionist in the office, she told me it would be $50 to come out and then $25 for each 15 minutes that he was there. Said someone could come out that afternoon. I had asked the receptionist if there was a coupon and she directed me to her website. It was for $30 and I asked if I could use it and she said absolutely. I was worried there was a minimum and she looked at the coupon and said no. The guy who came out was very nice, friendly, and professional. He took the humidifier a part, pulled out some parts, took the humistat a part and cleaned out the filter and it started working. He was finished in 10-15 minutes. My guess is that there is a short somewhere in the humistat, but he said he couldn't replace it unless it stopped working all together. I thought that it was $50 for the first 15 minutes, but no, that was just the service call and then for the 15 minutes of time he was here, he charged me another $25 for a total of $75. I told him I had the coupon and so the guy called his office and talked to the owner. She told the guy I couldn't use the coupon because he didn't do any "service" work, only "diagnostic". The coupon didn't say anything about that either. I called the owner lady to discuss it and she immediately got really mean and aggressive when I complained they weren't going to let me use it. She said that I couldn't use it because the guy didn't do any service. I said, he took it a part, cleaned out the filters and to me I considered that services. We argued about it some and then she told me that I was wasting her time. I was pretty surprised that she would get so rude and obnoxious so fast to a customer. She then said, fine, you can use the coupon to pay for the extra charge but I still had to pay the service fee call of $50, and then she told me to find someone else to service my furnace in the future. Of course she knows that it's warrantied for 10 years and free parts. The sad thing is that if they would have explained all this clearly up front, I would have been fine with it. It's the fact that it was done after the fact that I thought they were gouging me for the extra money. I've never been treated like this before...EVER. I am completely shocked at how my appreciation for the company who did a nice job putting in my furnace was lost on a $25 coupon for a service call. I'm pretty sure I even gave them a good review when they put the furnace in. Her behavior, the owners, was completely uncalled for. Perhaps it was just a big misunderstanding on my part when the receptionist told me I could use the coupon, but the coupon is very general and I know she told me I could use it. The only thing it says is that it can't be combined with other offers which it wasn't. To be treated like the way I was on the phone is unacceptable. Very disappointed with this company and now would never recommend ANYONE use them. What I'm really hoping will happen is they will call back and apologize, that she had just had a bad day or something...but I'm guessing that won't happen if the owner is that irrational. Buyer beware!

Called in the morning, the technician was at my door an hour later. The work went quickly and neatly. Overall very satisfied.

I needed work done right away. They sent Angelo out to complete the work. He was totally professional, quick, he got right to work. He got the system to work and it held through the summer. It is a 25+ year system.

This company does my annual two check ups and has always been great. During one they said my humidifiers on my units were bad. I was not at home when the rep called to schedule an appt. I said I would call back and forgot. Two weeks later she called me and reminded me and we scheduled. They were at my house exactly on time, did the work and were out of here. What a great company to work with.

They were very competent and cordial. They were on time and very neat in their workmanship. The quality of their work is without any mistakes or flaws.

Called them to come and do a spring service maintenance. The technician was prompt and let me know what he was doing and what he saw. He let me know we were reaching the end of use of the unit. A few days later, the unit had to be replaced. Due to the age and the quality of the original unit, we replaced both the furnace and ac unit. Their product is very quiet and the owner worked to submit all the rebates available to us. We appreciated the prompt, courteous response especially with hot weather bearing down on St Louis.

Tom Donahue was extremely professional with his analysis and estimate of the project. I had 4 companies come to bid this job. Total Comfort was the only company that was creative enough to get the job done. My building is 50 years old and the rooms where the equipment was located are cramped. He rerouted some of the stacks to accommodate the county regulations. His staff expertly removed all old equipment and replaced with new in a timely manner. This was a 2 week project. They were professional and prompt with every aspect of the project. They worked around our business schedule.

We had two air conditioners that were over 20 years old and leaking coolant. Total Comfort came in and replaced both of them in less than a day. We had one small issue a couple of days later that was unforeseeable that they came and took care of the same day I called about it.

The work went ok overall. Work was completed in a timely manner.

The same person came for both visits. He was very pleasant and efficient. He returned to install the humidifiers and showed me how they work.

I will use them again in the future.

Everything went well. There was only one little glitch and they came right back and fixed the issue. They came in with a much lower bid than others. They did great work and cleaned up after themselves.

The company was very responsive and seemed very knowledgeable. They worked with us on a good price, honoring an expired Angie's List coupon. The furnace works great.

They were on time and performed their duties in a very timely manner. They cleaned up very well, leaving no mess. I have been very happy since it was installed, with both the service and the product itself.

The tech arrived at the scheduled time. The office called in advance to let me know he was coming. After he arrived he quickly determined that the drain hose from the inducer purge motor had been clogged, so he cleared the drain tube and then tested it to make sure that was the issue. It was a simple fix. He also offered to do a tune-up and check that the furnace was operating efficiently. Although the cost was slightly higher than some others ($65 vs $59), I agreed since it hadn't been done in a few years. I thought the cost was reasonable. The tech was very polite, professional and didn't rush the process. I thought he answered my questions thoroughly and didn't talk over my head. We were very happy with the service.

Our Air Conditioner went out, and I called a number of companies with high ratings on Angie's List. Total Comfort was the first to respond and Jim came out within an hour. He diagnosed the problems with our unit, showed them to me and explained them, fixed them, and provided me with quite a few tips to get the best performance out of our unit for years to come. Very helpful, informative, efficient, and courteous. We will definitely be using Total Comfort in the future, and can't thank them enough for helping us so quickly on the holiday weekend!

I found this company through Angies List Deals, but before I purchased this through Angies List I called the contractor to see if they could come out to the house in the next few days. They were more than willing to fit my schedule and even gave me the Angies list pricing. I cannot not say enough about this company and the technician (son of the owner) who fixed the problem. He was very informative and did not try to up-sell anything. I was told by previous technicians that I needed a new unit, but he mentioned that if I service the A/C unit and the furnance every year - the system will last for a while. He checked the temperature and airflow from the vents, the thermostats and the actual temperature of the intake and outake of the furnance unit. He was very throrough and I will use them in the future for service and if needed down the road - to purchase a new unit.

It went very well, especially compared to the previous company I had used. The technician talked through every step and explained his actions at each point along the way. At no point did I feel overly pressured to buy a new component that didn't seem necessary. Most importantly, my air conditioning is working now, when it had been completely dead before.
