The repairman arrived on time and made the repair quickly and without making a mess. He explained what the problem was and how he repaired it. He was professional, courteous, and happily took my Angie's coupon.

They sent Russ to our new home to re-key all of the door locks. He arrived when he said he would, did the work quickly, and was super friendly. He was very thorough in explaining to me the type of locks we had on some of our doors and the maintenance issues known to them, as well as what to do if an issue arose. He also took the time to answer a question I had about what kind of key blank to buy in the future if we needed more keys made. I will gladly use them again in the future, including any on-call emergency work. I will also mention that when I initially called to get pricing and set the appointment, the man who answered the phone was courteous and gave me exactly the information I needed. I didn't have to leave a message and wait for a call back.

This guy was prompt, efficient and professional. He did everything he said he'd do and did it well. I'm very happy with the service provided and would definitely use them again.

Sure Lock and Key provides the old-timey service you rarely see anymore. We first found them as experts for our 1890 lock that no longer turned on the spindle. Most locksmiths tried to sell us on a very expensive repair or expensively retrofitting the 1890 door to modern doorsets. Sure Lock and Key fixed the thing for $15! They said it was just a spring, had never been repaired in 100+ years and wouldn't likely need repair for 50 more. They enjoyed the old workmanship. They have also changed our locks a few times. The service for this is priced relatively higher than less experienced locksmiths, but worth every penny. They created an expert system that has the front door on a service key and the other doors on a master key that also works the service key. This allows us to give contractors only the service key, and change one lock every now and then for a whole lot less money than changing all of them. Thanks, Sure Lock!

The new keys work perfectly. I had gone to the dealer first and was quoted about $150 per key. Sure Lock & Key was able to copy my one existing key, and explain how they do it. It's different than what the dealer would do, and so that's reflected in the lower price (even accounting for huge dealer markup). They also made sure that all my keys worked properly before I left their location.

Setting the appointment was smooth and easy. However, the installer was supposed to arrive between 9-11 and he arrived closer to 3 pm. Luckily I was still there... The price quoted was very different than the actual price because there was a miscommunication. Russ thoroughly explained the accurate cost to my satisfaction to help me get over the price shock. The work was done quickly and efficiently. I would suggest next time asking very specific questions because clearly the initial phone call was too smooth and quick.

Called the company, scheduled a service call for the next day (Saturday). Scheduled a time of 11am-1pm. The locksmith (Russ) called me at 1pm to say he would arrive in a few minutes. He arrived at about 1:15. He put the faulty handle back together as requested, and tightened up the deadbolt also. He was pleasant, explained what caused the fault, and took steps to prevent it from failing again. Overall I was very satisfied with the work performed, and would use them again.

On time, professional, and courteous. The locksmith was able to re-key our whole house to one key, and correct a tricky lock. Very reasonably priced.

I called Sure Lock about 1 p.m. today, Friday afternoon. They were willing send someone out the same afternoon without charging me any special "call out" rate for quick service. Matt showed up about 2 hours later and found that this was a lock that had been discontinued by Schlage, and therefore, he did not have replacement parts. He did have the replacement lock by Schlage on his truck at a reasonable price including install, and he keyed it to my other locks as the prior deadbolt had been. Adjustments were required to the door to make the new larger lock fit properly and he stayed at it until it worked smoothly. He accepted my Angie's list coupon that I had printed out and that is reflected in the cost above. I felt that Matt was honest, professional easy to work with. I'll be going to their shop to get some copies made, and I am confident that they will do quality work there as well.

The man who answered the phone was very polite and had time to come right over. He was the same person who came to the house. What a nice man, and he was very kind and gracious. Did a great job, answered my questions, and was done in less than an hour.

I called them around noon. At 3 PM, when they usually close, the owner called me back and said that, although technically it was the end of their regular hours he could come out for the daytime rate. He came very quickly, and was able to remove the deadbolt that was stuck in the doorframe. He offered me 2 options, repairing the lock or installing a new one. I chose to get a new one, as it was only about $20 more. He quickly installed the new one, and even drilled out the hold for the deadbolt a little so it would slide more easily. I had an Angie's List coupon which he accepted with no problem. All in all I was very happy with the service and the price. I highly recommend this company and would use them again.

Perfect! This company is very professional, and the locksmith who came out to my house did an excellent job. This is money well spent, and I'm glad I went with an A-rated company.

The provider was able to schedule the work quickly. He arrive a few minutes early and got right to work. He had the appropriate lock replacement in the truck and quickly changed the lock. He tested the keys before he left. It took maybe ten minutes. I do not know competitive prices, but I thought the cost was a little high for the time spent.

The work turned out really well. The man who came out did a good job.

The serviceman was on time, curteous, and polite. He listened to my directions and followed them. He showed me the part that needed to be replaced for the front door and then put the lock back together again. He also let me know that he could have another person come to retrofit a new lock, but it would cost about $600. I was happy with the service and I would use this company again.

One of the first things my fiance insisted happen when we bought our house was to get all the locks re-keyed. I knew it was important to him so I began researching different locksmiths on Angie's list and found Sure Lock & Key. I called them and set them up to come out the day after we closed in the morning. The locksmith was very prompt (I feel horrible but I forgot his name! He was wonderful though!) He began looking at the locks and we discovered (after much searching for the keys and finally finding them) that there was not a key to two of the doorknobs. He ended up having to pick those locks. Overall it took him about an hour to re-key all 5 locks (we ended up with only 2 keys which is great!). I was very pleased at how professional and easy the whole experience ended up being. I highly recommend this company and will use them in the future.

The lever door knob on our front door broke when trying to open the door which was sticking shut and very difficult to open. Russ from Sure Lock and Key arrived by appointment on time and analyzed the problem and suggested a better solution than just replacing the door knob. He suggested that just replacing the knob would not solve the problem since the door would still be sticking that was the reason for the knob breaking off in the first place. During the return visit, Russ and his partner removed the door, planed off the edges that were sticking, installed a replacement knob and keyed the new knob to fit my existing door key. In addition, Russ suggested a round knob instead of a lever knob since it was less likely to break in the future. Also i was able to use the coupon from Angie's List. Overall, I was very satisfied with Sure Lock and Key and highly recommend them to other customers.

The work was done in a professional manner. The men were polite and performed the work in a timely manner. The first day a workman estimated the work that needed to be done and provided a verbal quote. The next morning a workman came out and performed the work. However, they were not able to replace two peek holes or the plates surrounding the door knobs. The workman was going to check with his suppliers and call me back. I did not hear from him, so I called the office on Wednesday. The man who answered, took the information and said he was going to check. I have not heard from the company.

The locksmith was on time (actually 30min early) and was done amazingly fast.

The technician did some repairs on the lock, but it was functioning worse after he left than when he arrived. He said he would call me back with a recommendation for the lock, but never called. I had an Angie's list coupon for 10% off, but they would not honor it saying that $85 is their minimum charge.

Very professional, prompt, and quick. Provided good advice and answers to questions, would definitely use again.
