Russ was great. He called to let me know he was on his way and kept to the timeframe promised. He easily diagnosed the issue and gave me two ways to resolve it so I could choose and keep the cost down. In addition, I have two dogs that were running around and he was patient and careful with them. I would definitely hire them again!

Russ, the technician was a kind and polite gentleman. He was knowledgeable and worked to perfection! Everything was done in a quick and precise manor and he went above and beyond to make sure each door latch and knob was working perfectly before he finished. It is hard to find workers as conscientious as Russ these days. My hat goes off to him! My experience from the first call for the appointment to the prompt arrival time was exceptional. They were able to adjust the strike plate so that an additional lock wasn't necessary which saved me money. They also quickly rekeyed everything so that one key works for everything. Wish I had called them sooner. Very pleased with their work.

Tom did a fine job installing a new and more secure lock on our front door. We particularly liked that he did not "up sell" us by trying to sell us something we didn't need. More specifically, he explained why the current lock on the back door was perfectly good. And so we ended up spending less on the project that we anticipated. This is the kind of professionalism, in my opinion, that leads to long term trust. In other words, we'll definitely use Sure Lock & Key in the future.

I did a botch job installing a new latch and bolt lock assembly on the front door of my home. A few days after I installed it, it fell apart (that was late Saturday night). I headed back to the hardware store early Sunday morning only to learn that they do not sell (off the shelf) door latches and locks that fit the width of my door. So, not wanting to have no door knob or lock on our front door, I decided to find someone to fix my handy-work and Sure Lock and Key called me back shortly after I left a message. I gave the details of the saga of my botched install job, the brand of lock I had purchased, etc. A couple hours later, he showed-up with a new new bolt lock of the same brand and that matched and fit in with the style I had purchased, and re-installed the entire thing (with some other parts he brought and with the newer upgraded bolt lock (including doing some drilling on my door)) in 15 minutes flat. He completely vacuumed and cleaned up the area after the drilling. My wife and I truly appreciated the fast and high quality service. It was pricey as a Sunday emergency call, but the quality, professionalism and service was top notch.

They did an awesome job. They changed my door locks. He was quick and he was very sociable.

I called a couple days later and spoke to someone in the office and told them that the keys were very rough and I coluld hardly get them in or out of the lock. The response was, Russ the installer has been doing this for years and never makes a mistake. He did not offer to fix the keys. I asked them to fix the keys and just wanted them to make the keys right. I have put up with the rough keys since last December when the work was provided until a few weeks ago. I have called their office four times and left a message for Russ the service provider to call me back. Russ did call me early in the morning and I was still asleep and asked him to call me back later. When I did call back and left messeges again, I was told to call him back early in the morning. This is a big problem for me and was told that Russ is only in the office early in the morning. The person on the phone that I have spoke to is very rude, arrogant and unprofessional. I want them to just fix my keys so I can get them in and out of the lock easily. This is exteemely poor customer service.

I called the day before and they told me to bring my filing cabinet (which my kids locked and lost the keys) to their place of business. They said they would pick the lock and fashion a new set of keys for me. I asked how much that would cost and they estimated $35.00. I thought that very reasonable and drove the cabinet to them the next day. The gentleman working inside dropped what he was doing and went to my vehicle, picked the lock, and determined that a key could not be cut but that the lock assembly would need to be replaced. I asked how much that would cost and he said 14.99. I assumed that would be in addition to the 35.00 already quoted. The provider had the lock replaced and had me on my way in less than 30 minutes. The total price was rounded up 31.00. I was very pleased with the work provided and the price. The provider was not the most friendly person but was professional.

Russ was a little bit later than the estimated time of arrival, but he called me to let me know that he was running late, and he then arrived in the time he estimated when he called me. I was very happy with Russ's work. He did not replace the lock set because it was only the latch that needed replacing. The antique finish on the doorknob would have made it more expensive and harder to find and it didn't need replacing, so that saved me some money. The reason the latch was in such bad shape was because of the way it was binding. That was the result of the door sagging a little at the top and because the strike plates for both the deadbolt and the latch were not quite aligned correctly. He shaved a little of the metal off of both of those so that it wouldn't bind anymore and put in a much larger screw in the top hinge of the door, because the small screws were not long enough to go into the stud behind the door frame. That fixed the sagging door. Now the door closes and latches normally. I don't have to lean on it to get it to latch or to operate the latch and deadbolt. I was so happy with what he did with that door that I asked him to look at my back storm door. From the time it was installed, it had refused to latch at all. It closed, but all it took was a push on the door to open it. It could not be locked and the handle was mostly for decoration because it didn't need to be turned to open the door. He discovered almost immediately that the problem was, again, that the latch and strike plate weren't quite aligned. So he trimmed a little of the metal off of the strike plate and the door now latches and locks.

They've done a great job explaining everything, really courteous, really nice and they were cheap.

I called and made an appointment, Sure lock & Key arrived took their time and explained to me what was needed. I picked out a style that I liked and they sent Russ over to put it together. Russ arrived on time, friendly as and explained what he was going to do. I had a busy morning and so I left him alone to do his work. Russ did an amazing job, our door looks awesome and the new lock set looks like it has always been there. Russ came back the next day to fix our screen door latch and didn't leave till he was satisfied with his work. I can't say enough about Russ, very trust worthy, he really takes pride in his work and won't leave till the job is done well. I highly reccommend Sure Lock & Key and I would ask for Russ.

It went very well. My wife and I moved into a new house in May. I called Sure Lock and they set me up with Russ who came to my house at the scheduled time to give me a quote and look at the doors. Based on our conversation I decided to have Sure Lock and Key do the work. Russ came back a few days later and installed all the hardware. They look and operate great. Russ is a very personable and professional guy he explained the warranties on the hardware. He also keyed my locks to fit the new basement door I had installed a few weeks earlier. Now my house key opens all the house entry doors. I love having one key. This is the second time I have used Sure Lock and Key they installed similar items on my previous house. Everyone was very professional and prompt from start to finish. They came the same day I called and did the work in about 30 minutes. The serviceman was also very kind and happy to answer my questions--which I think goes a long way. Definitely recommend.
