Reinhold Electric Inc

This was a follow-up to a service call on May 7, 2012. Once again Lon provided expert professional service and work. His attitude is totally positive: I can do anything you ask me to. It's not just what we call for but interest in our other electrical issues. We like that we can request a specific electrician depending on his schedule.

They will be working on my rental property, but I am awaiting my tenant to schedule the job. They were very upfront in responding to my call. My experience has been very good with them, in checking if the appointment was scheduled. I will contact them in future.

Reinhold was very prompt in scheduling an estimate around my schedule. The estimator however only spent 3 minutes with me looking at the work that I was requesting to be completed. He also contacted me 5 minutes prior to our scheduled time wondering if I would be keeping our appointment (I was on my way at the time and 2 minutes away). Our appointment was on a Friday and he said he'd get the estimate to me on Monday. I requested for it to be completed that afternoon and he was able to email it to me that afternoon. I decided to go with another company because their estimate was a bit cheaper and they provided much better customer service during the estimate (i.e. spent 20-30 minutes walking me through what to expect, etc).

From the estimate to the delivery of the service, the Reinhold team was prompt and professional. The engineer (Lon) arrived on time and completed the work quickly. With the Angie's List coupon, the job cost only $90!

It went GREAT. The electrician was very knowledgeable, professional, personable and courteous. The job was started and completed the same day. The trenching for the underground conduit was done with minimal disruption to the yard. Couldn't be more pleased with the electrician or the work done. The Angie's List coupon for this company also helped to reduce our final cost.

Don't hesitate to call Reinhold Electric at the Continental Drive location. That is who I dealt with and was very pleased.

The work was well done. They cleaned up well and did very good work. I thought maybe my job was too small for them, but it wasn't. The man that came out and did the work was a fireman working part time for them.

I requested a first appointment of the day and was given 8 am on the 15th. At 8:30 am on the day of service, I phoned to obtain the estimated time of arrival as they had not arrived. They checked with the person assigned and I was told he called me and since I didn't answer my phone he went onto the next job. I was told that it would be several hours before he could come to my home. The service technician called me at 7 a.m., an hour before my appointment time, and did not leave a message. I was not told that I the technician would be calling the day of service and if I didn't answer he wouldn't come at the scheduled time. I am choosing to use another company due to this poor customer service.

The electrician listened carefully to the description we gave of the problem we were having and based upon that he was able to locate the problem rather quickly. He appeared thorough and did not leave until he was satisfied he had fixed the entire problem. He was very good at explaining what he was doing and why.

Overall experience great. We called 3 companies on a Saturday morning. Reinhold was the only company that returned our call. Service person called and let us know when to expect his arrival. He was very friendly, courteous, and professional. I highly recommend this company.

The contractor who performed the work was courteous and easy to work with. He showed up on time and was able to complete all the rough in work in a single day. He ran 4 new circuits for additional outlets and lights, including new wiring for a dishwasher, stove, and microwave. He was, however, unprepared and not as knowledgeable about working with aluminum wiring, which older circuits contained. I had to provide the specialty equipment for merging copper and aluminum wiring. There were a few hang ups with the building inspections, but the company quickly worked to resolve them. I would use this company again in the future, but request a contractor who was more knowledgeable about aluminum wiring and older houses.

The reason I requested this service call was to find the reason for the very high electric bills from the utility company for the months of June and July. The utility company had replaced our meter with a new digital meter and promised to have the old one checked. After I received the bill for July, I contacted Reinhold Electric because it appeared the meter might not be the source of the problem. The service person came out, performed his tests and supplied me with a written statement of the result of his examination. I was very pleased with the service Reinhold provided.

They did a really good work. One person came and gave the estimate. The person who came to do the job found that he couldn?t do one job that we wanted because of way the house was wired. He was able to tell us pretty easily. They didn?t charge us for a light fixture that they put in the stairway. I would use them in future and I am happy with their work.

I suppose any qualified electrician could have done this work but what made this experience so exceptional was our electrician Chris -- a great guy, fabulous with our two very enthusiastic large dogs, the kind of person you feel comfortable having in your home. Moreover, he was very patient -- answering my husband's and my questions about the electrical system in our house -- and he managed to complete the work in a short amount of time in SPITE of all the "help" he was getting from us.

They were great. The price was good. The guy finished the job in under the amount of time he had originally quoted me. He was super friendly and easy going. He cleaned up well and made sure everything was satisfactory.

We purchased a rehabbed house a little over two and a half years ago. Unfortunately through a series of plumbing problems we discovered that the guy who sold us the house had not used licensed contractors for making repairs and updates to certain systems. We decided it would be best to have an electrician come out and just look over the wiring to make sure there were no hazards. We also wanted an estimate on installing a back porch light. When I called to make an appointment the person who answered the phone was very friendly and helpful. I didn't have to wait more than a few days to get a convenient appointment time. The electrician arrived at the scheduled time. He was polite and professional. He did a basic inspection of the wiring and then looked our specific areas of concern. He also provided us with a ballpark estimate on what it would cost to install a back porch light. We did not ask for a written estimate as it was something we weren't absolutely sure we wanted to do.

I made an appointment, writing down the date and time during the phone conversation, and my wife stayed home for the entire afternoon when they told us that they would come but they never came or called. I left a message at the end of the day checking in on the situation and mentioning that we are Angie's List members. The next day an electrician called me to see if it was a good time to come and do the work but didn't mention the fact that they weren't able to make their appointment time the previous day. He came and did a good job. It was certainly possible that he was unaware that the company had missed their appointment, but we haven't heard from anyone at the company about the missed appointment either.

The service was adequate. They came on time and the staff that we came in contact with were friendly and courteous. If we needed to, we would use their services in the future.

Called for emergency service and was told that someone would call me back. No one ever called me back. I will not try to use this company again.

They showed up late for the bid and I never received a bid.

We called Reinhold Electric and set up an appointment for an estimate on several items of electrical work. The company representative did not show up for the appointment. We called the office about a half hour after the appointment time, and we were given a cell number to call. We called the cell phone and left a message. The representative never returned the call, and we never heard back from the company at all.

Their electricians were prompt and did a good job, making excellent recommendations that saved us money. The work was done exactly as expected. We did have to prompt them several times to get on the schedule again after a break prompted by a fixture that was not available. We hope to use them again for a future project.

Terrible customer service and communication! The appointment was scheduled for 8:00 AM. I was told that emergency calls could delay my appointment. At 8:25 AM, I called the company because no one had arrived and no one had contacted me. I was told that they would try to contact the electrician and give me a call back. At 8:55 AM, I called the company again because no one returned my call. I was now told that they were trying to contact a manager to find out the electrician that was dispatched to my house. At that point, I canceled the appointment. This appears to be a very disorganized company. I understand that someone can be late for an appointment. However, it is common courtesy (and good business) to inform your customers that you are going to be late. The fact that no one in the office had the information to contact the electrician floors me. Does anyone in this office talk to one another? I suggest that you improve your intra-office and customer communication!

The repair person was early, fast and polite. The problem was that when we called to set up the appointment, we were told that there is a minimum charge of $80 per hour. When we received the bill, we were charge for 1 1/2 hours when the repair person was there only 1 hour. We called and was told that travel time was included in the charge. After a LONG discussion with the billing dept (we were told travel time charges are common practice), we were finally able to successfully argue our point that we were not informed of travel charges in the initial query and that should not have to pay for the extra half hour.

I called this company because it was in the coupon section of the Angie's List Magazine. They came out a couple of hours after I called. We were certain an outdoor GFI had gone bad, and needed replaced. But after careful inspection (by a professional), he told us that our GFI was good. He took a look at our breaker box, and after finding everything in good order, started checking out all of our outlets. The first outlet was a GFI (unbeknownst to us) and all he needed to do was hit the reset button. I felt really silly calling him out for that, but even he admitted that the GFI outlet that he reset wasn't really needed in the area it was located.
