Description of Work: We have a contract for annual air conditioning and heating service. We are very satisfied and have been able to request the same service person to come out each year.

Description of Work: Well, I need to present our experience with them in full to give our members a chance to judge for themselves. We contacted Classic Aire sometime in June for the first time as the HVAC on our 2nd home in St. Louis stopped giving us cold air. They arranged an appt. and assessed that our ducting system was defective and estimated the cost of the fix at about $1300. They came back when we agreed and did the work then left. We went to the apt. 2 weeks later and it was hot again. Between the summer activities and our not being there all the time they finally came back again about early July and this time said our coil was defective and needed replaced (another $1200). They said this was a freak thing and was unrelated to their first repair. We had no way of confirming whether we ever had cool air in between these 2 incidents so we said yes to the 2nd job although a little reluctantly. They came back and spent half a day installing the new coil and added freon. We came back about 1 week later and our home was still hot. At this point, understandably, we were frustrated and felt like we had been cheated. Our communications with them had been nothing but cordial and they did handle all our communications very professionally but bottom line we had just been through most of this hot summer with no cold air. We waited for school to start so we could monitor the situation closely and called them back determined not to have to spend another penny on this. They promptly returned, and Roger spent the whole day checking our system from end to end. Bottom line, we finally had a fully functioning working AC system. We were not billed for this last day of service. |So to summarize, it took 2 repairs and $2500 to fix our faulty HVAC over a span of 3 mos. However, through it all they were courteous, professional and responsive to our complaints. Most importantly, they made things right when the problem persisted. Would I use them again? Hard to say. Likely so as we will remember the good service and concern for their reputation over the false starts. We do not expect perfection from people we consult but we do expect them to solve the problem and stand by their repair. Classic Aire Care did that so we are satisfied.

Description of Work: The last service was to check furnace as part of annual contract. We have used Classic Aire and their predecessor for 20 years and have been very satisfied with the service. This service was mostly for HVAC but we have used their plumbing service. That is where I thought the price was on the high side.
