+ -1 moreI purchased a new AC unit last summer. When firing it up last month, the motor was dead and required a replacement. The motor had to be ordered, and I was told they would cover the cost of the motor (I should hope so), but I'd have to pay for the installation. I feel that, when purchasing a piece of equipment that expensive, one expects both the vendor and manufacturer to fully stand behind their products. Obviously, they did not. I tried to call the service manager to discuss this, but had to leave a message since he wasn't available. No return call. When the repair person came out to do the installation, I also asked him to have the service manager call. Again, no follow through. CAC also schedules for full day windows. For many households, that is simply not manageable. We have jobs, and I think the CAC policy is simply indicative that they are taking their customers' needs seriously. I have no complaints about the service technician that did the repair

+ -1 moreI thought I was calling Faszold but apparently they were bought by Classic Aire. The person that came out had zero interest in fixing my hot water heater. Once he saw how old it was he only wanted to sell a new one. I had bought a new AC from Faszold because when the person came out to give me a quote he charged my existing unit which needed replacing. It kept us cool until we could get the new unit installed. He actually tried to help and that is why I spent the 10K on the new AC/Heater from them. The person sent out from Classic Aire (was Faszold) was the complete opposite. He did nothing.

+ -1 moreWonderful! They wore mask, did social distancing, courteous, and did everything I instructed them. Also, they call me whenever they come out, and they send out the pictures via email of whose coming in my house to do the job. So far, I have no complains. I recommend them to other people.
Description of Work: I have insurance with them, and they replaced the furnace, air conditioner, and checked the pipes.

+ -1 moreWe've used them for years, back when they were still under another name. It was a three hour job to replace the coil. It seemed to go okay; everything's working fine. The annual maintenance is a contract that you choose. I chose the one where they come out usually in the Fall for the furnace and in the Spring for the air conditioner. I paid the annual maintenance and they did not have to charge for the coil because the company that made the furnace agreed to replace the coil. We've used them so long I'm not really familiar with other places' charges. Their quality of work seems like it's okay. They've always done a good job and we're happy with their service. It's not always the same service people who come out. Sometimes I see the same people, but it's different people. I think they're growing. They're always very neat looking and usually very nice.
Description of Work: It was a problem with the coil. They did their annual maintenance for the air conditioner and they discovered that I was losing freon. So they discovered that the coil needed to be replaced, and from what I understand it might be a problem with the model . I just got a new one about maybe two or three years ago. They had to order the coil.

+ -1 moreThey've had to come back several times on one issue, they couldn't get the right part, or they ordered the wrong part, we were never really able to determine what the problem there was, but they're attempting to fix it for us free of charge, so I don't have a complaint really. They figured it out immediately that they had the wrong part, because it wasn't performing, but it's been an on-going issue. Worker's are very friendly and I would say very professional, but then I wonder why they were unable to recognize which part it is they should have ordered in the first place. They clean-up well. I compliment their overall friendliness and responsiveness. Improvement, pay a little bit closer attention to parts that they order, and get the numbers right.
Description of Work: They do a bi-yearly inspection and they've also been working on some plumbing for us.

+ -1 moreAWFUL ---- AWFUL ---- AWFUL. NOW I HAVE TO PAY ANOTHER SEVERAL THOUSAND TO GET THE BASEMENT CLEANED UP. And the owner has the gulls to call me and threaten to send the cops to collect on his fraudulent invoice!!!! I paid for the same exact service 5 years ago at $305 - I am happy to pay for his services at the fair and reasonable rate of trip fee, one hour of work and what the pump would cost ANYONE, even retail, so they get their markup but to charge $567 for something they pay $200 for when i do all the work to find it??? All because I was in a dyer situation? that is GREED at its best. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY. WATCH YOUR POCKET.
Description of Work: It's been raining off an on for several days here. And I had a sump pump go out. I knew my house would flood due to the nature of our lot. I could not somehow convince their office about this major threat! They said they called "everyone" and couldn't find a 3/4 HP pump (which is what my house has) in town and it'll be 2-3 weeks before they can get it. Feeling the threat of flooding, I decided to search myself. I called Wholesale Plumbing (the well known plumbing supplier here in town) and within minutes found the pump there. So their office didn't call A MAJOR plumbing supply company which everyone calls first to salvage my house from flooding. I asked Wholesale Plumbing what my (retail) price was and he said $318. Finally, when Classic sent the plumber, with the pump I FOUND (not them) he gives me a bill for $845!!!!!!!!! I don't know any better and was just grateful that someone showed. And paid, no arguments. After the plumber left, I had a chance to look at the invoice: he spent one hour at $130 but charged me for 1.5 hours, one trip fee at $60, some misc. parts, and one pump at $567! What????? $567??? I know my RETAIL price was $318, how did they figure they can get away with charging a customer $567 when they even pay much less than I would retail ($200 WHOLESALE)? WOW I felt taken!!! So I put a stop on the check with the bank! I pay for anything I use but this was absolutely absurd which led me to become a member of Angie's List just to forewarn people about this company. They are into fraudulent billing so watch out. And I forgot to mention; My basement flooded!!!!

+ -1 moreExcellent! They send an email letting you know when the technician is on his way, their name, and what their service truck looks like. I thought that was very neat. The work also comes with a 6-month guarantee so they will come back out for free if anything is not working correctly after being serviced.
Description of Work: The water in our basement was backed up. They cleaned out the main sewer line from inside of our house to the outside. They also pumped out the excess water and made sure that the water was draining properly after being cleaned out.

They had one individual who is the project manager, who is for lack of a better expression, the face of the company. So, there was one point of contact. They don't sub-contract their work, it's all in-house. They were professional in their presentation.

Sure they would apply it the cost of the installation but what if they have ridiculous prices? I had previously use them for HVAC maintenance but this nonsense may have push me to another provider for my HVAC needs

+ -1 moreI still don't have heat. The gas company is going to put a 30,000 watt heater on my wall for me. What they did didn't work. I didn't have to pay for it, it was done through a group organization. They goofed the second part up. I tried to get them to just replace the unit on the wall, they needed to do. I told them that I wasn't getting heat, now I'm using a portable heater. If I could get around it, I wouldn't use them again because, every time I look at the hole in my ceiling that is supposed to be putting out heat, if I can find someone else then, I will go around them.
Description of Work: Classic Aire Care Incorporated ran a duct from the furnace, up thru my kitchen pantry, thru the attic and over to my room.

Description of Work: cleaned air conditioner-made bid for 675.00 knowing we needed the service in timely then tacked on another 2950.00 for labor! High priced.

+ -1 moreThey fixed the problem But it very costly and I feel that a part that only cost $15 should not have been billed for $233 I had another problem with my air conditioner the next week and when I talked about my bill with another company they said I was the part should have been only $15 and that they Classic Aire charged me too much. I was not happy called them back The service manager got smart with me and said ..."i'm not going to apologize for anything we did" We were right Nothing was resolved with him ....He was rude and not listening to my complain Not Happy

I have used this company for 10 years and I have never felt ripped off. They have always been very responsive when I called. End of story, the repair was done and I am sitting in a nice cool house writing this review. Thank you Classic Aire Care!
Description of Work: My air conditioning unit was not cooling the house. I discovered this Friday night of course when the weather was predicting 90 degree temperatures all weekend. I tossed and turned all night debating whether I should tough it out until Monday when I would only have to pay the standard service charge rather than overtime on a Saturday. I finally got up my courage and called on Saturday morning. Much to my surprise, the pleasant women on the phone informed me that overtime rates had not started yet and that someone would be able to come to my house in a few hours to see what the problem was.

+ -1 moreThe tech suggested all this additional work was needed, and was pressuring my mom to get it done before we came home. He wanted to sell her a new AC and furnace. They were being very forceful, which I did not appreciate. We hired our regular guys to give a second opinion, and she didn't need any of that done.

+ -1 moreThe furnace is performing great. I had to have a doctor's statement and they repaired the central air system. They were very efficient and they cleaned up also behind their work. Everybody was very professional. The guy overseeing everything was constantly checking, everybody was here to do whatever and if a certain person didn't or wasn't here when they should have been here he was right on top of his job. There was one person on top of everything to see that everything was efficient and whatnot.
Description of Work: Classic Aire Care put in a wall furnace in my bathroom and the basement. They also repaired the central air system.

+ -1 moreThey checked both my home's heating and A/C system as well my rental's heating and A/C system. They said there was no issue with the rental unit, and the A/C wasn't working in July. They came back and put freon in it, which was an additional charge. The freon only lasted about a month before the A/C wasn't working again. I called back and left a message. Both the marketting individual and the technician were very nice. So on July 12th, they came back out to give me a verbal estimate for a new system for my rental. On August 1st, I called and said I never received a written estimate, and they were surprised to hear that. So on August 6th, I received a written estimate.
Description of Work: My friend was the property manager and encouraged me to get a bid from them. They also had an ad in our newspaper for a $75 rebate check if they came out and checked both the air conditioner and furnace.

We also were able to take advantage of $2,000.00 of rebates, which Classic Aire assisted us with. (bringing net cos down to $12,000. We can now also remotely operate our system from our phones from anywhere.
