Description of Work: I did not use service, I only called for estimate to replace system in a house for sale. I did not buy the house. I would otherwise have given consideration to using service; they were courteous, knowledgeable, prices seemed within reason.

Description of Work: I switched to SS&B after many years of using another company. I am very pleased with my first service call. Routine fall maintenance and replacement of blower. Tech was great. The first replacement blower made an annoying noise and he returned it and picked up another to install. It was great to have him acknowledge the noise and not act like it was normal. It was also incredibly nice to not have the service tech try to sell me anything as was the practice of the company we used to use. Time will tell, but at this point I am very happy we switched to SS&B. The approx. cost of service included $199 service contract.

Description of Work: They installed a new furnace, air conditioner, programmable thermostat, sealed ducts, replaced ductwork. After getting several quotes from other companies I was very impressed by ss&b's comprehensive look at what I needed for a quality, energy efficient system. The whole process was quick and easy and I'd definitely choose them again!

Description of Work: They provide semi annual service on heating and cooling. My main complaint is that I learned only by asking that I was always the very last call of the day as my furnace is in the crawl space. They might have told me that so I didn't have to wait all afternoon.

Description of Work: Checked a furnace air cleaner that another company had installed. The other company botched up the whole job. The technician corrected the gaps in the installation and checked the unit out to make sure it was operating properly.

 + -1 moreThey've alwasy been very professional. They're on time, affordable and easily accessible. Our A/C broke down on Friday, and we called them on Saturday and they came out and fixed it.
Description of Work: They fixed our heater as well as our air conditioner. We're currently signed up for semi-annual tune-ups with them.

It is still under warranty so it didn't cost us anything. They did an excellent job, very clean, even putting booties on when they came in to keep the dirt out, cleaned up everything when they left, and there was no mess. They are professional, I give them high ratings, and would use them again in the future.
Description of Work: They put in our furnace October of 2010. We called them back to do some maintenance work this fall.

 + -1 moreThey did an extremely poor job. They said that I needed to have the air duct expanded. I have two heating and air places and they didn't even take the time to figure out which one it was. They said that the air duct that needed to be expanded went to the upstairs unit and it actually went to the downstairs unit. They ended up doing work that didn't need to be done and they didn't do work that needed to be done. They also broke the mirror on my antique dresser. They could have cared less. They actually stood on my dresser instead of using a ladder. I would not recommend them to anybody, especially women. They came in and told me I needed all this stuff done and then they did it wrong. I had used them for a couple of years. They put it in the wrong unit and then it burned out and I had to put in a new air handler and have another company do the ductwork. They had also done a new heating and air unit at my mom's house and I believe it was the incorrect size because it never provided enough heat in the family room area which was only 20 feet away. They ripped me off. They kept coming out telling me things I needed to do.
Description of Work: I used SS&B Heating & Cooling because I was having trouble with my heating and air unit. They said that I didn't have enough air return and needed to have the ductwork expanded.

 + -1 moreI liked them a lot. I think that they are very reputable. They were honest and they did good work. They were careful. I would recommend them. They would come back any day now to do the fall tune up. The last time I had several things done. Then they came back and it wasn't really their fault. But they didn't charge me for the return visit. So I was pleased about that. They found the problem. I thought that they were professional and they knew what they were doing. My next door neighbor also used them and was pleased. Their price is a little higher than the other person that I have used.
Description of Work: I used Ss&B Heating & Cooling probably in July. I have set up a maintenance contract with them.

They had to order a special part for us and they got that as quick as they possibly could. Other than that it was routine. The price was just what it would have been with anyone.
