I was not charged for the service with no issues found and my AC scheduled maintenance plan for the following week was canceled. The technician explained why the AC was running so long without shutting off. He was very helpful.

Excellent service from a great company! SS&B is the only HVAC company I would ever use. They are a locally owned company that values their customers and care about our community. I have consistently received top notch service from them and would highly recommend them for any HVAC needs.

Wonderful company to deal with. The estimate was very reasonable and straightforward. No attempt was made to up sell us in things we didn't need like our prior company did. The work was done very professionally. I love that they use Trane systems which are very reliable according to consumer reports.

Dalton was very professional and worked quickly. He recommended that I also replace another part. I agreed and then he said that he did not carry that part on his truck so it would be an additional $77 service call because he would have to return to SS&B to get the part. I felt his work was excellent but the pricing system is unfair. It clearly was company policy that he was following but that make me reluctant to call them again.

Extremely rude and unable to explain why they want to hold my business accountable for work that is the obligation of the building owner/landlord that was also signed off by and billed to the landlord. My company paid for the service call and the changing of the filters on the heating/ac unit, the landlord/building owner is the responsible party for the replacement of the unit. Was told there was past due invoices on my account that is why I would need to be put on COD status. Then was told they misspoke and the invoices are not on my account, if that is the case then why would I not be able to be billed then? No explanation could be given to me by Amy Coulliette, the office manager. Overall just an extremely unprofessional and poorly ran business, would not recommend trying to deal with them for at all.

SSand B Heating and Cooling were one of 5 HVAC contractors that I had come out to bid the job of replacement of my 24 year old dinosaur of an HVAC System. I was impressed when Mike Childers, the owner of SSand B, was the person who came out to measure my house for the new system. Right away Mike explained the process of taking the measurements, the hows and whys of it all. He was thorough, professional and informative at all times. Something I cannot say about the other 4 companies that came out. Mike wrote up a proposal on the job and thoroughly explained all my options and left me plenty of reading material. He also invited me to come down to their shop and see firsthand the processes involved as well as guiding me to the website of both SSand B and Trane so that I would make a better, more informed choice. After discussing the options with my wife we decided to accept SSand B's proposal and I contacted Mike. I was surprised to learn that he not only had the equipment that we chose in stock , but that they could come out on Friday (only 3 days later) and install my new system. The system I chose to have installed was a 96.7% efficient modulating variable speed furnace with an XV20 air conditioning system rated for up to 20 SEER. As well a Trane Clean Effects electronic air cleaner and an Nexia Comfort link II Thermostat that is totally cool and I can control with my smartphone!!!! On Friday Morning Mike showed up on time and introduced me to 2 of the 3 techs that would be installing my system ( the third tech arrived later) . Bill, Davey, and Chris were the ultimate in professional. They were knowledgeable about their equipment and how to install it in the best manner for our home. They were respectful of our house wearing booties indoor and laying down tarps to protect the flooring. They worked all day with very few brakes, and kept to task. They explained what they were doing when I had questions and explained the entire system to me once it was installed and they went above and beyond for this job. The new system is running and is amazing! The difference is night and day! I cannot wait to see my new power bill! And speaking of which Mike even prepared all the paperwork for the local utility companies rebates for me ($815.00) All i had to do was sign and mail out to them! All in all the Price was what I expected to pay for a high end system and they have a customer for life! Thank you SSand B for a job well done!

I could tell from the start that this company was going to provide quality equipment and excellent service. My 22-year-old home's furnace and air conditioner needed to be replaced but I was unsure both about what brand of equipment to purchase and the company that should install it. A May, 2012, YouTUbe video by Consumer Reports helped identify the brand and, after inviting four different Heating/Cooling company representatives to my home, I identified which one would likely do the best install. From reading reviews on the Internet I knew that, even if the equipment was high quality, a poor installation could ruin everything. For me, then, it was clear that I needed quality equipment that would be properly installed. SSand B provided both. Several of my neighbors had the same brand of equipment and were very satisfied with its performance. Several had also used SSand B for their heating and air conditioning needs and were very happy with their work. Unlike the other three heating/cooling company representatives, the representative from SSand B spent a long time in my home asking about my heating/air-conditioning needs, carefully measuring the size of my home and how many square feet of window faced each direction, examining my crawl space (finding numerous leaks in my venting - a problem no other company even bothered to look for) and looked in my attic to determine the condition of my cold-air returns and the approximate R (insulating) value of my home's insulation. I got quite an education as we discussed the various types and sizes of furnaces and air conditioners. I settled on the one that would be best for me and within a week my old system was removed and my new system was installed. The installation took only 8 hours and the two men sent to do the work were skilled, focused, polite and did an excellent job. I would highly recommend SSand B to anyone with heating and/or air conditioning needs.

Great job overall. During bidding process, they performed a and quot;manual Jand quot; calculation to determine what size a/c unit I needed. They recommended a 3 ton size. Other bidders did not do this calculation and all guessed I needed a 4 ton unit. Made it thru the summer of 2012 just fine despite 17 plus days of 100 degree heat. After scheduling this summers service call to perform normal preventative maintenance, SSand B called me back and said they rechecked their records and found they owed me a free service checkup. Very honest and dependable company.
