Description of Work: Tear out old and installed two new garage doors and openers. Although the openers we got were some of the better ones, they seem to be quite noisy when opening. The doors squeak and groan more than the old ones taken out and they were 20+ yrs old. I have greased and oiled them and it helped but I still think they shouldn't be so loud. The installer kind of just ran the opener wires diagonally across the ceiling. It would have looked more professional had he run them parallel to the support beam, Minor cosmetic detail. All three of our vehicles have the programmable door opener buttons in them. Of the three, only our Toyota could be programmed to connect with both doors. Our Lexus finally coded with one door and I gave up trying to code the 2nd door. Our Ford truck never could code with the doors so I have to still use the little remote. I would think that OD could make the openers easier to code to vehicles instead of running back and forth between the vehicle and up the ladder to the unit. I think if I ever had new openers installed again, I wouldn't let the installer leave until he programmed my cars too. ;-)

Description of Work: The cable-chain for the opener came loose, and the door would not open. Technician replaced the sprocket that holds the cable-chain in place. Garage door opener now works.

Description of Work: My overhead door to the garage was "broken" and I could not get my car out to go to work. The Overhead Door Company of Springfield was wonderful, and I would absolutely use them again, but hope I won't need to do so! I don't remember what date it was, but I won't forget this company.

Description of Work: New door closer was installed. Prompt and effective. I am not satisfied with the remoter unit, it is hard to trigger. I have to stop in the driveway and try and try to make it work. I will contact the company.

Description of Work: I bought a belt to run the garage door opener and installed it myself. Previously Overhead door came out to repair a non-working garage door opener. It was covered by my landlord so I don't know how much it cost but the technician did a good, fast job and had it working within a half hour.
