It went very well with them. They were very professional and ready to answer any questions. They were very courteous and explained our options. They made sure that what we chose met our neighborhood government restrictions as well. They cleaned up after themselves every day and did their best not to be disruptive when they were tearing off and putting on the new roof. They did a quality job so I think it's going to last many years.

My parents' roof started leaking near their chimney so I called Jimmy at A-1 Guarantee Roofing. I love this company because they've worked on our roof several times and they've always done quality work for a fair price. They've earned our trust and respect---and our business. Jimmy did an excellent job repairing my parents' roof. Not only does A-1 do professional, quality work, but they're genuinely nice people to work with. My mom and dad are in their 80s and Jimmy treated them like family. He brought color samples of shingles and nailed them on my existing roof so I could easily make my color choice. He got back with me immediately when I had questions or needed help. They did very well. They solved our problem that we've been having for the past five years.

Several shingles blew off of our roof during a windy storm. We were expecting rain and sleet in the next couple of days so I was anxious to get our roof fixed as soon as possible. I had a bad (and painfully expensive) experience with another A-rated company that turned out to be just a guy with a business card and a "company" t-shirt falsely claiming to be licensed, bonded, and insured. I learned my lesson and did my research. A1 Guaranteed Roofing is a family-owned business that's been around for over 20 years, they're a brick-and-mortar company with insurance, excellent references, terrific service, and a well-deserved A rating on Angie's List. When I called A1 Roofing they said there were so many roofs damaged during the storm, they weren't sure if they could schedule my repair before the next storm. Fortunately, they managed to send out a two-man crew and repair our roof before the next storm hit. That's great service! We're going to need a new roof in a few years and I'm so relieved that I've found a roofing company that I can depend on.

Troy was the A-! representative who made the initial contact. I was prepared to accept a lesser quality roof from our insurance company but Troy explained to me that my policy was to cover a replacement of "like-kind" material and that he would work with the insurance company to insure that we would receive a high quality roofing product. He made it happen and I was shocked! The roofing team members were very professional and kept the premises clean and neat. Each day after leaving our home you could not tell from the yard or driveway that we had had 8-10 workers there--everything was neat and tidy. The foreman on the project was very informative and worked to make it convenient for us. The roof is beautiful. Our neighbors are pleased and we are very very happy. I would use A-1 again and recommend them to my friends.

A-1 representative came out an looked to confirm my assessment of the problem, provided an quote, and said would return to fix when stopped raining. Came back 2 days right after the rain and roof drying resealed the roof. I was not there and they called to tell me what was done and that they could not guarantee but were confident the repair would hold. Has not rained since so I can't confirm if successful, but I have confidence it was.

The owner's son, Jimmy, inspected our roof. Jimmy is professional, thorough, honest, friendly, well-groomed, helpful, etc. He said our roof would probably hold up for another five years, but there were areas near our chimney that he was concerned about that we should keep an eye on. He took his time answering all of my questions about maintaining our roof and chimneys which was very appreciated because the inspection was free and I know he has a busy schedule. I was so impressed with his service that I tried to tip him before he left and he refused to take a tip! Not only did he give me sound advice about our roof, but I asked him if he could recommend an honest, experienced carpenter and he said the carpenter his father uses is excellent. He called me that day to give me the carpenters contact information. A1 is a REAL company. Many of the companies on Angie's List aren't companies. They're just guys with a company logo on their t-shirt and a business card. A roofer we hired last year advertises that he's licensed and insured, but he's not licensed or insured. Workman's Comp Insurance adds about 30% to the cost of roofing. Unethical roofers advertise that they have insurance, but don't and can easily underbid legitimate companies who provide insurance. There is very little leverage to get your money back or the work redone if they do a bad job. Check out A1's website for more information. We're going to hire A1 for all of our future roofing needs.

Overall this was a good experience. Contract was signed & set up for mid-late Sept installation. We had to push them when we had heard nothing by mid October. Some minor issues with communication but job was done well and clean-up was exceptional.

Before engaging A-!, my wife and i did extensive research on roofing and roofing companies, finally soliciting proposals from three of the top firms in the area. We ultimately chose A-1, based on the fact that it was a family-owned business, with a long history in the area and a great reputation. We also were most impressed by A-1's representative and his presentation, as well as his patient and helpful explanation of the roofing purchasing and installation processes. He made himself readily available for further consultation by telephone, email and return visits. The installation crew demonstrated the same professionalism. Before starting work, the head of the crew went over the process, explaining how they would proceed, what we should expect, how long it would take, etc. He managed his team beautifully, working hard himself but keeping a close eye on the work of the others. We had learned from watching the roofing work at our neighbors' home that a roofing project could be messy and inconvenient. Not with this crew. They picked up as they went, not waiting until the end of the day (or the end of the job, as we observed at other projects). And, of course, they did a stellar job on the roof! We were equally happy with the office staff we dealt with.

What a joy it was to have A-1 Guarantee Roofing Company put a new roof on our house and storage building. Their workers made it look easy; they were very professional as was the company. We were not inconvenienced as they did the work and we were amazed that they were in and out so quickly. Their estimator, Troy, explained exactly what needed to be done and what expense it might incur. He explained it in ways that a novice would understand. They did good job and they did an excellent clean up. They were very efficient with their time and what they did. They did it all in just one day. It was pretty impressive.

Even though we have not been through a winter yet or severe weather since we have had our new roof installed, we are confident that it will do the job A1 says it will. We were extremely pleased with their responsiveness and communication through the entire process from the bid to the final paperwork. We would recommend them to anyone and already have. Also the roof looks great! Very pleased with it!

Great Service from the estimate to completion. The sales representative was very helpfull in picking out the correct materials for our repair, and gave us addresses of their completed jobs to check out. He helped us through the process and worked with our insurance company to get the insurance estimate corrected. Troy was great to work with and is a great asset to A1. The work was done very professionally. The workers were courteous and very hard working. They kept the yard very clean through the roofing process, and when they were done you could not tell they had ever been here. If I could rate A1 higher than an "A" I would. The roof looks great and, A GREAT BIG THANKS FOR GREAT SERVICE.

It went great. They came when they said they would, and finished when they said they would. They cleaned up every night, and at the end of the job, besides my new roof, you wouldn't have known they were ever here. Troy was great!!! He is very knowledgeable, and very professional. The overall experience was outstanding. Never had to have any work done. Troy did his inspection and determined that nothing was wrong with the roof. Glad I researched a roofer from Angie's List......!!!!

Those guys are absolutely wonderful! They did a wonderful job, they cleaned up and I was very pleased! I was very, very happy with them.

I was told by Troy Johnson that it was "a structurally sound deck and shingles" and "I wish I could sell you a roof". This company was 1 of 4 Angie's "A-Listed" roofing companies I requested for an estimate. Obviously very honest, and I would request them when I have to have roof work done.

I called two roofing companies to inspect a small "bump-up of shingles on my roof. A-1 was the first to respond (the other company got back with me to make an appointment over a week after A-1 inspected my roof). On the appointed day, the estimator from A-1 arrived at my home. He was very professional, neatly dressed, yet very personable. He inspected the area of concern as well as the whole roof (I have a very high roof-line). He advised me that it was more of an esthetic issue at the present time, was the result of settling and there would be most likely be more settling over time. He did tell me that, overall, the roof looked pretty good . He did advise it could be repaired for $400 if the appearance of the shingles concerned me. I opted to hold off on any repair of the roof. I felt comfortable with his input on the matter and there was no cost on my part for the inspection. In the future, I would be very comfortable using A-1 for any roofing issues I might have.

I had to call back a couple of times to get the appointment for the initial estimate. Then I had to call again to get the estimator to show up. I was promised the bid would be emailed to me by the end of the week. When I hadn't heard anything after 8 days I called and asked about it. Finally got the bid emailed to me. I liked the price and quality of materials offered so I signed the bid to accept it. I was told they were about 3 weeks out, that was fine. However, I told the salesman (Bud) there was one specific week I'd be out of state and I didn't want them working on my roof while I was gone. The day I left town, someone from their office called to let me know they had just delivered the materials to my house and it was all loaded on my roof and they'd be starting work the next day...SERIOUSLY??? I told them I was out of town and had asked them NOT to work on my house that week. I was worried about the weight of all that material sitting on the roof of my 75 year old house if they waited until I got back. They told me it would "probably" be ok. I called a friend and he offered to oversee the project while I was gone so I could get the weight off the roof. They did the job and it seems fine except they damaged one of my gutters and left a walk board on my pergola that I can't reach...THANKS!! I told Bud when he called me to come by and inspect the job (2 weeks after the job was done and after I'd already paid them) He did his inspection and I never heard from them again. Nothing was done about my gutter or the walk board.

They came in and gave me a bid. I had some hail damage and my State Farm agent was totally okay with the bid. They did the job to specification. They were very neat and efficient. The billing was no problem; it was all handled through my agent. Except for, I added an upgrade and we put a 30-year shingle on the roof instead of a 20-year. I just paid the extra with a check separate from the insurance claim.

A1 Roofing was fantastic. They priced really well. They came at the date they said they would get there and they were done within days. When my wife is leaving to go to work, one of them just noticed her leaving and they completely stopped to make sure that she heads out without getting hurt. They did not play music and they did not use swear words.

Did not select contractor for the work.

Services were quoted and delivered professionally, and at a fair rate. I would trust A-1 to do more work for sure.
