Worked with Dennis on a quote for our house. He took a lot of time explaining options and providing updated contracts with different product and selections. Once the contract was agreed upon the windows were ordered. I was never asked for a deposit. The install date was less than three weeks from the contract agreement date. Eddie Managed the install and was amazingly easy to work with. He took time to explain anything we wanted. Max (the company mascot) stayed in the equipment trailer and supervised from afar. The crew was very respectful of our property and took extreme pride in their work. Their attention to detail was fantastic. We also spent time talking with Max and sharing milk bones with him. Cleanup of the job site was done well and the crew left both the inside and out in better condition than it was in before their arrival.

Great, a true professional. He recommend I just replace the glass as it sounded like that was all that needed done and gave me a number of a glass replacement company. They could have pushed his total replacement service but did not and passed me on to another company to save me money!!

The job was done beautifully! I had high expectations from all the positive reviews on Angie's List but Zen Windows exceeded them. The door is perfect! The price was just as they had bid....absolutely no surprises. They showed up on time and were pleasant and professional. I cannot believe how good this door looks. They did the small details that I didn't expect, like covering the outer wood facing below the door with vinyl. The door is a huge improvement over the old contractor grade door. They started and finished in about 3 hours, and took the old door with them. No messes left on the job, not one nail or piece of trim. All the small details are perfect. My correspondence with Dennis left no questions unanswered and he was not rushed or pushy, and did not pressure me for additional items. He was very helpful in assisting with the door selection and I am very happy with the door. I will recommend Zen Windows to anyone who needs their services. 110% satisfied!

This is the second time they've installed windows in my rental property. They've been EXTREMELY FLEXIBLE with timing, since I ended up delaying one of the windows I originally ordered, and combined it with the installation of three windows months later. They make it a point to see that you're happy and fully informed following up via phone and email, and their installer Ed will do the extra work to make sure the installed window looks good and is up to his standard. Unlike a lot of other contractors, I don't have to ask for receipts. They're excellent at getting all the paperwork to you in a timely manner.

He didn't come out, he sent me a quote via email. He was very responsive. I was ready to go with them and then we got a little bit slightly lower bid from another company and they said they could get out sooner. They were excellent.

It went really well. They got me in faster than I thought they could. It was a cold day and the man that came was very pleasant and efficient. I had four windows installed and they were done very professionally. The windows look good and I’m happy with their appearance. The installer was very pleasant and professional.

First, I contacted Dennis, owner of Zen Windows in St. Louis, via e-mail asking for an estimate to get my windows replaced. Dennis replied via e-mail with an estimate within 15 minutes. I then called Dennis and talked with him directly. He seemed to be the real deal so I agreed to the deal and accepted his bid. He had his lead installer, Eddie, come by my house and measure the window sizes. Eddie was very friendly, knowledgeable, and capable. Dennis oredered the windows from the Zen shop in Columbus, Ohio. An installation date and time was set. Dennis and his side kick, Cody, arrived at our house 30 minutes late due to a problem with lack of supplies that they had to pick up on the way to my house. When they arrived, they went straight to work. Cody laid down drop cloths while Eddie took out the first of the nine windows. They worked steady for until 4:30 pm. Cody ate his lunch while working and Eddie ate his lunch while he watched Cody work. After the work was finished, they cleaned up their whole mess, including vacuuming the house and picking up the scrap outside. They asked me to inspect their work. They told me about the warranty and asked if I had any questions. I told them know and I shook their hands. They make a good team. After they left, I called Rhonda, Dennis's wife and co-owner of Zen Windows, and gave her my credit card number to pay for the windows. Rhonda asked if I had any questions. She told me that the windows were guaranteed for life, to include parts and labor. The friendliness and professionalism of everyone at Zen Windows was very impressive. Also, I got other estimates for the work done by Zen Windows. All estimates were similar. I think I made the right decision in choosing Zen Windows.

Would definitely hire again for any window or glass door work.

Couldn't be happier with the results. We just had 3 windows replaced this time and we intend to have another section done by zen in the near future.

Zen Windows is amazing! I couldn't have asked for a better experience with Dennis, Eddie, and Cody. From start to finish, everything was top notch and professional. The price was reasonable (it's an expensive window) and the service provided went beyond my expectations. I never felt pressured and all of my questions were answered involving the ordering and installation process. I felt like I was their only priority. I will be using them again next summer when I replace more windows in my home. You will not be disappointed with them. I wish everyone I have to hire was like them!

Dennis was a joy to work with and his installers were extremely professional. A very laid back low pressure approach coupled with excellent service and high quality materials. So pleased with this experience that I am currently looking to order both another door and windows for my condo.Highly recommended.

Zen has beautiful windows at amazing prices. They care a great deal about making sure their customers are happy with their windows; they check in before and after the install to make sure everything is to your liking and respond quickly to any questions I had whether via email or phone. They were happy to work with my schedule to get in the windows as early as possible, and were very flexible when I needed time to make sure everything fit in the calendar. The install team was friendly and did an amazing job; the windows themselves are beautiful and easy to use, the awnings in place before were dealt with carefully, and attention to detail e.g. caulking, capping, make the windows look far better than I'd expected. Ed, their installer, has decades of experience, and it really showed. The regular price for double hung, energy star windows was lower at Zen than I found elsewhere, and there was no money down or added fees as part of the install. The price they quote is per window, and the only addition fee is if lead containment is required. I suspect they would be less expensive than even "entry-level" windows from other installers, once you factor all of the parts and labor that went into the replacement, but are much higher quality with better guarantees. I will definitely be using them for future projects.

They arrived early day of installation, calling ahead to make sure it was ok. They set up, maintained a clean working are. Cleaned up completely after installation. I was given operational instructions as well as precautions while setting up. The window is beautiful. And looks like it was made for my home. The tinted glass will cut down on sunrise glare in my kitchen.

The job went very well. When I emailed Dennis Riley, the owner to find out about the deal I saw on Angie's List, he got back to me within 24 hours with all of the details. After a few more emails with questions, we scheduled a measurement visit. Ed, who would be the installer as well, came out within 24 hours or so of us agreeing to the appointment. He was very nice, personable and knowledgeable. Then we got the estimate with full disclosures by email about what was covered, etc. I called Dennis to accept the offer and he was very appreciative of our business and keen to make sure that everything was done to our satisfaction. We did not have to put a deposit down, even though he went ahead and ordered the windows to our measurements. We had to pay a bit more to install each window than was advertised on the Angie's List offer, due to lead paint clean-up on the windowsills in our old house, maybe only about $30-40 more per window. But the initial offer had indicated that would be the case, so we weren't surprised and were happy to pay. About 2 weeks after Dennis ordered the windows (maybe even less, I can't quite remember), Ed called to tell me they had come in and we scheduled an installation for the very next day at 8 am--extremely convenient!!! Ed came out exactly on time, with another guy to help, and the two of them worked efficiently, quickly, and cleanly. They had a large truck trailer with all of the necessary equipment to wrap the sills and install the windows. They were finished within 2-1/2 hours and the windows look great--from the inside and outside. I can't emphasize enough how neat they were. Also, Ed, the installer was very personable and knowledgeable--he and Dennis really want to go out of their way to make sure the customer is satisfied. I paid by check for the entire project only AFTER the work was completed and I had inspected it, as Dennis and Ed had said. Overall, I'm extremely satisfied with Zen Windows from start to finish. Of course, time will tell how the windows hold up against weather, etc., but since there is a lifetime guarantee on the products and labor, I'm not too worried. Would definitely recommend them to friends, neighbors and Angie's List customers.

This was easily the best and smoothest home renovation project that I have ever been involved in, and we have done a lot with our 115 yr old home. Generally I do most of my projects on my own, but with job responsibilities increasing I just didn't have time to tackle installing 12 windows (10 of which are on the second floor). We contacted Dennis Riley, of Zen Windows, and within minutes we knew this was going to be a different, and positive, experience. Dennis was able to give us a quote for the job (which was spot on) and was eager to answer our questions. There was no pressure... NONE. Actually, that was the strangest part. We have been conditioned to expect companies to clamour for our business; Zen gives you all the information that you need to make your decision... And then they let you make your decision! Once we made our decision the process remained incredibly smooth. Eddie, the window installer, came out and measured our windows, windows were ordered and about two weeks later they were going in. Eddie, and his crew, were the most professional and pleasant group of guys I have ever had working on a renovation project. They explained the process, engaged in friendly conversation when they could, cleaned up after themselves as they went along and were extremely respectful of our home. AND THERE WAS NO FOUL LANGUAGE! This is huge! We are all adults and I understand how things can get (and I have been around my fair share of construction workers and laborers), but I did not hear one bit of questionable conversation all day. It does a lot to set a home owner at ease. The windows are in... And we have already seen a decrease in the AC usage, as the home is now more energy efficient. The street noise is almost non-existent. We have 7 more windows to do on the first floor. Initially, we were going to do them ourselves, but we will leave it in the capable hands of Zen Windows and their installation crew. Went very well. Excellent communication, punctual and friendly staff. They used cloths to cover all my carpet and cleaned up all their mess. Left my house cleaner than it was when they arrived. Wow! Will use again or refer to others.

A week or so before, I saw the coupon on Angie's list for this company and then googled pricing, etc. On April 30th, I emailed the owner, Dennis with a question and gave my phone number. He called that same evening, explained the offer and answered my questions. These are high quality double hung Energy Star windows with Low E coating and Argon gas in between the panes. I decided this was a good deal and purchased the coupon on Angie's list. Dennis called the next day and we went over the type of windows I needed and said the installer would call to make appointment to come out and measure, etc. The installer, Ed, called me the next day and came out within the next day or two after I got home from work. Ed has been installing windows for 20 years. Both Dennis and Ed were a pleasure to work with from order to installation. Dennis contacted me on 5/19 to let me know my order had arrived. Ed called same day and had an opening the next day, however I had a conflict so I set it up for the following week. Installation was set for 9am and Ed and Cody arrived promptly, were very courteous and friendly. They finished the job at 1:30p and the windows are beautiful. They are also tinted. Looking out from the inside, they look perfectly clear but looking in from the outside, you can barely see in although I'm sure you could at night with lights on inside. Ed showed me how to operate them and movement is effortless whether you're opening/closing them or tilting bottom or top in for cleaning. They also have window stops (which you can hardly see when not activated). Ed and Cody had put down drop cloths in the work area and cleaned up very nicely inside and out. Last year, I had 2 other windows replaced. They are good windows but like the Zen windows much better....wish I would have waited! I highly recommend this company!

They were supposed to arrive early afternoon but the job prior to mine took much longer than they expected so i okayed them to come at 5pm. (They called continually through the afternoon to apologize and keep me updated). It was supposed to be a 1-2 hour job but like most improvements to my house (1960 brick tri-level), this job took much longer than they thought as well. They worked until about 11pm until the job was finished. I didn't mind because I was staying up late and had the next day off. I'm sure they would have rescheduled if they had any idea it would take this long but they persevered and the window is top quality and the new casing looks great. I need to replace all my windows and I like how Zen stayed in communication with me up until the job date and they followed up to make sure I was satisfied. They also sent me a lifetime guarantee which can be transferred to the buyer of my home should I want to sell it.

I don't usually write a lot of reviews, but what a pleasant experience dealing with Zen Windows. From dealing with the owner over the phone, to meeting with the installer, the customer service of this company was excellent. My calls to the office were answered promptly and their installer called ahead to let me know what time he would be coming. And he even showed up on time! It definitely wasn't one of those companies where you needed to be home and they would arrive sometime between "8:00 am and 5:00 pm." The installer came to examine the windows from the outside and inside of the house. I was shocked as the installer entered our home and removed his shoes at the door, so that he would not track dirt in from other jobs he had been doing outside that day. He inspected the windows and showed us what parts would be more expensive to repair then to replace. We were hoping that the windows would be able to just be repaired. It was determined that some of the windows that had excessive drafts, broken hardware and broken ballasts were beyond repair and would be cheaper to replace than repair in the future, although they remain functional (but not energy efficient) at this time. The no-pressure quote that we received over the phone was fast and painless. We are now budgeting to replace these windows in the future. We were pleased with the options in price and quality of the replacement windows, too. And I really liked that their windows come with a life-time warranty. what a great way to buy windows, I was able to get a quote and buy windows over the phone without having a salesman come to my house. I would defiantly recommend zen windows stl and will be using them again.
