Woodard Cleaning & Restoration Services

Woodard was on the scene within an hour of our call. They did a thorough assessment of our situation. The Woodard rep worked closely with our insurance adjuster to come to full agreement on what needed to be done. They tore out damaged drywall and carpet and installed heaters and dehumidifiers. Following two weeks of dry-out, the Woodard crew began the rebuild on the lower level. After the hardwood dried completely, they arranged a complete refinishing. In all instances, the work of Woodard and its subcontractor was excellent. They handled all details making this experience as painless as possible. The Woodard crew chief was very attentive to our needs. Would highly recommend.

I had previously left an "F" rating review on December 18th. This is a followup review to that review for the same job. Appealing to the representative on the emergency line worked! Almost immediately the gears got into motion and the job started right away. Within a week or so, our drywall was reconstructed and all of the walls were repainted in our master bedroom. Even with the job going over the Christmas holidays, a time that I assume gets busy, things got completed. Dan, the new rep that worked the job was outstanding and extremely responsive. He accommodated our busy schedules each time we needed to meet. He bent over backwards to make sure that everything went as smoothly as possible. At this point, I am satisfied with the work that Woodard has done and I have actually already hired them again for another job.

My mother, 88 years old, has fragile skin which she cut on the edge of her walker early on a Sunday morning. As she moved to the telephone to call for help she left a 25? trail of blood on her 2 years old white carpet. After the paramedics left, we called Woodard to see if they could assist with the blood stained carpet. Mary took the call, I e-mailed her iPhone images of the stains, she said we can have a technician there within 2 hours. Within an hour, Byron, the Woodard technician arrived and assessed the situation. He extended extraction hoses from his service truck through the 2nd floor window of her condominium and went to work. He told us that although the carpet looked great when he was finished, it is possible that when it completely dries some blood stains may wick up from the carpet backing and if that happens to call back. Indeed, a few of the blood stains reappeared the next day. Byron came back at No Charge and did a second treatment. The white carpet looks Great, Thanks to Mary and Byron!

They came when they said they would. They suggested additional services and called with the price. They returned the rugs when promised. They even moved furniture to put the rugs back in place. The rugs look wonderful. One rug had an old dog stain that is no longer there. We couldn't be happier (unless it was free).

My 93 year old, legally blind mother lives in St. Louis; I live in Virginia. When she called to tell me about the accident, I knew it would be difficult for her to arrange for the repairs and that I would have to handle them long distance (due to my husband's health issues that precluded traveling.) So I choose to go with her insurance's (USAA) Direct Repair Program ?PDRP?, instead of personally researching and getting estimates from multiple companies. Fortunately, USAA's preferred contractor for the project was Woodard, also an Angie's A Rated contractor. Thanks to the Woodard team the project was accomplished without incident and in a timely manner. The Woodard team was professional, prompt, and responsive and the house looks as good, if not better, than it did prior to the accident. Brandon, the Superintendent, and Paul, the Project Manager, were exceptional at keeping me informed of the status of the project. I couldn't have know more if I had physically been on site. They went above and beyond - they sent me pictures so that I could see for myself the damage and later the finished project and even sent pictures and some measurements of damage to personal property so that I could complete that portion of the claim. My mother was also very pleased with the entire Woodard team. She is planning on using Woodard to clean the rest of her carpeting sometime in the near future. I would not hesitate to use Woodard in the future or to recommend them to others. Our thanks to the entire Woodard team for doing an outstanding job.

They were professional, on time and we were happy with the results.

They arrived at the appointed time to pick up and deliver the rugs. They carefully moved all of the furniture as needed to roll-up the carpets to remove the rugs; and likewise moved and returned all of the furniture to its proper place to return the rugs. They did a great job removing a stain and made a few repairs as needed. Everyone involved in scheduling and performing the work was very professional and friendly. We certainly plan to use them again in the future.

They are excellent. They're were reliable at the time they came. They were here exactly when they said they would be here. Three men who came were polite and very accommodating. The workmanship that they did was outstanding. After finishing a day of work, they cleaned up beautifully. The final product was very acceptable.

A couple guys came out and before they started told us the the carptet was junk and not worth cleaning. We took their advice and did not have the carpet cleaned. We pulled the carpet and had hardwood refinished. They lost a $100 job but made it up in goodwill and customer setvice. We use them quite a bit and will continue to.

They are very professional, but polite. They did an excellent job on the furniture. I've had them clean my carpets. I've always been very happy with them.

They did an excellent job, picking up and returning the rugs, removing stains and odor. I wish they were a little less expensive, but they are so good it really doesn't matter. We have used them before, and we will use them again.

Ethan did a fantastic job of cleaning all the carpet! He is professional and very personable. He was extremely careful in his work and I appreciate having someone of Ethan's caliber in my home. Woodard's customer service is fantastic, too! I have been using Woodward for a number of years. I tried other carpet cleaning companies in the past and was not happy with the results. I continue to use Woodard because the quality of work and customer service stands out above the rest.

Our experience was excellent. They were on time and very professional; also very thorough. Willing to go the extra mile.

Dropped off the rugs and were surprised as to how expensive it was going to be. We originally were going to have 5 rugs done but decided to only do 3. We were told that they would be able to clean the rugs for X amount of money but that would only clean the rugs and would not de-deodorize them. To do this it would be an added charge. We were told that the deodorize treatment would remove all odors from the rugs. We were told that we would have the rugs back in a week. We did not get a call to tell us that the rugs were ready so we called and were told that we would be able to pick them up on Saturday. On Friday afternoon I get a call from them telling me that while cleaning one of the rugs they encountered some bleed through of red which was used to draw out the pattern for the rug. At no time were we told that this could possibly happen. We were told that they would like to keep the rug for a bit longer to try to rectify this. They kept the rugs for another 1/2 week and then told they were ready for pick up. When I got the rugs home I was really surprised as the rugs appeared to only have been vacuumed and repaired. They still appeared to be dirty and they still had a lot of odors to them. We called and they offered to come out to clean them again at our home or to pick them up and take them back to their facility to re-clean them. Due to our circumstances neither of these were a good so they offered a $100.00 refund. We took that but to be honest it should have been a full refund. I doubt strongly that we will go back to them again even though they attempted to make things right.

It was really well done. The job was impeccable and really professional. They were super professional. There was nothing that bugged me that wasn’t my own mistake. They would run the carpet, but that would have been an extra charge so I hauled it in and that was kind of a pain. They are super busy because they are really popular and really good at what they do. A couple of times, I had to wait a little bit, but I didn’t mind because I knew I was getting really good service and getting the job done right. With regard to price, they are higher end, but I really wanted it done right. I don’t clean my rugs often. This was an expensive rug; for me it was expensive, it might not be for other people. Even though they are busy, they are really good at treating their customers well. I would definitely use them again in the future.

One of the carpets was a handmade pakastani rug. I could see that the carpet edges were in need of repair and the fringes needed to be reknotted to maintain the integrity of the rug. My issue with Woodard was that they gave me a very authoritative-sounding assessment of the quality and age and style of carpet, stating it was early 20th century, finely made from special wool, etc. They were careful to say they could not give a dollar value to the rug, but I was lead to believe it was worth spending over 250 dollars to have the cleaning and repairs done on a used rug I had purchased for less than $150. When I showed the rug to a fine handmade and antique carpets dealer in the Central West End, he said the rug is indeed Pakastani, but was no more than 35 years old and not particularly valuable, although it is sturdy and usable. I do not know that I would have made the same decision to spend a lot of money on a so-so rug, had I received a more accurate assessment, or no assessment at all, given that the information they gave me at Woodard was not factual. In the end, I felt misled. 8/10/2014 As an update to the above, Scott from Woodard called me and asked to "make things right" - he said he would speak with the employees involved about the impression I had received from them regarding the value of the rug, and he offered to refund my cost for having the oriental carpet cleaned and repaired. I felt he was responsive, professional and fair in his resolution. I was impressed with his calling me and wanting to do the right thing! Needless to say, I feel much better about my experience with Woodard!

Perfect. This is not the first time we have used Woodard and we will not hesitate to do so again. They take the extra steps that let us know they care about our home: - hand scrubbing problem areas - runners across the hardwood areas where they will walk and place their hoses; - corner guards where the hoses turn corners, protecting the shoe molding; - owner's kits including booties to use while the carpets dry, and a spot cleaner; - of course, moving some furniture and propping heavier ones on foam blocks They are not the least expensive cleaners in the phone book, but these and other extra touches show how they care, and indicate true value

They are great. They did an exceptional job on that. They are very competent, very professional, very, I guess, service oriented. They spend time with you to discuss the issues and their work product is superb. In this area, this general area here, they get right on top of the list of people that I talk to and associate with. Everybody says Woodard if you are going to have any carpet work done.

They were not sure they could clean the "grout" area on the vinyl flooring. A treatment was applied that worked perfectly. Had wanted an upholstered chair cleaned. Was told that the design might not be colorfast, so decided not to proceed with that service.

I only choose Woodard to do my rugs and upholstery because I've known them for quality care of valuable old oriental carpets. I've only used them for articles I take to them. Everything they have done has been done on time and well. I've felt they've given me good advice on whether my old rug could take being cleaned (it was very old and fragile) and then handled it carefully. It seems that they have the experience to trust with your better articles. can't remember the price. I do think they might be a bit higher cost than others, but to me it is worth it if I am having them work worth my higher cost furnishings.

We have used Woodard for years for almost all of our rug-cleaning needs. We continue to use them because they always do the job we need done and they do it well and promptly. The Woodard empolyees that we have dealt with are all that you would want in a company .

Went fine, they were very professional and arrived on time. I would use them again.
