They were excellent. They were honest, straight forward. They came out immediately and did the work and everything works perfect. They had very good ratings on Angies list. I would use them again in the future if needed.

They come out twice a year. They were prompt and did good work. I had no problems with them. I will continue to use them. They are very friendly and when I had any questions about my heating and cooling system they had suggestions on how I could better run my system. They are very knowledgeable.

I spent $15000 on that work. They were very professional and answered all our questions completely and honestly. I did not feel like they were salesmen. Even the workers were extremely professional. They were in when they said they were going to and cleaned up after themselves. They did a good job and kept us informed of what they were doing. They were very knowledgeable and were able to discuss the pros and cons of the work.

They are very courteous and prompt. I like dealing with them and never had any issues with them. They come twice a year, once during the spring and the other during the fall for $150. I like their services and will use the same in future.

Our furnance went out on Sunday, we called the Welsch service that day, the repairman came out and told us that we needed to replace the furnance. The sales rep came out on Monday, and we discussed the equipment that needed to be replaced. The furnance was 23 years old, and the a/c was 13 years old. I decide after discussing this with the sales rep to replace the a/c unit as well. The installation men were timely, and efficient. They removed and cleaned up all debris. I have used Welsch since we moved to this house in 1995. I use them for our annual service of furnance and a/c and they have been very good. I recommend them highly

The installers were right on time and completed work when they said they would. They went the extra mile to ensure a quality installation. They replaced the water taps for my ice maker and humidifier with higher quality units. There were no extra charges or surprises. Welch sent us all the paperwork needed to take advantage of all applicable rebates.

Rick, the salesman, was helpful in suggesting A/C unit that would work efficiently for our two story house and was willing to negotiate the price. The A/C installers were on time, professional, courteous, and had our A/C up & running in half a day. This is the A/C unit our two-story house should have had all along!

Salesman was at my home for an hour - too talkative. Installers were polite, & called when they were running late. We had to call for service on the day of installation as installers overcharged (? overfilled) the freon.

Out standing from estimate to installation! Performed maintenance on my second air conditioner for free just to because they noticed it was dirty.

Great service removing old unit and customizing duct work for new. Nice cleanup and quick service. AC running great now.

We have used Welsch Heating and Cooling to perform routine maintenance since 1996, so when it was time for a new system, we were almost certain that we wanted to purchase our new system from them. We did, however, obtain an evaluation and estimate from another H & C company for comparison. The price from the other company was less, but the equipment they recommended was not as high in quality or efficiency as that recommended by Welsch. We therefore elected to use the company we new best and had always been very satisfied with. The install was timely and efficient. The workmen were on time, pleasant, respective of our home and explained everything they would do in advance. Overall the experience was highly efficient and we will continue to use Welsch for our twice-yearly routine maintenance. We are more than satisfied!

The bid was professionally done, complete, and clear. The installers did a quality job. They were on time, professional, efficient, clean, competent, courteous, and cleaned up the work area nicely after the job was complete. They explained well how to use the new equipment.

fine - went with a service contgract

Furnace pilot light kept going out. They scheduled service for the same day I called. He arrived within the specified time window. He replaced the pilot light thermocouple, cleaned the furnace and checked its operation/health. The repair price was very reasonable for 2 hours of diagnostic and repair work (although the cleaning was previously paid via a service contract). He was professional, competent and answered all questions.

They did a good job and we haven't had any problems. They were punctual and did quality work. The price did seem a little on the high side, but everything else was fine.

They had good pricing and seemed pretty reliable. They were easy to schedule with and we would use them again.

Called Welsch and another contractor to diagnose a refrigerant leak in two 18-year old a/c units. Welsch's technician arrived as promised and thoroughly inspected both outside units, all connecting lines, both inside furnace blowers, and a/c a-coils. Diagnosed the problem as leaking a-coils and recommended that I also look at replacing both outside a/c units given their age. This diagnosis and the addition of Freon cost about $295. I then met with Rick Turlin, the installation manager, to evaluate my options and receive a detailed price quote. Rick arrived as promised, thoroughly examined my entire system, and provided me with 3 options ranging in price from $1,675 to replace both a-coils up to $10,720 to replace both A/C and furnace units. These estimates were significantly lower than that of the competing vendor. In addition, Rick was straightforward in his assessment and did not unduly lead me toward the most expensive option. Based on my research and Rick's recommendation, I decided to replace the a-coils with larger, more modern units. The installer arrived 5 days later as promised. He was courteous and very professional and explained the scope of work in layman's terms before beginning. The installation was non obtrusive and took 1/2 hour less than promised. The premises were properly cleaned so that it appeared as it had before installation. We have had no problems with the new units in the subsequent 2 weeks and are very pleased with Welsch's work.

The salesperson initially seemed helpful but once the order was made I never heard from him again. The installers were nice however the unit they installed did not pass inspection two times with University City. Meanwhile it took 4 weeks to get those inspections finalized. The company had to come back twice and all during that time when it wasn't passing inspection, the company kept sending billing notices of how my payment was overdue. I called in to explain the situation to the billing department and yet they continued to send me bills. In the end, even after the unit passed inspection, I still found leaks in the drain pipe. I contacted the company again and a woman on the phone told me they couldn't come back for a couple weeks. I resorted to fixing the pipe myself.

Salesman phoned me in response to my email inquiry. Sounded gruff, though not impolite. As I was checking my calendar, our call was cut off. Usually in such a case, the caller would redial, but he didn't. I called his number and left a message. It is now 36 hours later, and he hasn't called back. This is a minor rebuke, and certainly doesn't speak to the quality of their work, but I thought it worth making.

I have had a service agreement with Welsch for many years and until now never had any reason not to use them. I checked the cost of the part because the charge for the part was so high I thought perhaps a mistake had been made. I was surprised and disappointed they would not make an adjustment. I think a 700% markup is outrageous.

I haven't had any problems since I've been on their maintenance, which has been 3 years now. They show up when they are scheduled and do the job efficiently.

I called in and they came by same day to give an estimate. While the estimate was about $30 above the other company I called, I went with Welsch because of the responsiveness shown during the estimate. The Welsch engineer was very professional and finished putting the humidifier in a couple of hours. The job looks spectacular and I am quite pleased.

Welsch has been servicing our furnace and air conditioner for the seven years we've been in our condo. When we were considering buying the condo, there were some issues with the furnace. We saw Welsch's sticker on the unit and called them. They came, checked out the unit, turned off the humidifier (which had been left on all summer) and assured us the unit did not need to be replaced. And, No Charge! They have been providing excellent service ever since.

The estimator, Tom, came out the morning after I called. He was punctual (early, actually) and not pushy at all. He walked me through my options, explained the advantages of their products (they carry Lennox). Unlike the other people I got estimates from, he was familiar with the local city (University City) codes (the other two companies misinformed me about the possibility of moving the location of the outdoor unit. He did not try to get me to upgrade beyond my needs (he actually talked me out of a more pricey model). The installation took place the next morning. The installation team was professional, polite and did a great job. I actually changed my mind about the air cleaner that morning and they were able to switch the units, which I appreciated. The head installer walked me through maintaining the unit and they were done ahead of schedule. (They left a little bit of a mess in our bathroom, which they apologized for and if I had said something, they probably would have cleaned up. They cleaned up the area around the unit well.)
