Dave and crew were timely, friendly and courteous. The work was done as estimated. When we returned home, the kitchen area was clean and looked absolutely great. I would recommend Super Dave to all.
Description of Work: Replaced 2 skylights with new, roof underlayment and shingles. Replaced rotten rafters, studding and drywall. Seams taped and painted drywall.

Hired SuperDave as I have used him twice before with amazing results He removed old wall paper from kitchen, sanded/ smoothed walls and painted the walls with a cashmere paint...looks beautiful! Installed back splash behind kitchen sink and stove. Replaced existing appliance cabinet with a new one. The bathroom needed a facelift. SuperDave installed ceramic tile replacing old vinyl tile, a new high efficient toilet installed, new countertop and vanity, new exhaust fan, new baseboards new medicine cabinet, new threshold. painted the walls with a low voc satin paint. It turned out great. He also painted the steps going out from my kitchen into the garage . I am very please with his work and will continue to use SuperDave, his work is absolute quality

Dave did a fantastic job, from start to finish. He was very responsive to my initial phone call, and got back to me right away. He came on the date as promised, and did the job perfectly, and at a very reasonable price. I have worked with Dave for nearly 10 years now, and he has always been great: he is a skilled craftsman, honest, fair, reliable, and dependable. I would not hesitate to call him again!

The job was fantastic, from the demolition to the completed work performed, including electrical work. The professionalism was outstanding. They are always welcome into my home. I know now that I don’t need to seek another contractor for any home project or repair that’s needed in my home, What a relief!!!! Best prices,work performed, and nice people.
Description of Work: Over the summer SuperDave and his crew had done some hail damage repairs for me. When he was here, I showed him some other items I might like done in the near future. After reviewing them. He provided me with a written estimate. I then signed his proposal and returned it to him via mail. A couple of days later called to say he had received the contract and would like to schedule the work to be completed. He scheduled it in for the following Monday. He estimated the work would take approx. 2 days from start to finish. I then purchased some of the materials that I wanted to use such as fixtures so that he would have them on hand upon arrival. He and his partner (Charlie) arrived promptly at 7 am. They were there to remove an existing door, frame and drywall to close that opening, Move my washer and dryer into an existing closet, plaster and paint the entire area including the interior bath wall side and install a laundry sink. The work took an additional day than originally estimated due to some additional plumbing that was required to complete the job to code. This was not found until the drywall had been removed and was not in any way the fault of SuperDave. The additional cost was 500.00 over the original estimate. The total job ended up taking SuperDave and his partner 3 longs days with both arriving early and staying till about 5:30 pm each day. I am very pleased with the work ethic of SuperDave and his crew. They did a very professional job and the repairs turned out outstanding! I was so happy I provided both him and Charlie with a crisp, new 100.00 bill. It was well deserved for his extra effort and I definitely plan on using his services again.

He came to the storage unit, packed up several pieces of furniture, and delivered them to her room at the nursing facility.
Description of Work: We used Dave's services in the past in making repairs around our house, and he did very good work. He even repaired an outdoor faucet that even a professional plumber didn't do properly. In June we hired him for light hauling. Everything went as expected. He's an awfully nice guy besides.

I needed a bedroom painted. Over a 10 day period I called Super Dave and left 4 voice messages w/o a response. Finally, after about 10 days, he responded and left a voice message (said he was very busy). I called again the next day; spoke to Dave, and set up an appointment for an estimate. The day before the appointment, he called and left a voice message saying he had to reschedule for Father's Day. At that point, I gave up on Super Dave.

Called the phone number Angie's List provided on two different days and left a message with the phone number where I could be reached. The recording said this was Super Dave's cell phone. I was calling from my cell phone and left a different number where I could be reached. I leave my cell phone off and can't retrieve messages. I mentioned this in my messages that I left. I never received a reply. I don't remember exactly when I called so I estimated the date. It was very soon after I signed up for membership with Angie's List.

On 04/28/12 my home suffered hail damage. Being new to the area, I immediately called my nephew and told him what had happened. He said he knew of a contractor that might be able to help me. The contractor then set up an apt. with my insurance adjuster and met him at the scheduled time. When doing so he wasn't very knowledgeable to point out all of my damaged areas. Apparently neither was the insurance adjuster that was sent from the insurance company. The adjuster estimated the job at just over 3000.00 which included piecing in the roof, replacing some of the guttering and one side of the siding. This seemed like a very low estimate to me as all my neighbors homes were getting complete roof replacements and two sides of their siding replaced. I then called the company that my neighbor was using. He came over and stated he could do the work the insurance company had estimated for the exact amount given. I assumed that was all I was entitled to so I hired him signing a contract. Well about a month went by with no return calls informing me what was going on. I called my insurance company asking them if this contractor had spoke with them about my claim as was told that he had not even contacted them once. I then fired the contractor and told him he was unprofessional for not keeping me informed and lying to me saying that he was working it out with the insurance company. I then had another family member that I was discussing the problems I was having and he said I needed to call "SuperDave" Immediately I called SuperDave and he scheduled an appointment right away to inspect the damage. His estimate was just under 15,000.00 to do the work. His estimate stated the entire roof, all gutters, all fascias, window wraps, all guttering and 3 sides of the siding had been damaged. I then gave him the insurance company's phone number and he called them on the spot. He scheduled the 1st appointment he could with them which was a little over a week later. The appointment was set for noon and SuperDave arrived about 30 minutes early. He set up a ladder for the adjuster and circled all the areas in question with chalk to make sure nothing was overlooked. The adjuster arrived and Superdave walked him threw all the damage in question. The adjuster pretty much agreed with his findings and said I would receive a revised estimate in a few days. Upon receiving and reviewing the estimate I noticed the insurance estimate was about 3000.00 below Superdaves. I then called him and he scheduled an appointment to review the estimate the following day. He viewed the estimate stating there were many differences between his estimate and theirs and that there was no possible way he could do all the work for that amount. I then called the insurance company telling them that this was the contractor I finally felt comfortable with and wanted to use and that they would have to increase the amount so he could do so, This took apx. ten days of going back and forth between myself, SuperDave and my insurance company. By the time it was all said and done we managed to work it all out and i ended up with 4 sides of siding instead of one! Immediately when the check arrived I called SuperDave and signed it over to him. He informed me a dumpster would be placed in front of my home the following morning apx. 7am. Within hours he arrived back with tools and supplies he would need to do the job storing them all in my garage. The following day the shingles were delivered just as he stated they would be. This was on a friday and it had a chance of rain over the weekend. He stated he would be there the following monday to start the job and would be there from start to completion. He and his crew arrived bright and early each day. Really early, so be prepared for that. SuperDave and two others were up on the roof while others were doing the siding, window wraps and fascias. All were very knowledgeable with what they were doing and were very careful to pay attention to detail and quality. They were doing such a great job I even bbq'd for them on two of their workdays to show my appreciation. SuperDaves gutter contractor came on the last day to install all new gutters matching all the fascias they had installed. From start to finish the entire project took about a week total. I am a firm believer that things happen for reasons. The problems I had with the previous contractors seem like nothing now. Cause in the end, I ended up with basically a brand new home instead of the piece meal job that I almost received. I can't thank SuperDave and his Crew enough for all the extra effort that was given. He made something that was so confusing, so simple. I am already considering for another project on the interior of my home.

It was wonderful. Even though it was a messy job, he is very clean and they shop-vacked everything up and made sure there was no mess left behind, which was very nice. I like the fact that Dave himself did the work himself. He just didn't come and bid the job and not show up, he was here doing work.
Description of Work: He installed replacement basement windows. They also re-installed my drapes dowstairs. They made it look just like it was before they came.

He did a great job and he was very personable. He even came and followed up on it. It turned out real well. I've recommended him to several of my friends.
Description of Work: We had a leak in the roof. He had a heck of a time finding it and came back twice. He found the leak and we haven't had a problem since.

Super Dave custom built a cover that is attractive and should do the job. It is closed on the sides as well as the sloping main face. It still allows air to circulate and you can see through the smoke colored material when the inside window is opened. It's easily moved when necessary. This was much less expensive than covers I've priced on the internet.
Description of Work: Have one large basement window that has a deep well. I wanted to cover this to reduce or eliminate the amount of rain that falls in the window well to reduce seepage into the basement.

Overall , the best contracted service I have ever used. This was a major job and was well prepared and planned for by SuperDave. Everything was set up and ready to go for the team each day. The Team arrived on time , they were very professional, did the work, cleaned up thoroughly . Everything was done to perfection and I was more than pleased. Met my expectations; above and beyond. I highly recommend SuperDave for any job; absolute quality in every aspect of the business. It is SO refreshing to feel this comfortable and pleased about a contractor!!!!!!!! I will continue to use his services in the future.
Description of Work: Replaced entire roofing with quality materials. Replaced vents on roof. Replaced all gutters , power washed the ENTIRE dwelling, replaced damaged door, replaced all wrapping around exterior, replaced all exterior trim on siding, additional exterior repairs, removed ALL old materials and waste, cleaned and organized my entire garage, painted exterior doors

Since Dave never contacted us, we have no information about the quality of work. We were very disappointed because we were looking forward to working with someone so highly rated by Angie's List.
Description of Work: We were very excited to find a reputable handyman in our area. We called Dave twice and left messages with him to dicuss a potential job, but our phone calls were never returned.

AS STATED BEFORE THIS REPORT WAS MADE...... I really would like to explain as to why I have been unable to respond immediately to the recent incoming calls within the last month or so. Actually there are several reasons. The biggest reason is that we had an unexpected kitchen fire in our home. It was devastating. The last month has been nothing but trying to keep up with work that was signed prior to the fire and making our home livable. The second reason is due to the recent wind and hail storms it has been impossible for me to keep up with the demand. When I sign a job it is my priority to keep the promises that I have made to each and every customer over pursuing future work. I am smaller company that does the work, not one that signs all kinds of jobs and then sends sub-contractors to your home. When you sign a job with me, You get myself, my crew and exactly what I have promised you. Thirdly I had a major problem getting messages on my phone. I believe that I have resolved this now but it still may take awhile for me to get back with you. If you need immediate assistance I suggest that you send me an email threw the company connect listed on my page. This guarantees that you will get at the minimum a return email or phone call from myself within 24 hours or less. I am really disappointed to see all the bad reviews that have been placed on my business page here recently. All I can do is hope that customers will read all my reviews and see that the reviews I have received from customers I have actually worked for are outstanding. We strive for the best reviews possible. However, I cannot satisfy everyone, all of the time. I really wish I could but I can't. So, with this being said, I really want to offer my sincere apology to EACH AND EVERY CUSTOMER that I have not returned a phone call to. It is not that we do not value your business. It has just been impossible to keep up with the demand. We could not survive without you. Thank you very much for even considering my company.

Sent Dave an email through Angie's List and received a response the same day. Scheduled to come out and promised not to leave until he was sure the problem was fixed. Went into the attic, found the problem (along with another problem that hadn't caused damage yet!). Took photos so I could see what he saw in the attic. Got the required materials from a nearby home improvement store and returned to fix both issues. One was a plumbing issue and one was a hole in the roof. He was fast, friendly, and reasonably priced and guaranteed to come back within 1 year if the leak returns. Very satisfied, Wish I had called him first and bypassed the 2 roofing companies!
Description of Work: Unidentified leak coming through the ceiling of bedroom. Had 2 roofing companies perform repairs without fixing the problem. They refused to come back and go in the attic to locate the problem.
