He was amazing! He stayed an hour and a half to explain where every issue might be and how to fix it. He found the problem was actually with our HVAC unit versus our insulation and was able to show the temperature of the air coming out of the floor vents to support his conclusion. He was very knowledgable, kind and polite. I would certainly recommend his services!

I noticed my air conditioner(s) were having trouble keeping the house cool. So I had my HVAC service contractor inspect my systems to make sure all were working well. And they were. Since my home was built in 1988. I was told I should check my insulation. I had 3 companies inspect my attic for possible issues with the insulation. All 3 came to the same conclusion. That I didn't have enough insulation for todays standards. And there were a few areas, where the insulation was not installed correctly. I felt Marc Bluestone (owner of Smart House), was the most thorough. And was very upfront and honest of expectations and realities my home presented. His bid was also very competitive, so I went with Smart House. The installers were on time & very professional. They gave me updates during the two days it took for the job. I was so impressed, I cancelled my present HVAC maintenance contractor. And signed up for Smart House to be my HVAC contractor.

All we received was a quote for insulation. We didn't receive any report or summary of the inspection.

I bought a big deal for this service and they were excellent. I was totally pleased and am using them now for my heating and cooling. I have recommended them to my daughter. I am pleased in every way. They are very personable, knowledgeable and explain everything as they go along. I just was really very impressed. I also signed up for their deal where they come yearly for checkups in the summer and winter.

The individual provided exactly the services stated on the "Bid Deal". He was friendly and very knowledgeable. We would use this company again.

It was a big job and they handled everything as professionals. They covered every detail and cleaned up afterward. Could not have asked for anything more.

He came and was on time. He came and took pictures. He told me that I didn't need any insulation. He e-mailed the pictures, that he took, of my attic.

I purchased a home energy audit. We scheduled a day and time for the rep to come to my house and perform the service. I took the day off work and no one showed. I called and the provider had a different day scheduled. Honestly unsure who was at fault, in the end, I didn't follow up for another service call.

The serviceman did a thorough examination of my furnace and pointed out the one part that may likely need replacement within the next few years although this part was still within tolerances at this time.

Marc Bluestone arrived promptly, and after looking over the whole attic, told me my insulation was fine! He said I could certainly add more, but I wouldn't see much in the way of energy savings. I was so impressed with his honesty, I would certainly use this company again.

It was fine. He fixed it fine and its been working ever since. When he did the inspection, something was cracked and he ended up repairing it. He was very professional. He found right away what was wrong and was able to fix it.

My roommate was the one present at the time of the job because I couldn't get off work. I just feel a bit taken advantage of.

Marc is very knowledgeable and personable. He inspected the house with particular attention to the attic in our older home. He recommended attic insulation as the most cost-effective way to improve our energy efficiency. We accepted his bid and his team of 2 workers finished the job in about 1/2 day. Workers cleaned up area nicely. Since it was January, we actually noticed a difference in the master bedroom/bath area right away, with a change from R-18 to R-49. Rooms no longer feel cooler than the rest of the house.

I had a very good experience with them. A handful of people came to do the work. They were on time and courteous. Everything was great.

It did not turn out real well. They did not get a hold of me forever. When they finally did get a hold of me I had to cancel some of the dates because I was looking for a job and had an interview and couldn’t be there on those dates. They said they refused to come back out to do the service and said they would do the service for the winter check but I needed it for the summer, and they said they would not hold it for that long. I am going to get refund on deal.

They did what they were supposed to do and it seemed fine.

I purchased 2 Furnace Tune Up and Inspections on Angie's List. I had to purchase 2 since I have a dual zone HVAC with 2 furnaces. The service was completed on time and correctly. The service company called same day of purchase to set up the appointment. The appointment was set for the following week and received a courtesy call 24 hours prior to arrival. The service person also called 1 hour before the scheduled time and let me know that he would arrive on time which he got there about 5-10 minutes early. Great communication. The service person was absolutely excellent! He started right away and was fully prepared with all the latest instruments for the tune up. Throughout the service he provided me with tips and things to look for throughout the winter and normal usage. He also inspected the humidifiers attached to the furnaces for no additional charge. He found one short/electrical issue and repaired it on the spot...again for no additional charge. The entire tune up/inspection lasted about 2 hours. Once he was completed he showed me exactly what he had done by walking me through each area of the furnace. He even showed me how the system works mechanically so I could see all the moving parts for proper function. The service included new filters which installed. The only additional charge was for a humidifier filter replacement which came out to $18. At the end, the service person helped me set my digital thermostats and humidifier settings! Absolutely one of the best home service technicians that I have ever had. I highly recommend this company and will definitely use them in the future.

It was fine. They were in and out. They were very professional. They took care of what was needed.
