The technician was fabulous. He really took the time to explain everything to us and show us in detail our house issues. We have not gone forward yet with the fixes only because of a funding shortfall. For that reason we can not speak to their execution. However, in their analysis phase, we were very pleased.

The County I live in had a program wherein I could get assistance in getting some work done for home. This was one of the companies that were listed with them. I looked them up on Angie’s List and they had good reviews. I compared their ratings with some other companies, and theirs was the best. I spoke to their people, and they sounded like people I could use. So, I used them.

I think the guy did a very good job with things and conveyed information clearly. He was certainly unintrusive around the house and I didn't have any problems.

Insulation on top of old wool insulation in attic of 1,100 Sq Ft. home. Air sealing. It went really well. Our energy bills have certainly come down.

It was a very good experience. He explained everything very well. I would like to get some more bids from other companies to compare.

I got them from Angie's List. They were first class in every respect. The people on the phone were first class, and so was the guy they sent out for the inspection. The report they sent with photos of everything they found on the attic was first class. They were very careful to explain everything that they would do to reinsulate the attic and fix some things. I had no problems with the price or anything. They were just first grade.

The price was a little above average but the people who worked for the company were great! They did a really good job of checking for building leaks and they fixed all the leaks they found. I found it well worth the money. They even advised me of the most cost effective things to fix. Which I checked up on and they were correct.

Their estimate was extremely high. They should have given me a discount on my home energy audit. Instead of giving me a reimbursement, they gave me 30 or 60 days to use the money towards work being done. The guy who came was very professional and courteous, but I was not happy with how they handled the left over money I paid. He did point out everything in the home energy audit that needed to be addressed, however, the report he printed out was very vague. When I asked them about getting a more detailed report, they didn't respond. They were really responsive when it came to answering my call. I would not use them again because their estimate was so out of the ballpark.

Joe was punctual for the audit. The audit wasn't as detailed as I anticipated, but I still think the audit was worth the $99 dollars. It helps to identify the higher value fixes. I am always leery of companies that seem to structure prices by setting them very high, then offering teaser rates, discounts, etc. to try and get your business. I suspect anyone paying full price from HGH is getting gouged.

We just thought that they were very good. We thought the guy they sent to do the survey was good. He informed us and gave us a big report with all the stuff in it. When they came to do the work in the attic, they did a good job of that. They were professional and seemed very thorough. They were careful with our house. We've been very happy with the results.

Very prompt, professional and explained in language I cold understand.

Audit reasonably priced. Bid ~$4500 (high end in comparison to others). Professional service. Would consider if desire repeat energy audit.

Joe, the guy that came out, was very efficient, professional and helpful. He also gave me a list of things he recommended I do in the future. I may use him when I add some insulation.

The audit was fine. Came on time, used fan to blow through the house and showed me "hot spots" where air was escaping. However, the recommendations surprised me. The main recommendations were to seal ductwork in the basement and attic, and insulate electric boxes and lights. I have checked with Laclede Gas and with our furnace company, and they both said that such improvements would not pay off nearly as much as some more obvious things -- new windows, & new garage door for example. So I decided not to pursue the $3247 primary recommendations, or the $3543 additional recommendations made. Some things I did myself -- such as a CO alarms which cost $40 at Lowes, vs. the $231 they quoted for three, and insultation for the electric outlets -- also very easy and cheap. I think the audits are to drum up business for what they can do, not necessarily for what you need.

Provided an energy audit by putting an insert in front door with fan to create negative pressure. Purpose of energy audit was for insulation, not windows and doors .Used special cameras and instruments to determine where we had air leaks and explained as the audit progressed. Went into the attic to inspect the insulation and noted any problems i.e. our plumbing vent pipes were not connected, took pictures in attic of all good and bad areas of insulation. Used instruments and testing equipment to test our furnace and a/c to determine if our equipment was sized correctly and working efficiently.Went over all tests and pictures in person. Audit took a couple of hours. Since this was an insulation audit, the concentration was on ceilings, not windows and doors. A couple of days later, I received digital copies of all pictures taken. I also received a full written report on poor insulation areas that was very detailed. Included was a detail description of all insulation work they propose to do, along with the prices. I found the prices to be fair and liked that each area was broken out so that I could pick and choose what work we would like done.

They were on time and did their job. I would recommend them to somebody that wants to inspect their house.

The service technician, Joe, showed up on time, was nice, professional and provided good recommendations. He also provided bids on his recommendations. But, I did think their bids were a little high.

The representative was very helpful explaining what he was seeing and by providing recommendations based on best bang for the buck.

We had previously had Home Sweet Home do an energy audit and did several of the items they suggested. When we saw the Angie's Big Deal Credit of $500 toward insulation, we decided to have them come out again, do the whole house energy audit to see if our fixes had made a difference and go ahead with the added insulation they had previously suggested. The audit showed that the air flow was better in the house so our previous fixes had helped. Because of the 7 recessed lights in the house, we had to pay addition money to add the covers around the recessed light fixtures. This has been a mild winter, but we do believe the additional insulation has helped to maintain the heat in the house.

It was about 2 - 3 hours and very detailed in inspection, with computers, exhaust fan, CO2 checks, photos of the attic, enough detail to satisfy and justify the proposed work, insulating our home. The presentation/audit was very professional, no hard sales, just an explantation of the facts he found in the audit. Because of the costs even with the coupon, we are looking into other options to add insulation and have not contracted with anyone yet.

I enjoyed working with them. When Joe did the audit, he explained the process and results very well. He showed me where and why I was losing heat. He went over the proposal in a very professional way, prioritzing the options so I would get the most bang for the buck. I felt their pricing was reasonable. Then, his co-workers came to fix the items I could afford to do right away. They were on time, did a good job and cleaned up after themselves. Overall, it was a very good experience. I would use them again and would give them positive reviews to others.

The crew arrived on time. They explained in detail every step along the way. You could tell these guys liked their job. Very friendly and knowledgeable. They came in and started to look over the areas they were to work on. Started "warming" up the foam machine and tearing down the old insulation in the basement that extended over the foundation. And then in general continued to do all that had to be done. They asked me at the end of the project to inspect all their work to make sure we were satisfied. They then conducted another energy test at the end and showed me the results before they departed.

The initial price was $99 but I upgraded their service for a more detailed report and that was done for an additional $100. I thought that was very reasonable for a thorough report. My overall experience with them was excellent.

Great job from start to finish. Very punctual, professional and complete. They completed the audit in about 2 hours. Then did the actual work 10 days later. The work took about 10 hours over 2 days.
