Schulz Painting - Remodeling Company

Not hearing back from him with a second estimate, I contacted another company that I had used before. During the time that I was waiting for Tom to give me an estimate on the second project, I actually arranged time for an estimate from a second company and was able to have the second project done. I then contacted Schulz again and told him I just wanted to schedule a time to have the smaller project done pursuant to the puchased Big Deal. The work appears to have been done properly but since I was there, I can certtainly attest to the fact that it took less than the 4 hours purchased. Tom seems like a really nice guy and competent, but frankly I was turned off by how much I had to do, in terms of initiating contact, to get the work done. I would not use again.

Good communication, punctual, friendly and accommodating. With the work that he is doing he has attention to detail, meticulous and good quality.

Tom showed up and got right to work. He is very personable and easy to work with. He is extremely fast and does excellent work. Everything was cleaned up and we could not be happier. We are having him give us a bid on more work and will be using him in the future.

Tom came and looked at the project gave us an estimate. We also asked him to look at another project and provide us with an estimate. His response back to us with the two estimates via email was prompt. We decided to have him do the repair work in our kitchen wall for the cost of the Big Deal. Tom arrived on time and repaired the wall, doing an excellent job. We had to have some tiles moved from one end of the kitchen to the other, which Tom did for us. He painted over the repaired wall and the place where we had to remove some tiles, he cleaned up his work mess and explained what he had done, once he was finished. Tom did excellent work, I would and most likely will use him again.

I thought that I wrote more, but evidently it didn't get submitted. Anyway, Tom did a fantastic job identifying what we needed, he was always extremely prompt with returning messages to me, and very conscientious about our time, especially when it came to coming and going from the house. He ended up doing more than the 4hrs, and his pricing was more than reasonable. He arrived when he said he would and seemed like he was always cleaning up after himself. He probably went through about 100 wet swiffers cleaning up the floors. He sealed off rooms and covered everything with tarps as well. I would definitely recommend him for the work you need completed, and would hire him again without hesitation.

Tom was a pleasure to work with. He showed up on time to have a look at my repair, and gave me his thoughts on what exactly should be done in order to get the best results. His goal was to fix my problem without any additional upselling which was refreshing! After reading all his great reviews and meeting him in person, we felt comfortable enough to let him have access to our home to do the repair while we were on vacation! He contacted us letting us know when he was at our house and then again letting us know when he left. He even sent us pictures to show us the final repair results! It was nice coming home seeing a great job done with no mess left behind and knowing we wouldn't be dealing with the repair issue any longer. Right now, you can't tell we had any holes in our ceiling or wall. We already had the paint for everything, but the $185 total was for the repair, painting, caulking and buying a 16 foot section of crown molding, Tom said he thought he could do the job in 4 hours and he was right on target! We are very happy with the outcome and very happy with the price! We would hire him again!

Tom created the best experience I have ever had with a contractor! He got back to me in a timely manner with coming out to do my estimate, he arrived when he said he would, my work was great and he was very flexible. I kept adding on last minute problems I would find and he was willing to add them to my work order.

Tom showed up on time for the bid and he was honest, straightforward, and was willing to work around the weather and my schedule to get the job done. Throughout the duration of the project, Tom kept me informed of his planned work schedule and worked around my schedule as necessary. I was pleased with Tom and his work and would use him again and recommend him to others.

Tom showed up on time and was extremely pleasant as well as professional. We felt we received great value and a professionally done job. He even touched up some areas that I had previously painted and improved the outcome dramatically. We will have Tom back the next time we need painting done.

It was our first meeting and I found out that Tom Schulz is very professional and punctual. He did all these small projects at my house to my complete satisfaction and rechecked that fan and bulbs attached to it worked properly few times before he left my house. Also, I was also able to do my office work, take care of my kid while he finished these tasks. I will definitely and always use his services in future and recommend him to my friends and other Angie's List customers.

Tom showed up on time and did the work needed in a quality and professional manner. He was easy to have in the house and went the distance helping find the extra paint needed to match the walls of our utility room which required finding the original paint from a dozen cans of paint that came with house when we purchased it last year. He did a great job at an affordable price and was easy to have in the house. We definitely plan to have him come back to help with more paint projects.

Wonderful! Tom was great! Great communication, punctual, friendly, clean, and great job on the painting. We will definitely be using him again and not only foe painting. He also hung 2 ceiiling fans for us.

I first contacted Schulz Painting Company for a bid in early July. The company uses Appointy scheduling software and I received an email confirmation of the appointment which was helpful. Tom arrived at the agreed upon time, did a walk-around with me to identify the potential projects for separate bids. He then walked around again to take more specific notes. His estimate itemized each project. We were not able to get right to the painting project and, in the meantime, Tom got busy with some other projects. As we were about to list our house, Tom did find a way to work us in to his schedule. The finished work looks terrific, and Tom was careful to clean up after he finished.

Tom was incredibly flexible and easy to work with. He is knowledgeable and personable. I received 3 bids for the work in my kitchen. One for $2,000; one for $1600; and one for $1300. Tom was the middle bid. Due to his professionalism and attention to detail, I decided to hire him for the work. It has been some of the best money that I ever spent. He doesn't try to nickel and dime you throughout the process. He will work with you to get the job done in your timeframe and on your budget. You end up getting good quality work and expertise at a good price. He doesn't hire out his business to a bunch of low paid employees. Tom does most of the work himself and oversees all his jobs personally. There is no need to call anyone else. Just call Tom; talk to him about the work; discuss a price range; and he will make it work for you. I have more jobs around the house, and I will continue to work with Tom.

He was superb and did a beautiful job. I highly recommend him. He was very professional and creative.

It went very well! We had a storm and our poolhouse and garage weathervane were damaged. He came out and repaired and painted everything, putting it back up and waterproofing it. He did a really nice job on it. I was very happy with the experience.

Work was excellent. He kept house clean and I trusted him to work in house alone. He keep in communication and satisfied addition requests. I would hire again.

I purchased two "deals" on Angie's list. I received two other quotes, but his was the best plus I already had the two "deal" coupons. He was a bit slow to start since the weather was so unpredictable and I never really knew when he would show up to work. I wasn't in a hurry and it was the exterior of the house, so he could really arrive and depart at will. He did a great job sanding, filling and repainting the shutters and filled two woodpecker holes in two columns - nicely done. He then painted the columns and facia boards around the house where he saw there was a need. I would hire him again.

I got Tom's name from Angie's list and called to get info. He was very professional and submitted a detailed bid for all of the work I needed. He stuck to his schedule and his bid and did an amazing job. I couldn't be happier and will definitely use him again. I highly recommend

Tom wrote up an estimate, giving fixed prices for each project, so that we could pick and choose the ones that were a priority, and have the flexibility to call back later on others if they became a neccessity. This made the process very easy. Tom did a good job and got everything done by the deadline we agreed on. He also walked through everything afterwards to make sure it was ok, which it was. He even did a bit of extra painting that was needed even though not in the project. I will definitely use Tom again and would recommend him.

Start to finish was a good experience. Tom organized his time and the items to be done. He kept his work clean and in order.

Tom was extremely responsive and was even the one who initiated contact after I purchased the deal. He was able to work with my schedule which can be kind of crazy and sent a reminder email the day before. Very easy and very thorough.
